My home network using a password. When I come into the house, my iPhone3 used to connect automatically. I had a problem with my network and had to reset it. Now, when my iPhone goes to sleep, I lose the connection to my WiFi and have to re-enter my password.

My Curve 8520 has my home wireless connection but it doesn't hold the connection for more than a minute at a time. Is there anything I can do? It's fine when the little WiFi words light up in the top right of the screen, but then it goes grey and is disconnected.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated both Iphone 4's to 5.1.1. and now whether related or not both phones are wonky dropping WIFI in the house. It comes on and off when it pleases. I looked at the time capsule for WIFI settings and all seems fine. My Ipad2 works fine and AppleTV gen2 works fine just both Iphones. My network shows up in the WIFI list and when I touch to log in it says network is unavailable.

I am having constant problems with wifi connections dropping in and out whilst at home. It basically will display very good signal then all of a sudden drop out completely and reconnect. This happens without me moving or changing my hand position, sometimes whilst browsing web or downloading and sometimes whilst not using internet at all. It can happen as often as every few seconds or it may go 5-10 minutes before it starts. No other device I own has these problems, including my Motorola Atrix. I have spent hours changing settings in the modem (2.4g only) but nothing makes ANY difference. This is definitely a phone related problem (bug, hardware etc).

We have two iPhones at home that, all of a sudden, cannot connect to the home wifi network. I rebooted the cable modem and was then able to see and connect to the network with both iPhones and an iPad, but, a few minutes later, was unable to join the network. I have an iMac and a Thinkpad laptop that both connect fine and stay connected. I've tried rebooting the iPhones and forgetting the network, but the problem keeps coming back. I called Comcast to suggest they "change the channel" on their wireless gateway, but they couldn't do it.

However, after the 8 hours of charging, I turned on my new phone expecting to connect to my home network and start setting up my phone. Problem is, I can't seem to detect my home network. My laptop, my brother's laptop, my ipod touch, my family member's phones are all able to detect and surf with my home wireless network without any problems so why is it the Incredible S can't even detect the network? I am able to detect wireless networks from the units all around me, unfortunately they're all locked so i'm unable to test if connecting was possible but I'm unable to detect my own.

I am having problems connecting to my home network. The phones wifi turns on fine, gets an IP address and looks fine. However, the wifi and phone strength meters grey out and there is no connectivity to the internet on the phone. The wifi network is WPA protected.The phone worked fine on a different, unprotected, network I found up the street.I have a cliq that works fine on my network.I have tried powering off and powering off in airplane mode, neither of which make a difference.

I updated my iPhone 4s to the new iOS 5.1.1 Sunday morning and ever since then I am having problems. My network/ 3g keeps dropping out, everytime i go to use my phone, its says "seraching". Also my battery is not lasting very long at all. I turned it off & on, did a reset & still nothing. Also my wifi is playing up, at my parent's place it said i was unable to connect to their wifi, my partner who has a iPhone 4 & has not updated connected easily. At home, especially after i resetted I have to type in my wifi password everytime I want to use internet, it does not automatically connect like it did in the past.

I have uninstalled all apps and still no solution. I know others on here have had similar problems has a solution been found. I have switched the Wifi sleep to never. I have installed wifi fix which resolves it temporarily but then the connection falls off.
