Jun 4, 2011The camera on my xoom will not work at all. I have tried it by itself and in apps such as a bar code scanner. I get nothing but a blank screen.

Apr 16, 2011Has anyone had any success with using Wifi that required user certificates? I'm trying to get my Xoom to connect to the corporate network (EAP-TLS) and followed the instructions for the IPad and imported my certificated into Android correctly. But when I connect, it hangs at the connecting state for minutes, before finally giving up.

Feb 3, 2012i tried connecting my fe to my tv tonight to watch netflix. it doesnt work for me. the video freezes up and i only hear the sound. all other aspects of hdmi out works. i can watch my movies i copied to the device or taped using the onboard video camera on my tv, Internet, etc. i was just curious if my netflix problem is a known issue or limitation?

Feb 29, 2012I have OCS pushed to my device (WiFi only) in late January. It's been working well.But today I noticed when trying to do Skype that the front camera no longer works. I deleted Skype and a number of other apps thinking they might be the problem but no change.If I start the camera app it just presents a blank screen and then Stops. I deleted all the application data for the camera and the cache and restarted it. Now the camera works and shows an image from the rear camera. But as soon as I try to switch to the front camera, the app hangs as above and won't start again until I Force Stop it and delete the application data.

I took a few pictures and then hit the power button to shut off the screen, When I later hit the power buttom to wake my wifi xoom, the xoom awoke back into the camera app, however, the screen for the picture was black. I hit the "back" button and it illuminated blue to indicate that I had hit it but it remained blue. It was stuck. I hit "home" and it gave me a message to force close the camera or wait. I force closed it and attempted to restart the camera app. It wouldn't restart so I rebooted the xoom.Now, the camera app starts up and shows a picture, however, I get the subject message "Mount USB Storage Before Using the Camera"

Dec 8, 2011I Just bought the Xoom Family Edition and it is a great tablet for the price.I wanted a dock for a boost in the speakers and to charge the tablet.I purchased the Xoom HD Speaker Dock - it's the same product right? just the Family Edition is a little scaled back.They have moved the USB and HDMI ports so it will not work with the XOOM docking stations. Aug 16, 2011I got the 3.2 upgrade for my 3G Xoom a week or so ago; I understood that when the upgrade came, it would work with SD cards just like the WiFI-only Xoom upgrade. Today I stuck a SanDisk micro SD into the slot, and I got an option in "Settings" to mount the SD, but it won't mount. Neither will computer (Vista OS) recognize an SD, nor will it create a Xoom Media section in computer file explorer when Xoom is connected by USB as the Motorola help site describes; all I get is the original Xoom folder that I had pre-3.2.

Jun 19, 2012When I uprgraded my Xoom wi-fi to ICS, Amazon Prime videos became totally unviewable. I almost gave up ever being able to use the Xoom for viewing streaming videos again. Then I read, on this forum, that Adobe had upgraded Flash and that now the videos should be okay. I have since watched bout 4 or 5 videos and they were very smooth without a single hiccup or sign of dropped frames. However, I tried to watch "Explorers" and it is totally unviewable with jerky sound and blocky video. I tried restarting it several times with no change. Then I picked a different video, also on Amazon Prime, and it worked fine.

I have 3.2 installed and can confirm that there is native SD card usage however I can not figure out how to take pictures and have them save directly to the SD card. They still get saved in internal memory. How do we change that I don't see a setting anywhere unless I am blind.

Sep 23, 2012how to read in raw image files direct from my dslr. I have an OTG cable that is connected to the micro-usb. If i set the camera to jpeg it will launch the gallery and allow me to import these so i know the cables work, the images can be imported and stored on the xoom. Have also read variuos things that say direct raw import are not possible but am not sure if this is now out of date. I also know rawdroid works ok once i can get the files on the xoom so have my raw viewer sorted. Now, if i try and use file manager and check at the /mnt directory i can't see a way to find the sd card in the camera to try and copy them over. This was one of the key things i wanted to get working on this when i bought it.

I have an OTG cable and android 3.1. can anyone help me I would really like the usb drives working that is all I need. I tried a google search and they all say it must be rooted, is that true?
