View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new Galaxy s2 is having trouble connecting to my routers Wifi, a netgear DG834GUv5. I can get it to connect fine if I disable the routers security entirely, but I would not want to keep that up at all. I would like to be able to connect at home. I've been looking up things on the internet for days now, and am getting desperate.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am able to connect and get an IP address from the router. But unable to do anything. At times it even reboots the router. I have tried various settings on the router and none seem to work.At work, I seem to have no issues connecting up to Wi Fi. Just seems to be with my netgear router.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have this inconvenience with my wi-fi on my mobile. I just got it brand new the other day and have been happy with it. But it seems my wi-fi is always connected with my home router, even if i disconnect it, it reconnects a minute later. Please could someone post a solution, i've been trying to find this all over the net.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAll i see in the router status under attached devices is:140:FC:89:21:1A:73the 1st -- is supposedly the device name, the second -- is supposedly the IP....neither ever show up and the xoom constantly loses data connection even though it says its connected.fortunately for me, i'm only stuck with this pile of junk 2 more days but it seems like a major issue to me, probably in netgears firmware.

My WiFi signal umbrella icon on the upper left corner keeps floating up and down and left and right. Every time I switch to a different page the connecting issue seems to repeat itself. How do I connect on a secure signal so my iPhone can function properly?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got my S2 now for maybe 2 weeks now and only now I noticed that my Wifi hotspot function is not working. I tried that with 2 different SIM's (in different countries) with the same result. Tethering via USB works fine. I can switch on the wifi hotspot (open or secured) and I can even connect to it. On my Win7 machine I have a connection for a few moments, after that I lose connection and at the end I lose connection to the wifi hotspot.
On my blackberry I can connect the first time. That connection stays open for maybe a minute. After that it automatically disconnects and I cant connect anymore until i restart the hotspot. When I switch off the hotspot it takes a long time and it ends with error (the status under wifi hotspot). If I just enable hotspot and disable it again it is without errors. So this seems only to happen when a client actually connects... I tried already a factory reset and read somewhere to enable bluetooth before enabling the hotspot, but the problem stays the same ...
When I leave home and return, I have to manually connect back to my home wifi. From what I remember, it used to do that all by itself and connect with any other network that I've connected to in the past automatically. It no longer does that. I'm not finding any answers on Google that work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOK, this might sound like a silly Q, but when I connect my BB 9700 to my home broadband router via wi-fi, are all browsing data downloads automatically directed via the wi-fi, rather than via my carrier's network, or is there a setting somewhere that I need to change?
View 2 Replies View Relatedi changed my modem router yesterday, did all the settings. all my devises can join my wi-fi but my iphone 5s cant. it recognizes the network, tries to join it, but cant join it.
Turned my iphone on and off two times, Turned my router on and off several times, reset my network setting on the iphone, changed the channel on the router twice, pressed "forget this network" and tried to connect manually.

My Samsung GS2 runnig on 2.3.4 has developed a problem. It keeps loosing Wifi connection at home. It connects then disconnects. It is becoming frustrating and annoying. I have uninstalled all apps and still no solution. I know others on here have had similar problems has a solution been found. I have switched the Wifi sleep to never. I have installed wifi fix which resolves it temporarily but then the connection falls off.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been using Samsung S5620 Monte (S5620 Onix in Spain; S5620 Star 3G in Brazil) for a few days now. It's a nice phone, but I can't get WiFi to work in WPA2-PSK(AES) mode with my DLink DI-524 wireless router. I can get the phone to connect in open, WEP or WPA modes, at home and also in public wireless networks, but there's no way to get it to work in WPA2 mode (which is my protocol of choice).
My wireless router log keeps saying that the phone has associated and then immediately disassociated because “WPA retey failed”. The DI-524 is running with the latest firmware update (hardware code B4, firmware version 2.07). It seems to be a Monte protocol issue, since both my Nokia E71 phone and my Dell Vostro notebook can easily connect to my home wireless network using WPA2. Is anybody facing the same problem? Is there any way to solve it? Does Samsung intend to release a firmware update soon?
My BB Pearl 8120 picks up wi-fi fine, but I have just replaced my home router and it doesn't recognize it when I scan for networks, All other wireless devices in the house (TV, laptop, I-Pad, son's phone) connect no problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently added a Netgear WN2000RPT range extender to my home network and now have a good signal all round my house. The network is used by several pcs and phones but my iPhone 4 will not connect to the extender. Previously it worked fine with just the router (also Netgear), and two other iphones (a 3 and a 4) do connect ok. I haven't changed anything on my phone. I have reset router, extender and restored the phone, changed security settings back and forth. The phone sees the signals from both router and extender but won't connect to either. The 'timer wheel' goes round and round like it's trying to connect but never does. If I turn off 3G the phone connects to the network but only for a few seconds

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhy won't my phone remain connected to my home wifi network? It's very frustrating to play Words With Friends when I have to disconnect then reconnect to my network every few minutes. The network signal strength is listed as Excellent.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a Nexus 5 about 15 days back. I am very happy with the phone - except for the fact that I face difficulty connecting to my Home Network in particular. My Windows Laptop, My wife's iPhone and iPAD connect to the same WIFI almost instantaneously. However, my Nexus 5 phone keeps saying "Obtaining IP Address" endlessly. At times, it says "Weak Signal - Cannot Reconnect" and gives up. However, all other mobile devices show that the signal strength is good. the phone does connect to the WiFi after sometime by itself.
I do not have this problem when I am at my office. It connects immediately to the WiFi in my office.
The Router setting at home is as follows :
Mode : AP
Band : 2.4GHz (B+G+N)
Channel Width : 20/40 Mhz Auto
Channel Number : 11 - 2462Mhz
Broadcast SSID - Enabled
WMM - Enabled
Authentication - WPA-PSK
Cipher Suie - CCMP
It does it intermittently, and I suspect it's because the whole phone is lagging - too many little background things running I suppose.
Assuming it's the lag problem (making a single press lag so long it seems like a long press), what are some strategies for clearing out less necessary tasks the phone is doing?
Don't know what's happen. Phone isn't rooted. Normally when I flip my home screen and I want to go back to my first home screen I press the homescreen button. But now it doesn't do anything?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new Galaxy S2 that I am totally delighted with (apart from the rather poor wifi signal reception, but that's not really a problem for me).I've noticed a strange thing though (and I don't know if this matters at all because everything still seems to work). When I connect my Galaxy up to my PC, it used to look something like this:(This is not my image, but it's the best I could find.) Basically, it used to say connected and show a picture of a USB connector. Now, for some strange reason, my S2 does not do that. When I connect up with USB, I still see the normal home screen and can navigate around as normal, at the same time as using Kies or accessing the S2 from my PC.Does anyone know why this is? Do other people's S2's behave like this, or do you all still see the USB image on screen?

I noticed that the phone contacts never download beyond 3 contacts(I have over 1,000) so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I called bmw service and they were totally unaware of what to do.
Also media is not supported! When connected texts and music will not show or stream.
