Nokia :: 5800 Connection Error Message As There Is No Wireless?
Mar 26, 2010So this is a new problem, never had this before. I often use wireless, but sometimes it has poor signal and is impossible to use so I also use simple mobile internet. Usually the phone using opera mini asks if you want to use mobile internet (not wireless) but now it almost never does, so I get the connection error message as there is no wireless, but I also cannot use my mobile internet. Just today it gave me problems because of that. bassicly, I cannot use internet, unless I have good wireless signal.And I have mobile internet as priority number 1 in my settings. So is there something else to do? This problem is appearing and dissapearing. Thought could be from bad wireless, it kinda locks itself on it or something, but turning off the phone doesn't help.I hope I gave all the neccesary details for someone to understand this

Jan 20, 2010I have nokia 5800 and i like it very much... But i have a problem with it ..... the problem that when i download any thing from nokia OVI Store from my mobile like: Games, apps and videos when download finished and starting to install the games or the apps it's say's: "installation failed" and when i redownload it again nothing change and keep saying "installation failed" ........ and i noted that when i install app ( themes, apps and games ) on my mobile by ovi suite or by file manager it also say's to me "Expired Certificat" even if i signed this apps but it alwyas say's "Expired Certificat"....... for this problem i did: hard reset - format my mobile - format my sd card - update my mobile to v40 - but the problem never stops to return in a few hours ..... then i find out that when i need to install any app on my mobile (by ovi suite or ovi store in my mobile or file manager) i have to switch off the mobile and turn it on again to install what ever i want ...... so Plz help me out
1- I have 2 friends having the same problem that i have and they did what i did
2- my mobile software v. when the problem stated v31
3- my memory card 8 GB the orginal one
Nokia Nseries :: 808 - Connection Failed Connection Unavailable Message
Jan 7, 2013I just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.

Aug 22, 2010I have Nokia 5800 since 1 year. It was working fine and battery life time was 2 to 3 days. Before 3 days, I was outside when my phone switched off due to battery run out. After 5 hours arrived my home and plugged in the charger and switched on the phone immediately.I was surprised when I found that the time is 5 hours back, it should be correct in new phones.Any way, since that time when I am trying to call any number, I am getting connection error and No network coverage alarms although I have a strong signal bar and 3G is persists.I had to restart my phone and I could make a call until it stopped again.Also I noticed that the battery is running out after 6 hours only.I tried many things until I solved the connection problem by changing the network mode from Dual to GSM and it worked fine but still the battery life time is around only 6 hours.Actually, I don't know what the problem is. Is it a hardware or software problem? I read many topics that soft and hard reset has no use. I upgraded Firmware to V 30 .0.011 since 7 months without any problem.No I am trying to recalibrate the battery and adjust its pins hopefully it will work.

The message won't go away by clicking on the screen. The only way to force it away is by clicking the red button, but that would also take me away from whatever menu or application I was at, so I'd prefer not to do that. Also, I don't want to change to connectivity settings per se, (as seen in, for example, this topic: [URL]). Rather, is there any way to disable just the message?

Jul 21, 2010Just wondering if your bold drops calls as frequently as mine does. it seems that sometimes the phone decides to act up and gives me a 'call failed' message whenever i try to make a phone call. I always check how many bars i have and its usually at 4 or 5. sometimes a battery pull fixes this, but other times, the problem is persistent. my old bold 9000 had the same problem, so i'm not sure if it's at&t or blackberries in general.

1) I am unable to work out how to bluetooth mp3 files to another mobile. Ok with videos and pictures as option is there but nothing for mp3's.
2) Can't pair the phone with car kit. I have the password which is the same as previous one but when pairing n900 I get an error message saying 'authentication failed'.

Mar 10, 2010I've recently bought a Nokia 5800 xm and have been able to connect it to my home internet using the wlan wifi.
I can only use the wifi if i go to settings>connectivity>wlan. If i go straight to internet, it tries to connect to t-mobile internet. This also happens when trying to use applications such as bbc iplayer and the ovi store.
Is there a way of setting the wifi connection as the default connection? If not, is there a way of setting up my applications so they connect using wifi?
Nokia :: 5800 Wrong My Location When Using Ovi Maps
Aug 28, 2010I recently bought Nokia 5800XM and I have small problem. When I try to use Ovi maps and select My location it points me out to some place in London. First of all I thought its a problem with the GPS so I installed Google maps to check. The result was - Google maps application properly found my exact location(Sofia, Bulgaria, even the street was correct).Then I tried to remove all the maps and voice guidance files from my phone and installed ONLY the Bulgaria map and Bulgarian voice guidance file. However when I selected "My location" the GB(London) map was downloaded and the again I was pointed to some random location in London...
My phone software is updated to 50.0.005 and my Ovi Maps version is 3.04(updated today). Only Assisted GPS and Integrated GPS are enabled in App>Location>Positioning>Positioning Methods. I use the WAP services(HSDPA) provided by my operator(Mtel BG) to connect to internet.Is this some kind of hardware problem(in other words should I return my phone to the vendor) ? Or Ovi Maps are still in beta(or alpha) stage and can't be used for proper navigation ?

May 19, 2012I just bought my iphon last night & tried doing it`s first update this morning. I got an error message that the update failed & now my iphone only shows a pic of a usb cable with an arrow pointing to the itunes logo.I already tried holding down the on off buton & the home button like the instructions say. Problem is that when the instructions say I should be at the part where itunes is again recognizing my iphone, my itune is not recognizing my iphone. So I am stuck. I follow the instrustions, but the resluts are different, so I can`t continue to the next step. Very frustrated, as the nearest Apple store is over an hour`s drive away.

The first thing i did was to test the BT Connection to the BT speakerphone in an Opel Astra.Worthwhile the functions are different between the Omnia and the Lumia. The connection works. But with the Lumia I had no network operator display, no signal strength and can not even call from the car. How can that be for the same operating system? Unfortunately, this point is a big reason for a return of the phone.

Jan 7, 2010I've had my 5800 for 4mnths and all was working fine then i tried to put sum music on my fone using the usb like i had done previously. this time however the fone would not show as being connected in media transfer mode so i could not use the ovi player to transfer files Ive tried restoring factory settings and updating various thing but nothing has worked. I have found out that i am able to connect via usb for mass storage thou which i dont understand. i hope sumbody out there can help.
