All i see in the router status under attached devices is:140:FC:89:21:1A:73the 1st -- is supposedly the device name, the second -- is supposedly the IP....neither ever show up and the xoom constantly loses data connection even though it says its connected.fortunately for me, i'm only stuck with this pile of junk 2 more days but it seems like a major issue to me, probably in netgears firmware.

I am able to connect and get an IP address from the router. But unable to do anything. At times it even reboots the router. I have tried various settings on the router and none seem to work.At work, I seem to have no issues connecting up to Wi Fi. Just seems to be with my netgear router.

We've done all the general troubleshooting and installed all updates still same problem a full connection but no data. I should note that my wifi works flawlessly in all other locations work home parents other friends etc.

My WiFi signal umbrella icon on the upper left corner keeps floating up and down and left and right. Every time I switch to a different page the connecting issue seems to repeat itself. Still seems to require the phone fields even though I don't have a Moto phone (just a Wifi Xoom). Also, the serial number selection is not clear since 3G users seem to use the MEID, but I've been asked for my Wifi MAC address before. This time I tried to simply enter my "serial number" as stated in the Xoom status screen. But I can't get past #1 issue above, it is trying to require me to enter a Moto phone as well.

I can't repeat exactly what is causing it; it seems to be mostly random - e.g. web browsing, reading a PDF, browsing the market, etc. I've tried to do a factory hard reset twice already, but still get the random rebooting. Sometimes it will do a full reboot where I see the Motorola logo and other times it will sort of do a half-reboot and I only see the boot animation video and not the Motorola logo.

View 4 Replies View Relatedthe one thing that bugs the crap out of me is that the hard grey back cover doesnt line up flush with the softer top black peice where the speakers and camera are. it came out of the box this way. its only on the right side though (if im looking at the screen). it is perfectly fine on the side where the camera and power button are and fine in the center.i know to some this may seem trivial especially if you dont have this issue but i feel like i paid A LOT for this device and should have the quality build that was intended by motorola and was expected by me. the consumer.is this something that i could send in to moto to get adjusted? am i better off trying to "fix" it myself? am i alone in this issue?

My three computers have connected to the Hub with no problem, two hard wired a the laptop using the wireless side of the Hub. My granddaughter cannot connected to the VMD G280 Hub with her Blackberry 8520 phone, we have tried several ways but the phone shows its connected but nothing happens. She had no trouble connecting to the Netgear Wireless G router WGR 614 that the hub replaced so has anyone got any Ideas of whats wrong?

I cant use it with ichat or any app so face time is my only route. Have tried in 5 different location with 3 other iphone 4 users. gets stuck on "connecting" and eventually fails. I bought the phone about 3 weeks now, But here comes my next problem that is very close for me to actually throw it out of my apartment. The phone charger that comes with the phone DOESN'T WORK! It never worked from the start, and I had to use the USB charger from my computer to N97 Mini. Okay, so that may be a solution. However, I am travelling abroad for a conference soon. How am I suppose to bring my computer along with USB charger and everything if I was to travel light. For those people who is going ot suggest, try and plug the USB charger to other computer. Here is the problem. I've tried my entire office computers after office hour. ONLY 1 computer manage to charge for 1 hr before it 'automatically' disconnects. The rest only recognize the PC suit and Mass memory... but NOT the charging.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a Samsung Moment. Previous phone, a Palm Pre, connected to my WiFi without a single problem. Just typed in the password once and from then on it never gave me trouble. But the Moment wouldn't work with WiFi at all for the longest time. It would see the network and let me type in the password, but the WiFi status would always say "Disconnected" and there was never an icon in the notification area. Finally I managed to get it working by switching my router from mixed mode to 802.11g only (it's a combination DSL modem/router, made by Actiontec, with 802.11b and 802.11g). Now it seems to work perfectly. I was just wondering if anyone else had similar problems, perhaps with mixed mode g/n? Maybe it's just my router, but I'm curious. At least I didn't have to make any sacrifices other than disabling 802.11b, which I don't need anyway.
