View 1 RepliesMy home network using a password. When I come into the house, my iPhone3 used to connect automatically. I had a problem with my network and had to reset it. Now, when my iPhone goes to sleep, I lose the connection to my WiFi and have to re-enter my password.

My Curve 8520 has my home wireless connection but it doesn't hold the connection for more than a minute at a time. Is there anything I can do? It's fine when the little WiFi words light up in the top right of the screen, but then it goes grey and is disconnected.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the 8.1 update hit my 1520 completely drops my home WiFi and I have to find and type the code back in every few days. An one else having this problem and a fix or how do I go back to 8.0 and I also miss the speech recognition on the 8.0 version.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave just recently bought a Motorola Razr M which is running stock ICS on Telstra in Australia. I am having constant problems with wifi connections dropping in and out whilst at home. It basically will display very good signal then all of a sudden drop out completely and reconnect. This happens without me moving or changing my hand position, sometimes whilst browsing web or downloading and sometimes whilst not using internet at all. It can happen as often as every few seconds or it may go 5-10 minutes before it starts. No other device I own has these problems, including my Motorola Atrix. I have spent hours changing settings in the modem (2.4g only) but nothing makes ANY difference. This is definitely a phone related problem (bug, hardware etc).
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've found my wifi connection at home to be dropping non-stop, and then immediately reconnecting. It's only happening on my S6 edge. Even though my wife's phone (and my laptop) stay connected, I reset the router. Nothing. I also cleared my cache. Smart Network Switch has been off to preserve battery life.
Would rather not factory reset, but will if that's my only option.
Having problem with Lollipop and the WiFi connection getting dropped. Last night I was browsing the web on my S4 and noticed that the WiFi connection kept dropping in an out! Rebooted and did a cache wipe! Seems to be ok now but will wait and see. Still not convinced I shouldn't just flash this thing back to 4.4.2

Ever since I got my Sprint Galaxy S5 phone, it drops it's Wifi connection constantly. I have taken the phone back to Sprint and they assure me that it is fine. However, in the mean time it is still dropping the Wifi and now i am getting charged over usage charges for going over my 1GB limit..

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the three weeks since using my device the motorola contacts software has been losing name to number associations such that following a new contact entry the name associated to the number RANDOMLY breaks meaning I am losing names from my contacts but the number string remains in my call log. This has happened to approximately 20% of new entries. The same process has been followed each time. The number/name can be re-inputted subsequently and the problem does not repeat. No pattern is followed it just happens- its not time dependent either... I'm baffled and losing contacts?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had a Galaxy S6 for about a month now, and for the past two weeks I've been fighting tooth and nail with it to try to fix the issue in the title. I believe (based off what little I've learned from Googling this up) that it's an issue with apps that use push notifications (GCM?) alerts, and includes Facebook messenger, Google Hangouts, Steam chat, TheScore (sports app), and some others. If I'm on my home wi-fi, those alerts MIGHT show up, but 95% likely won't; as soon as I disconnect from my home wifi, I'll get a deluge of alerts that had been 'backed up' and waiting for the chance to be delivered.
This does not happen while on cellular data, and it does not happen on other wi-fi networks from the same ISP.
After Googling the heck out of this, things I have tried include:
* Making sure that the 'keep wi-fi on while asleep' setting is set to always.
* Adding the affected apps to the priority list.
* Having a Samsung employee at Best Buy reinstall the OS. (I think that's what she said she did.)
* Changing my router to a static DNS, pointed at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
* Downloading that DNSet app, though I quickly deleted it both because it didn't seem like it was working, and because I didn't savor the idea of an app sitting in the middle of my data like that.
The handful of other threads I've found with a similar issue have all seemed to devolve down to a single thought: Lollipop (perhaps even specifically Lollipop on Verizon Wireless devices) does not always play well with IPv6 data, though it's entirely possible I've settled on that as the culprit just because it makes me feel better having a specific target in mind.
My router (Netgear C6300) does not seem to have a setting to specifically turn off IPv6 data. Any way to specifically turn off IPv6 usage on a Galaxy S6 without rooting the device?
My S5 won't find my home wifi. It doesn't even come up as an option to select in the wifi networks. Other networks can be found, like my grandparents wifi and my neighbours however I can't find my own. Even when I manually add the network using our SSID and network password it just says that the connection is "not in range".
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust bought a new Samsung S5 and I'm unable to connect to FB via the wif connection at home. We have a newer Linksys router and everything else in the house works fine (laptops, PC's, Kindle, PlayStation). Is there a setting somewhere on the phone or the router that is keeping me from connecting?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Samsung GS2 runnig on 2.3.4 has developed a problem. It keeps loosing Wifi connection at home. It connects then disconnects. It is becoming frustrating and annoying. I have uninstalled all apps and still no solution. I know others on here have had similar problems has a solution been found. I have switched the Wifi sleep to never. I have installed wifi fix which resolves it temporarily but then the connection falls off.

View 9 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, a error keeps popping up every time I connect to my home wifi. The phone connects perfectly fine and it says it is connected, but whenever I attempt to use the internet nothing will load at all. The wifi bars are there and are full, but nothing works. In wifi settings it says it is connected. On all of the other desktops, laptops, and mobile devices in the house the same wifi works perfectly fine. So, I have come to the conclusion that it must be something having to do with the phone.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9900 and my carrier is Rogers. The phone is about 6 months old. I use wifi and don't have a data plan, but my wifi keeps dropping. It is notjust at my house, but anywhere I access a wifi signal. It will drop the signal, pick it up again and continue to drop it. I have tried doing a battery pull but that did not work. My wife's BB Curve is having no problems, nor is my Playbook.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got the xperia z5 for Christmas and noticed that the WiFi was almost constantly dropping during use. I brought the phone back and got a replacement but it occurs with the new one too as it seems its a well known problem.
Basically, my wifi just drops during use and it requires me to turn wifi off and back on again so it will reconnect. I could easily do this 5 times within a couple of minutes, other times it will barely happen.

I'm from Canada and I have the Xoom with Wifi only. I was able to connect to my home wifi network without problem and my signal strengh is like 75% so pretty good but when playing with the device (going on web, searching apps in the market, check weather, etc....anything that need to use my wifi to get to Internet, it happen often that even if I'm still connected, that it can't get to Internet anymore. At the begenning I was using the reboot option to fix this and then I saw that I can use the airplaone mode on and then off to drop connection and recreate it and then I just have to refresh the web page I am and it's working again. It can happen at ± 5 mins of Internet use.
I bring my xoom to my job and tested it and signal strengh is up the roof (router at my desk!), Internet is 10meg fiber and I get the same issue. I was gessing someone already reported this issue but I don't see it. Is it something known, what can I do to resolve this and is there a fix comming for that?
