Apr 12, 2012I have a Torch 9810. Until a week or so ago, had no problems with my home wifi connection until suddenly it dropped the network. There have been no changes whatsoever in the wifi. I tried several times the solutions posted on various forums. Today I even reset to the manufacturer's setting - nothing.

Feb 1, 2011new Torch is unable to associate with my work wifi network when it uses WEP password. If I change wifi network to WPA password, then it works (But I cannot change it because the network is unsing WDS and it isn't compatible with WPA).
My old BB Pearl 8120 works fine with same network using WEP password. Therefore, what's happenign with Torch wifi?. Is there any wifi upgrade for Torch? For your information, the wifi router is an SMC Barricade-N (SMCWBR14-N)
I have tried almost everything. I'm desesperate. Torch is giving connections problems also with my wifi home network and also with my bluetooth handfree car system. If there isn't a solution soon I will have to change it for another mobile.

Jul 6, 2011I have a new Blackberry Torch. I am trying to get it to connect with my home router. My last Torch connected just fine, so I know it is possible. Also I have four other computers that are connected over this wi-fi network.I go to the "Manage Connections" section and put in the SSID as well as the WEP code. It tries to find it and then just comes back with "Failed to Connect to the Network" with no other reason or information. I got the 10-digit WEP code by logging in to my router and looking up the code on the Wireless Secuirty page. This is also the WEP code my other four computers are using, so I believe that is not the problem.

Jul 21, 2010Just wondering if your bold drops calls as frequently as mine does. it seems that sometimes the phone decides to act up and gives me a 'call failed' message whenever i try to make a phone call. I always check how many bars i have and its usually at 4 or 5. sometimes a battery pull fixes this, but other times, the problem is persistent. my old bold 9000 had the same problem, so i'm not sure if it's at&t or blackberries in general.

I have set up the details including the SSID and key/password but each time I try to connect it staes "Failed to associate with the Network".Vodaphone say it is a fault with the phone or my home internet provider but my hubby has a Blackberry and has no problem connecting his to our home internet. I have specifically got this phone for my teenage daughter who uses BBM and the internet mainly whilst in the house and as she can only use the inbuilt Vodaphone 250mb data allowance she will hit her limit in next to no time. Really need the phone to connect to the house internet.Have tried turning off, taking battery and sim out and starting up again but it doesnt help.

But last night, we bought a new Wireless Router and things started to get really frustrating. So, I went back to using the old Wireless Router and it showed me that same error. I have had our adminstrator reset the router and the modem. I have also tried taking the the battery out of my Blackberry for an extended period of time, and I have also tried to manually connect to the network and i still get the same error. If it helps i am in currently deployed and i dont have service with verizon i was just using my wifi connection.

But I change it to new sim card and purchase the BB unlimited social service, I can connect to yahoo messenger, facebook, blackberry messenger same as the previous one but I cannot connect to wifi at home, I try manually as well. So, today, and purely for research purposes went to McDonalds for lunch and tried their Wifi (had a quarter pounder with cheese with sprite for those interested) and just like back at home, connects first time then drops then "failed to associate with network".I am on Orange with the Blackberry unlimited internet add on and everything worked fine with my pearl.Have tried Orange tech but , well the less said the better there.

Aug 2, 2011After a short time on an Android device (which I quickly got rid of) I am now back on a BlackBerry. I used to have a Bold, now I have a Torch.Now the problem is the following: on the Bold I had one BES email (I am the IT Manager of my company) and three BIS accounts (private mails).I moved the BES account on the Torch, no problem, but the three BIS accounts do not move for some reason.
I go to Setup=>Email accounts and the device reports correctly that "A new BlackBerry device has been detected. you mustmove email account(s) to resume email delivery to your BlackBerry device. Email delivery to your old device has been stopped."Following the list of three email accounts I want on the Torch.
I click "Move" and for any single email I have a screen that says "Device change successful. Validate your email account"I type email password for each account, click "continue", receive the message "Your password has been successfully validated.", click OK and exit setup and nothing happens.I still have the BES account but there is no trace of the three BIS accounts.I go back to Setup and the procedure starts again from the beginning.I am on Vodafone UK and the three email accounts are on Apple MobileMe (@me.com)

Mar 31, 2012Purchase new sim in Germany but cannot verify Blackberry ID..when attempted to log in with the correct ID Error message read "Blackberry ID servise is temporary unavailable.
Further findings show that my phone not connected to Blackberry Enterprise Server.
Every other connections...i.e Wi fi and other connected.

Jul 6, 2012I basically have two Apple ids and the reason I have two is that one is very old, dating back to 2003 and this one was used with my .Mac account and currently used with iCloud. My second id is my linkied to my iTunes account. They were two independent accounts until iMessage came along and when I initially used my iCloud account for this service and then my iTunes account.
Now, I have iMessage on my iPhone that seems to run through an infinate loop of turn on iMessage, waiting for activation, "An error occurred", "Enter Apple ID", sign in, next, wait, wait, wait, wait and then back to "Enter Apple ID" and this happens when using either id.
I might also add that I cannot seem to download anything from iTunes.
