Samsung Galaxy S II :: Keeps Loosing WiFi Connection With Home Network

Oct 27, 2011

My Samsung GS2 runnig on 2.3.4 has developed a problem. It keeps loosing Wifi connection at home. It connects then disconnects. It is becoming frustrating and annoying. I have uninstalled all apps and still no solution. I know others on here have had similar problems has a solution been found. I have switched the Wifi sleep to never. I have installed wifi fix which resolves it temporarily but then the connection falls off.

The phone says that I have connected, but complains that I have no network connection at those times.

Nokia :: 5800 Cant Establish Connection With WPA-protected Home Ad-Hoc Network

Jun 22, 2010

My Nokia 5800 can't establish connection with WPA-protected home Ad-Hoc network.

I created such network based on my laptop wireless adapter and configured a WPA2-encryption for it. Then I found this network available via Nokia 5800 wlan-menu and tried to connect - this caused an error "System failure: function is not supported". So that Nokia smartphones support only open and wep-encrypted Ad-Hoc networks. WPA/WPA2 is enabled only for infrastructure mode. (But my laptop wireless adapter only supports managed mode, ad-hoc and monitor mode, so I can use only ad-hoc mode to set up home access-point. And I am sure I should use only WPA encryption for it, because WEP is vulnerable)

Maybe I can edit some configuration file in my Nokia device to enable WPA-encryption for Ad-Hoc?

If Nokia can enable this function in later versions of firmware?

I also will be very grateful if you recommend some symbian-applications which can enlarge wlan-functionality in my phone.

Samsung Galaxy S II :: "No Connection" On Wifi?

Jul 31, 2012

Often when I try to connect through an app (google play, fb etc) the phone won't seem to recognise any connection. It just tries to load for ages and then says "No connection" and shows me a retry button which doesn't work either. This happens even when I'm sitting right next to my router and the status bar indicator shows full wi fi reception. Sometimes swtiching wifi off and on again a few times seems to sort it out, but mostly not. Other times it works fine and I'm not doing anything noticeably different.I know I'm clutching at straws here but Any idea what the problem could be or how I could diagnose the cause?

When I press on it the only options are Details and Delete the AP. I can't force the phone to connect to a specific AP, which would be nice.If I turn the phone off and on again, it finds the Wifi and connects to it just fine. Xperia X10 :: It Won't Connect WiFi To Home Network

Aug 20, 2010

I still have to wait for full-functionality on my X10 when the service provider gets updated to a new contract in a few weeks. However, I cant get it to connect to my home wi-fi network. It recognises the network and remembers it. The Network Key is good. Ive tried both with and without 'data traffic enabled', and of course the phones Wi-Fi is turned on- Ive tried that both through the main screen and through the Wi-Fi Settings screen.I got a shock bill last week because the phone was using dial-up connection instead of Wi-Fi without me realising it!Also, how can I ensure it chooses unsecured or 'FreeZones' when on the move over dial-up? I want to be able to use the Navigation function, but worry about the phone being connected too much, even with the internet bundle I am subscribing to.

HTC Incredible S :: It Is Not Detecting Wifi In Home Network

I've recently bought a HTC Incredible S from my service provider and was very anxious to test it out. However, after the 8 hours of charging, I turned on my new phone expecting to connect to my home network and start setting up my phone. Problem is, I can't seem to detect my home network. My laptop, my brother's laptop, my ipod touch, my family member's phones are all able to detect and surf with my home wireless network without any problems so why is it the Incredible S can't even detect the network? I am able to detect wireless networks from the units all around me, unfortunately they're all locked so i'm unable to test if connecting was possible but I'm unable to detect my own.
