WiFi keeps dropping and reconnecting no other issues in the house rebooted modem called my provider...
Galaxy S5 running 4.4.1
Ever since I got my Sprint Galaxy S5 phone, it drops it's Wifi connection constantly. I have taken the phone back to Sprint and they assure me that it is fine. However, in the mean time it is still dropping the Wifi and now i am getting charged over usage charges for going over my 1GB limit..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've found my wifi connection at home to be dropping non-stop, and then immediately reconnecting. It's only happening on my S6 edge. Even though my wife's phone (and my laptop) stay connected, I reset the router. Nothing. I also cleared my cache. Smart Network Switch has been off to preserve battery life.
Would rather not factory reset, but will if that's my only option.
Having problem with Lollipop and the WiFi connection getting dropped. Last night I was browsing the web on my S4 and noticed that the WiFi connection kept dropping in an out! Rebooted and did a cache wipe! Seems to be ok now but will wait and see. Still not convinced I shouldn't just flash this thing back to 4.4.2

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, my wifi keeps switching between off and on every... 5-10 seconds. No recent downloads/changes, running KK 4.4.2 ....
View 5 Replies View RelatedI "think" this is the trigger. When I'm on a call my phone will drop the connection to the car handsfree link and revert to the phone (you can still see the bluetooth icon lit) whenever I receive a notification for anything. If it's a text, email, or whatever the call will suddenly cut out go to the phone and then 10 seconds later or so reconnect to the car stereo.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded a marine GPS and I want to use it with Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The GPS provider has provided me with a link for a program that would enable me to receive the GPS locator information from my PC rather than directly from the satellites. But it is for a Bluetooth connections, which I don't have on my PC. Is it possible to use the USB connection that came with the phone to receive the information from my computer?
I have a Galaxy S6 T-Mobile version that I have had for about 2 weeks now. So far I have been pretty happy with it, specially as I came from an iPhone 5s. However I am having an issue that is really annoying.
I have a fitbit charger hr tracker connected to the phone. When I use the activity tracker function of the fitbit app I am unable to unlock the phone at all. The screen stutters and takes a while to fully load when pressing the button and the majority of the time it will fade out, not even giving me the ability to use a fingerprint to unlock or to swipe if the smart unlock is on.
As this point, I am not sure if this is caused by the fitbit app or if it is the GPS that does it. With the exception of the rare time it unlocks for me, I need to restart the phone each time.
I went ahead and cleared both caches, after looking up how to do it. Unfortunately it does not appear to have worked at all. I am seeing the same symptoms. I noticed a further symptom as well. I started playing music during a walk and the bluetoothplayback was periodically interrupted. A stutter of some sort.
I will next be ruling out BT issues using wired, as I have never had issues with this headset before I think it is related.
The other thing I noticed was that I was able to put it into airplane mode and while still stuttering severely, I was able to unlock the phone though with much hesitation. My next step will also to be trying this same task without the GPS on, seeing if that makes a difference.
Battery draining faster today. How can I check what apps are running on my Samsung Galaxy S5?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWell the day after I got my 5.0 update on my s5. I noticed that my gallery was running. (according to the task bar), so I stopped it. I go back on it a few seconds later and it is running again. How do I stop this!!!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my S5 today, upgraded from my three and half year old S2 Skyrocket, However, it seems to have some weird default "unlock effect" where these stupid bubbles of colors appear wherever you touch or swipe on the lockscreen. I've searched around for how to get rid of it, but everything I've found says go to the Lock Screen settings menu and change the "unlock effect." But the lock screen settings menu on my phone doesn't have that option. I tried searching in the settings for "unlock effect" and it comes up with a result, but when I click it, it just takes me to the lock screen settings--which as I said has no option for unlock effects.Did they remove the ability to change/remove the lockscreen effect in 5.0 or am I just completely missing something?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9900 and my carrier is Rogers. The phone is about 6 months old. I use wifi and don't have a data plan, but my wifi keeps dropping. It is notjust at my house, but anywhere I access a wifi signal. It will drop the signal, pick it up again and continue to drop it. I have tried doing a battery pull but that did not work. My wife's BB Curve is having no problems, nor is my Playbook.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my HTC One a few hours ago (international version) and I am having issues with WiFi. Everything works fine until I lock the device. Upon waking my phone, WiFi connection is lost, reconnects, and then although the connection shows up on the status bar, the internet does not work.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got the xperia z5 for Christmas and noticed that the WiFi was almost constantly dropping during use. I brought the phone back and got a replacement but it occurs with the new one too as it seems its a well known problem.
Basically, my wifi just drops during use and it requires me to turn wifi off and back on again so it will reconnect. I could easily do this 5 times within a couple of minutes, other times it will barely happen.
My new Lumia 950xl keeps dropping my wifi connection. I have numerous devices on the same wifi network, including an iPad and none of them have the same issues.

I'm from Canada and I have the Xoom with Wifi only. I was able to connect to my home wifi network without problem and my signal strengh is like 75% so pretty good but when playing with the device (going on web, searching apps in the market, check weather, etc....anything that need to use my wifi to get to Internet, it happen often that even if I'm still connected, that it can't get to Internet anymore. At the begenning I was using the reboot option to fix this and then I saw that I can use the airplaone mode on and then off to drop connection and recreate it and then I just have to refresh the web page I am and it's working again. It can happen at ± 5 mins of Internet use.
I bring my xoom to my job and tested it and signal strengh is up the roof (router at my desk!), Internet is 10meg fiber and I get the same issue. I was gessing someone already reported this issue but I don't see it. Is it something known, what can I do to resolve this and is there a fix comming for that?
I can be browsing the internet on my phone, i put the phone down for a while then when i try to go back on the net it wont work. I have to disable the wifi connection then reconnect for the phone to connect to the internet. This happens everytime i try to go on the net. Every other device in the house ie phones laptops etc works fine with no connection problems.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having a strange issue when using both Bluetooth and Wifi simultaneously.
This happens pretty regularly when using the Spotify app whilst having the phone audio connected to a Bluetooth speaker. The pairing process works without issue. However, as soon as I begin searching the app for music, and select a track for playing, the WiFi connection drops. Sometimes It eventually reconnects, other times I have to go back to settings and manually select the network once again.
During the connection drop, I can still see the Wifi network and all my other devices still remain connected. Rebooting the doesnt fix it, nor does disabling/enabling the wifi. Its rendering the phone useless for music streaming!
Has anyone's iPhone 4S and iPad 2 experience the same problem after the iOS 5.1 update? When the device is left (screen) on, not on standby mode.
Both my iOS devices seem not able to lock on to my home wifi network (AirPorts), after a while they would drop out and on screen shows the 3G icon, I did not have this problem prior to 5.1 update.
Yes I have tried: Forget Network - and re-log in againReset all Network settingsTurn device on and offShut down and turn on home AirPort network
I really do not know what else to do. But if I put the device to sleep, i.e. I always have my iPad 2 on standby, when I turn it on, the wifi would be there.

Since yesterday morning now both wifi and 3g have been dropping like mad on my phone--the icon will just disappear and I will have no internet signal at all, and sometimes orange will completely drop out (which is normal because my house gets bad reception in some areas. Sometimes the circle appears and I can get a slow connection for a moment before everything completely drops. The phone is only 4 months old and hasn't been dropped at all. I've tried the drain battery option and the airplane also one, but nothing is working at all.
