I updated both Iphone 4's to 5.1.1. and now whether related or not both phones are wonky dropping WIFI in the house. It comes on and off when it pleases. I looked at the time capsule for WIFI settings and all seems fine. My Ipad2 works fine and AppleTV gen2 works fine just both Iphones. My network shows up in the WIFI list and when I touch to log in it says network is unavailable.

I updated my iPhone 4s to the new iOS 5.1.1 Sunday morning and ever since then I am having problems. My network/ 3g keeps dropping out, everytime i go to use my phone, its says "seraching". Also my battery is not lasting very long at all. I turned it off & on, did a reset & still nothing. Also my wifi is playing up, at my parent's place it said i was unable to connect to their wifi, my partner who has a iPhone 4 & has not updated connected easily. At home, especially after i resetted I have to type in my wifi password everytime I want to use internet, it does not automatically connect like it did in the past.

I'm currently experiencing some problems with my wifi on my xperia z2 and every 2 or 3 seconds my wifi keeps droping out and connecting to the mobile network and i've tried restarting my handset and seems fine for like half hour then it goes back to dropping out now would it be something to do with my software as i'm currently on 5.0.2 or is it best i do a factory reset as i've not done one it like 8 months from when i first got my phone..

Since the 8.1 update hit my 1520 completely drops my home WiFi and I have to find and type the code back in every few days. An one else having this problem and a fix or how do I go back to 8.0 and I also miss the speech recognition on the 8.0 version.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave noticed that my Photon can't seem to hold a WIFI connection. I can be sitting right next to my router, and it will drop the connection and start scanning again. Have noticed the same thing with other wifi connections at work. Also the WIFI connection sometimes goes dormant/gray and won't wake up on its own. The only solution is to turn the wifi connection off/on, or to cycle the power on the router. Not sure if its a setting that kills the connection after a period of inactivity, have looked in the settings but can't seem to find anything. I have had this problem pre and post update, but am frustrated as I've just passed my 30 days to return the phone easily if something is wrong with the phone.

I had updated my phone a while back and the wifi has been hit or miss ever since but still could connect enough not to do anything about it.  Don't know why but since my husband updated his phone and connected it to the iTunes account we share none of us can connect to wifi at all. (his will connect but then go back to 3G very quickly). I've tried resetting network settings but it doesn't work. I don't get the option to "forget network".Â

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe last few nights I've been annoyed to wake up to error message on my D3 about Backup Assistant not being able to connect because the network is unavailable. I have no idea what that error statement is all about, but the thing that made me really angry is that there is no reason for Backup Assistant to be running at all. With the Droid 3, all my contacts are already backed up via the exchange server and google. I have no use for this bit of VZW bloatware, which was apparently initialized by folk at the VZW store who activated my phone.
To make matters worse, there is no option on the Droid for turning off Backup Assistant. It lets you change the time it runs, but there is no easy option to tell it not to run. However, I discovered a work-around today which doesn't involve rooting or anything like that: Go to Settings> Manage Applications> All, click on "Contacts sync" and then "clear default." Backup Assistant will not run again unless you reinitialize it.

i have had my iphone 4 for about 4 5 months as this was a replacement. but now i keep having this issue. i have had it for about a month. i connect to my internet and it works perfectly. surfing the web facebook all works. but soon as i go on to Internet and click on a video every 4 - 5 minutes the wifi signal drops and to get it back i have to ecit to the home screen and wait for a couple of seconds. then i go back onto the video and it happens again. this happens on alot of wifi connections not just my one what could be the issue?

Since yesterday morning now both wifi and 3g have been dropping like mad on my phone--the icon will just disappear and I will have no internet signal at all, and sometimes orange will completely drop out (which is normal because my house gets bad reception in some areas. my iPhone (iOS 4.1) has been running sluggishly, freezing for a couple of seconds after trying to press the home button (from locked), to random freezes on the dashboard etc., most of the time after a couple of seconds it unfroze. The phone was dropped several times (always had a sturdy cover) but always worked fine. About 2 weeks ago it started to get worse, phone kept randomly restarting, loosing service and wifi and then reconnecting again. I scoured the internet for possible clues and in the end ordered a new battery which I installed successfully. Also reset the device as new and installed the latest iOS 6.1.6?. No problem with freezing/being sluggish anymore but the service/reception and wifi keep dropping. Sometimes it is random. Sometimes it happens right after I slide to unlock the phone. The connection can hold from several minutes to an hour or so before dropping to a bar and then no service (wifi disappears as well), after a while it comes back on. I have asked for another replacement battery (in-case this one was faulty) and will see where that will get me. (also when it is charging now it has the occasional random restart, not very often but sometimes)

Calls on my phone drop almost certainly when I'm on 2G network. When on 3G this rarely ( or almost never) happens.
Same sim card works very well in other phones. This is issue is just on 2G network. I do not get 3G network every where so i cannot ignore this issue.
Nokia care unit says this phone might have hardware issue and quoting about same amount of repairs of cost of new phone. They claim this needs to be sent to factory for repairs.( this phone is out of warranty in region where I am using it).
I upgraded my cell from GB 2.3.4 to ICS 4.0.3 (4.1.A.0.562) via Sony PC companion and also tried to repair from SuS. I have 02 problems.
1. Losing Network Signal frequently
2. Losing WiFi Signals
And also is it the latest update as my cell says you have latest software.
I've started playing online games more recently. Very often, while Im in the games, it will say it is searching for the network, or it is doesn't have a network connection.I've switched to WiFi when I can, and still have the issue.I've noticed when I look at he phone now, the 4G symbol is white, then turns blue.seem to remember it always being blue.Does it sound like it's the games having the issue, the games causing the issue, or an issue with the phone?I would prefer to NOT do a hard reset.
