Nokia Nseries :: 808 How To Disable 'Connection Failed Connection Unavaible
Nov 8, 2012
Ok I have a 808 bought it as a camera after it updated it, I get this unacceptable repeated popup"Connection Failed Connection Unavailable".Its like every 30 seconds. Its total black background message occupies valuable screen real estate at the top of the screen and repeatedly hinders normal usage of the device, causing especially unpleasant experience when capturing pictures or video. How do nokia users like me go about disabling this message and continue enjoying the experience of the brand we choose to trust?
I just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.
my airtel networks acees point "mobile office " used to work in nokia 701 for a week now its not working it has been 7 days whever i try to connect i just get this message "connection failed, connection unavailable"
Frequently, a couple of seconds after ending a call with someone on my 5800, the screen is filled with the message "packet data connection active" for a moment. The message won't go away by clicking on the screen. The only way to force it away is by clicking the red button, but that would also take me away from whatever menu or application I was at, so I'd prefer not to do that. Also, I don't want to change to connectivity settings per se, (as seen in, for example, this topic: [URL]). Rather, is there any way to disable just the message?
Just charged it yesterday and I don't want frequent auto recharging via USB connection while I connect to PC suite ruins the battery for me as repeated charge and discharge would ruin Li-Ion battery. So how do you disable recharging via USB while connecting to the PC?
I have nokia X7 and sometimes it shows the messages "conn. fail." and after this mssg I cannot make a call nor anyone can call me. Then I have to reset my phone and after sometime it come again.
My friend has Nokia E5 and he installed Joikuspot Light which turns the phone to a 3G wifi hotspot. Then I was able to connect my laptop to web using his phone as 3G wifi router. [URL] I was able to connect iphone to web using his phone as 3G wifi router. But when I tried to connect my HTC legend (its Wi-Fi is enabled),,,,,Android Version 2.2 HTC was not able to find the nokias SSID (although SSID's broadcast is enabled) even when I added that SSID manually HTC complains that it is not in the range. My HTC was able to connect my home router wirelessly with no problem?
I got a problem with the bluetooth. I can send files with it but I can't receive them. My phone can be seen by everyone when bluetooth are active, I accept the file that other people want to share and then a message such as "connection failed" or similar, appear on the phone of the other people. Someone told me that I should reset the phone, is it the right solution? Is a backup necessary before the reset? I need to transfer some job files.
After updating my Nokia C7 to belle I have noticed that the Social app fails at connecting to the internet, be it wifi or 3g. As soon as it starts it says: Network is unavailable. please try again later. I'm in the UK on 3 network.
Newly changed my subscription. I get these messages trying to use ovimaps on my cell:First I get this message: "Connection failed?" and the it goes in a mode "Waiting for GPS?" but after 15 minutes it has still not found GPS signal. In addition I can tell that internet now works 100% perfect but my yahoomail only reach connection 8 out of 10 attempt to get connection. Using mu yahoo email account on the phone I get the message. "Shot down one of the connection".
Every now and then the pop up menu to select a network connection (ie. search wlan...) keeps appearing on my home screen. Is there a way to disable this? It is getting quite annoying. I have set the 'Show WLAN availabiliy' to Never in the WLAN settings but it still appears every now and then, probably when a network is nearby Im guessing.
Nokia Maps app cannot connect to the internet. It remains in the offline mode. On trying connecting to internet connection failed is displayed. How could I make nokia maps online?
I've recently bought a Nokia 5800 xm and have been able to connect it to my home internet using the wlan wifi.
I can only use the wifi if i go to settings>connectivity>wlan. If i go straight to internet, it tries to connect to t-mobile internet. This also happens when trying to use applications such as bbc iplayer and the ovi store.
Is there a way of setting the wifi connection as the default connection? If not, is there a way of setting up my applications so they connect using wifi?
Recently I have just moved to Spain, therefore I have unlocked my C7 and bought a new Spanish sim (Yoigo) for mainly accessing the internet. However I am unable to access the Yoigo internet. Everytime I try to, it says 'Connecting to T-Mobile internet' (My old provider). I've tried all sorts of settings but no luck. Anyone know what I can do?
since the last FW update the data connection is always on is connects automatically after manually disconnection it. It is creating around 200 to 300MB of traffic per day.Checking in the connection manager it is the App Messaging.Checking with the App "DataWatch" the application neasserver creates the traffic. It could be somehow linked with the Exchange Mail client?
I have noticed that sometimes the 808 needs to be restarted before it will connnect as USB Mass Storage mode. White 808 Pureview NAMBlack N8 NAMSilver N95-3 NAM
There seems to be a problem with the map upgrade. The data connection always goes on if I use the internet. Just browsing turns the data connection always on. I have been unable to find a fix for this. Unless I just reboot the phone or terminate the data link manually. There is no reason for this to happen. I am not running any program in the background that I can see that demands constant data connection. If it was, I would have disabled it long time ago.
But just browsing the internet seems to turn on the constant data connection. From what I can best tell. This started after I upgraded to the newest versions of map. It is my suspicion this has something to do with the new software that checks the location of the phone to gather information about local events. But I cannot find that program anywhere running to terminate it once it starts. But it is visible in the program add menu on where widget can be added to the home screen.
I just received a N8 and wanted to totally update everything. When it was doing the "N8 firmware update" it suddenly stopped, saying the connection to the phone was lost.
if it is possible to have automatic connection for a Bluetooth headset? My Plantonics Voyager Pro worked fine with my E71 just enable bluetooth on the phone and it connected. On my N8 I have to manually connect to the headset everytime, which is a pain.
Am I doing something wrong?, or is this feature not available on the N8?
I have been using my N8 for one year. I have not faced any problem so far except this one. For the last couple of days, Whenever I start to speak on the phone , in a few seconds time, call ends and I get same message."CONNECTION ERROR"
all my office friends are using our office wifi in their nokia phones. but my phone 701 is connecting with wifi.. but no internet.. I reinstalled my device software also it is not working.
From time to time my N8(Belle) will not connect to my WiFi. When I look at the wifi-list my network is listed as "known", but not connected to. When I press on it the only options are Details and Delete the AP. I can't force the phone to connect to a specific AP, which would be nice.If I turn the phone off and on again, it finds the Wifi and connects to it just fine. But it really shouldn't be necessary to reboot it in the first place.
For the past few weeks the Maps program will not connect to the internet. It will bring up the local wifi that is available and say that the connection has failed. But all other uses of the internet are perfectly fine. Tried restarting. Firgured next step is to reinstall the whole thing but wanted to see if there was a solution that comes before that whole bit.
I ran the Symbian Anna update a few days ago & since then, my N8 will not connect to Ovi Maps/Internet etc. I get a "pop-up" saying "Conn failed/Conn unavailable" whenever I try? I have tried connecting through WLAN, but received the same error? I have restored the factory settings etc, but nothing seems to work.
I have a Nokia 6301b. I cannot log into any google site (gmail, calendar, google voice), aol, or facebook. I get the error message: "secure connection not available".
I am getting a "Select connection" prompt quite frequently (atleast once a minute) on my 5800. This has started happening in the last week or so. Yes - I have searched the forums and googled. I have not altered my network drive settings (solution in one thread) and the internet connection test is set to "Never run" in the Wireless LAN settings. I do sync my GMail account - and I do not want to disable automatic sync. Everything was working fine until last week. I think once we set a destination (Internet) for the email sync then it should not keep prompting again and again to select connection.
