My iPhone 4s keeps switching between wifi and 3G while I'm on my home network. Also I am not out of range, I'm within 15 feet of the router. Any suggestions would be great. I've done resets on both my device and router, still doing the same thing. I'm curious to know if any else is experiencing the same problem on there 4s's.

My home network using a password. When I come into the house, my iPhone3 used to connect automatically. I had a problem with my network and had to reset it. Now, when my iPhone goes to sleep, I lose the connection to my WiFi and have to re-enter my password.

I can not connect my new iPhone 4S to my home WiFi network, whereas other networks are OK. A possbile explanation - the password contains 26 characters, and I haven't tracked don't how to change that password.

We have two iPhones at home that, all of a sudden, cannot connect to the home wifi network. I rebooted the cable modem and was then able to see and connect to the network with both iPhones and an iPad, but, a few minutes later, was unable to join the network. I have an iMac and a Thinkpad laptop that both connect fine and stay connected. I've tried rebooting the iPhones and forgetting the network, but the problem keeps coming back. I called Comcast to suggest they "change the channel" on their wireless gateway, but they couldn't do it.

I currently have the blackberry bold 9700 for tmobile.I can connect to my home network but i cant use apps such as the facebook app or the IM+ app or any social networking apps of that sort.Whenever i do try, it says you need a mobile carrier internet connection or a wifi connection. The Network Key is good. However, after the 8 hours of charging, I turned on my new phone expecting to connect to my home network and start setting up my phone. Problem is, I can't seem to detect my home network. My laptop, my brother's laptop, my ipod touch, my family member's phones are all able to detect and surf with my home wireless network without any problems so why is it the Incredible S can't even detect the network? I am able to detect wireless networks from the units all around me, unfortunately they're all locked so i'm unable to test if connecting was possible but I'm unable to detect my own.

I am having problems connecting to my home network. The phones wifi turns on fine, gets an IP address and looks fine. However, the wifi and phone strength meters grey out and there is no connectivity to the internet on the phone. The wifi network is WPA protected.The phone worked fine on a different, unprotected, network I found up the street.I have a cliq that works fine on my network.I have tried powering off and powering off in airplane mode, neither of which make a difference.

My phone was taking way too long to respond, so I decided to hold the power button until the device shut off, and I held the power button again to turn it back on. (duh) As soon as it turned back on, I was no longer able to connect to my home WIFI. So now whenever I try to connect to our home WiFi, I get an "authentication error" and the WiFi network status just comes up as 'saved" instead of "connected". After browsing the infinite amount of discussions regarding this issue, I realized this is not an isolated issue with my hardware. Monday, I attempted a connect to my "work" wifi network, and had absolutly no problems all day long. I determined that the only difference between wifi networks relating to my iphone was the wireless security setting.My home wifi was originally setup as WEP, my work wifi is currently setup as WPA2.Tuesday, I accessed my wifi router settings (Linksys wrt54g)> udpated wireless security settings from WEP to WPA2.Problem solved.Since I was not able to track down any easy solutions to this problem within all of the ongoing discussions, I wanted to share this info.

I have a 3Gs model that after doing the update to IOS 5 and later versions, now just randomly switches from 3G to Edge network whenever I'm using random applications. It'll just shut off the 3G network, go without coverage, and then kick back into Edge network. After thinking about it for a couple of minutes, then the phone will randomly switch back to 3G.
Why is it that the new IOS 5 causes our 3G phones to run like a pile of fail? I find that I have to shut my phone off every other day to kill background applications to ensure that the processor doesn't get jammed up.
