Every day I get this message at the top of the screen stating:
"CONTACTS BACKUP" - network connection failed.
When I click it to get rid, it appears again the next day ..... I've been into the Contacts Menu and looked at Import/Export and More/Settings but I don't really know what to cancel or untick.
Ever since the last firmware update my Galaxy S2 keeps deciding to tell me that I am connected to my wifi network at home. It's extremely annoying because I could be in the middle of a game and this message appears. How I can stop it from being displayed??

If I click this, I get a popup window says "Connecting to Server" but after few seconds it says "Connection failed".

I tried to check updates to my Phone.Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update -> Update (Check for Updates)When i do this immediately i get a pop-up notifying "Connecting to server ..." Later after few seconds im getting another pop-up saying "Connection failed"I have a Samsung account and my SocialHub works perfectly fine.Anybody facing this issue? Any idea about how to resolve this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Samsung GS2 runnig on 2.3.4 has developed a problem. It keeps loosing Wifi connection at home. It connects then disconnects. It is becoming frustrating and annoying. I have uninstalled all apps and still no solution. I know others on here have had similar problems has a solution been found. I have switched the Wifi sleep to never. I have installed wifi fix which resolves it temporarily but then the connection falls off.

I do use Google mail and calendar on WP7 for my email and appointments, are my contacts and numbers saved through Google?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.

I've just got a new SGS2. I've paired it with a VW Passat from 2011. Everything is working fine except transferring the contact list, only around half of the contacts get transferred -- 125 of 205. I can't find out why some contacts get transferred and others don't. Before I had a Palm Pre 2 and it worked just fine... all contacts would transfer perfectly.
I've unpair the connection several times in the Bluetooth settings, delete the connection in the car and pair again but didn't solve the problem. I've also update some of the key contacts that don't get synced, forced a reload of the contact list in the car menu but nothing works.
I just bought this phone a few days ago. I am very excited and start playing with the camera. after a few shots and a few mode change, the phone freeze and restart. then i open the camera app again it shows only black screen and a camera failed message
i tried using other camera app but it's no use. the phone has no warranty in my country so i could not have a replacement.
been to the samsung service center also but still no luck.
I seem to have a problem with duplicate contacts appearing ONLY on my text message screen when I go into the recipient menu. The duplicate contacts DO NOT appear in my contacts screen.
I have:-
Disabled contacts from phone.
Disabled contacts from Google
Enabled contacts from slim card only.
When I go to text message > add a recipient. I get a list of duplicated contacts?
just got a samsung galaxy sII yesterday after updating from a htc incredible s..(which i found to be incredibily s**t). so far the samsung seems to be a nice phone. easy to use and very fast. theres only one thing thats causing me a bit of frustration, and thats that i cant seem to make my contacts appear with their profil pics in my message inbox next to their conversation threads. they all appear with the default silhouette. i've synced my facebook contacts with my phone contacts and done it both through the facebook app and the social hubb app. my background data and auto sync are activated aswell. i've tried using an app called syncmypix and that didn't work either. when a contact calls me their picture comes up, but im my messages their pics dont appear. i just got off the phone with a samsung representative and they told me i had to merge my contacts with my google account. so i did but this still didnt work, and then they told me its probably a problem with my network provider, which i think was just an attempt by them to get rid of me

View 15 Replies View RelatedThe iTunes data on the computer my iPhone was firstly connected and configurated with has been deleted. I was looking for an opportunity to update my iPhone to the newest iOS software (since it was on 5.0) without erasing all the data saved on my mobile. But that time I did not know that all data will be erased when upgrading a device a complete version (like from 3.0 to 4.0 or 4.0 to 5.0) and then it happened. Several hundred business contacts of mine has been erased and cannot be reset. All functions except the phone/message contacts are unimportant now. MOST IMPORTANT: I connected my iPhone with a new MacBook, updated iTunes to 10.6.3 (current version) and synced my mobile with it. Data will be erased if updating on an unknown computer (for iOS device) where no data which are on my iPhone are saved. Unfortunately, the instructions at iTunes Support were helpless because during the important backup for resetting all datas has been interrupted with the following window: Backup not possible , There are not enough space on the iPhone left to finish the backup.
It has never continued and since then all data has been erased. I would be incredibly glad if anybody could give me at least a tip to do something.

I have a samsung galaxy s2 with android 4.0.4 and recently I started getting the message (sim card full) but I have no contacts nor messages stored in the sim card.I went to vodafone (Portugal) and they gave me a new 4G sim card as they are replacing all 3G cards.

The progress bar remained at 0% for more than 40 minutes and I became suspicious that it was not working. I tried interrupting with the cancel button and that didn't work, so the only way was to remove the cable (yes there were warnings not to do it... still I assumed that this scenario would have been foreseen). Kies woke up with the interruption and asked if I wanted to do an emergency firmware recovery, I said yes and proceeded with it. It gave me some instructions to switch off the phone, replace battery, and remove the cable. I switched the phone off and on again and there appeared a symbol representing the loss of connection to the PC, so I re-connected. The recovery started fine, but half way through it, it failed due to a problem on the phone. Since then the phone is dead. It won't start anymore.
