I just received a N8 and wanted to totally update everything. When it was doing the "N8 firmware update" it suddenly stopped, saying the connection to the phone was lost.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm getting a "Network connection lost" error shortly after the installation of a downloaded app is started. The status bar gets to about 15% and then the installation is interrupted. I've tried using WiFi and non-WiFi connections, but the result remains the same. My N8-00 was upgraded to the Belle OS over the weekend and it caused most of the apps to be uninstalled. Now I'm trying to get them back but fail to do so because of the error.

Ovi Suite connection is ok. Comes with Music is now useless, as I can't transfer the music to my X6. SW version is 20.0.005, date 23-3-2010. "Modified" version 20.0.005.226.01 dated 15-4-2010. Language package 03. X6-00. Type RM-559. Last update 14:38. Please HELP ! I have changeg the USB connection method, restarted PC several times as well the phone, nothing is working. Earlier these type of issues, which seems to be typical for X6, have been recovered by restarting either or both PC and X6.

However using Micro USB cable when I try to do a Backup or Update the software (problem is also on Nokia Software Updater) it says that the USB connection to the Device is lost and everything fails.I am using Windows 7 64bit (cable is a Standard USB cable)

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have updated my N8 to Belle via Nokia Suite. Now I am getting Internet connection failure (GPRS and 3G) while connecting. I have checked this with two other sim on which internet is already activated.
But when I do a hard reset to my phone, I get the internet activated for a while (I also keep WiFi disabled as I don't want it).
I can still change my wallpapers BUT I can only use pictures taken and the default ones. I made sure that the custom ones I made are the same as the default ones. View 1 Replies View RelatedI just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.

View 5 Replies View RelatedYesterday the software update Nokia Belle for C7 was approved for my region. I installed it instantly by following the instructions. After the update my device worked well, but I noticed some things that may point to a software problem on the device. I decided to reinstall it. I followed the instructions, the Nokia Suite checked and found the installation file on my PC and the reinstallation began normally. A backup was made of my contacts and other stuff, then the installation began.
Not long after that the Suit says that the connection to my device is lost (not a windows warning). It suggested several things to do to continue, but it couldn't. Currently my C7 is not working. I tried to remove and put back the battery & recharge it but still can't start the phone. When I plug it to my PC via USB, I hear the windows sound for USB device connected and disconnected after that. The only living sign of my device is the little white light, next to the USB port, which is blinking when I plug the charger and try turn the phone On.
I tried to update my maps definition by checking on Ovi Suite on my PC via USB. Some updated maps were available, but during the update, I've lost the connection with USB. From now, there is no "cities" folder on E: and Ovi Suite can't upload new maps. So I have Ovi maps working but without any Maps ! It says my memory card is full, but there is 28Go available!

It is creating around 200 to 300MB of traffic per day.Checking in the connection manager it is the App Messaging.Checking with the App "DataWatch" the application neasserver creates the traffic.It could be somehow linked with the Exchange Mail client?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThere seems to be a problem with the map upgrade. The data connection always goes on if I use the internet. Just browsing turns the data connection always on. I have been unable to find a fix for this. Unless I just reboot the phone or terminate the data link manually. There is no reason for this to happen. I am not running any program in the background that I can see that demands constant data connection. If it was, I would have disabled it long time ago.
But just browsing the internet seems to turn on the constant data connection. From what I can best tell. This started after I upgraded to the newest versions of map. It is my suspicion this has something to do with the new software that checks the location of the phone to gather information about local events. But I cannot find that program anywhere running to terminate it once it starts. But it is visible in the program add menu on where widget can be added to the home screen.
if it is possible to have automatic connection for a Bluetooth headset? My Plantonics Voyager Pro worked fine with my E71 just enable bluetooth on the phone and it connected. On my N8 I have to manually connect to the headset everytime, which is a pain.
Am I doing something wrong?, or is this feature not available on the N8?

Also, mobi cant be used and store too. I don't know if another app is not working(just checked store and fmobi) I want to know what happen.
