I just received my Verizon Xoom back from Motorola for the 4G upgrade, the Xoom had 3G signal level before it went in for the 4G upgrade, now it shows no signal level, I checked in "Status", it shows 0dBm in signal strength and network is listed as "Unknown"..this Xoom is not activated and was not activated when it went in for the 4G upgrade, but it DID show 3G signal strength before the upgrade and "Network" was listed as "Verizon".

Ticket Opened 09/29/2011Device Received 10/06/2011RMA Processed 10/07/2011SO I go to MYVERIZON and see that they have burned up 1.69GB on my account in the 2 days since they had it. They recieved it on the 6th and on the 7th and 8th it was being used. I have a 1 GB plan. My question to matt is if they are using my GB to test it (or perhaps checking their facebook account and downloading ***) am I going to get billed for that usage and the overcharges. I never have gone over 1 GB as I use the wireless at home and work. I've Just completed the Official ICS Upgrade on my MZ616 Asia/Pacific model (purchased in Singapore). It Appears that Motoprint is broken after the upgrade? Attempting to print - results in an error "Unfortunately Motoprint has stopped" the only options given are to "Report" or "OK" the error message. Motoprint is up to date (Version 5.0.0.26) - and no updates appear to be available on Play Store. Accessing Motoprint through the settings menu gives the same error.
I didn it once. I deleted most of the default bookmarks, but now that I have too many and want to delete more bookmarks I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to get back to that edit screen.
It's driving me bonkers.
I don't have my bookmarks synced with Chrome. I'm just trying to delete some dupes that I have in the list. It must be so simple that no one else has had this problem because I can't find anything on the web or even this forum.
Just holding down on the widget just pops up arrows to resize. I can't find anything in the settings of the browser to do it. But I did it before and have no idea what i did.
Not sure if my Xoom is a "family edition" but its model is MZ601.Anyway, I am trying to replicate the functionality of Google Maps' My Places from my PC to my tablet.I can see my saved pushpins but can't make it so the left panel opens up, allowing me to see notes as well as pins. I also cannot edit anything in my saved Map.So far I have tried this in the default browser as well as with the default Google Maps app that came already installed.
I was wondering whether anyone has tried to use skydrive on Xoom, I have tried the stock browser and Dolphin HD, am not able to edit MS word documents, the keyboard doesn't toggle.
Has anyone had any success with using Wifi that required user certificates? I'm trying to get my Xoom to connect to the corporate network (EAP-TLS) and followed the instructions for the IPad and imported my certificated into Android correctly. But when I connect, it hangs at the connecting state for minutes, before finally giving up.
Running ICS on Xoom Wifi. When creating a photo gallery widget, and selecting a single image, then go to crop, it seems to freeze the tablet on Saving Picture... prompt. Touching the controls icons won't do anything, just blank screen.I have to wait for a few, then the launcher freeze popup saying wait/report/stop. When creating photo gallery widget from album or shuffle, it works. It just doesn't work with single image. I think this is a bug, repeatable with any images.if I have space left, it says 28.11 GB free.
I shoot in the RAW format on a Canon DSLR. When I tried transferring to the XOOM from the camera with the Camera Connection Kit cable using the PTP protocol, only JPG's would appear available for importing in the Gallery app. Is this a limitation of Gallery and I just need to find another app for the RAW formatted files to transfer and display? Any way to transfer and view RAW (.cr2) photo files?
I currently missing photo and music, not really missing them, If I open ES File Explorer and open .sdcard/DCIM/Camera all my photo are there. They just don't show up in Gallery. I can open them from ES File Explorer fine. Same with Music, I can open /sdcard/Music and all my music is there but when I open the Music App, it reports"You don't have any music in your library." I can open any song from the file explorer. Also I can no longer see any files in storage when I connect my Xoom via USB to my Win7 pc, the internal storage shows up but is empty.
I have music and photo files stored on an SD card. I could play the music and view photos OK before ICS update. After ICS, the music files on the SD card didn't play. If I copied them to the internal memory, they worked. Gallery photos on SD card had multiple copies and would not swipe from one to the next. When viewed with XOOM attached to PC, there were multiple copies of everything. but only one copy of each if viewed in file manager, or by plugging SD card directly into PC. I found on other forums that I can clear the media storage and the files will play properly. However, after I restart once or twice the files are corrupted again. Is there a permanent fix for this problem? Is Google/Motorola aware of this? Is a permanent fix planned for a future update?
enever I try to upload photos through the built in photo uploading app (it doesn't matter what service I try to upload to) the photo fails to upload, giving an "Upload error" notification. When the notification is clicked I get the following error: "Can't send response now. Data services are unavailable."I've seen some people mention doing a full factory reset (on other Motorola DROID phones) and this possibly fixing the issue, but I would definitely like to avoid this at all costs.
Since I updated to the newest software my iPhone keeps turning of when I atept to edit a photo I have tried restoring it a few times now and it's still turning of?
So after the firmware update, I decided to do a factory reset.
I noticed that the camera takes far less time to 'add finishing touches' now, but I no longer have the ability to edit the exposure/light after I take the photo. That button never appears when I am looking at the photo afterwards? Rich capture is enabled.
How can I edit/delete photo tags that I've created? There are now some duplicates, wrongly spelled etc., but just can't find their locations, or how to edit them?!
After I imported photos from my iPhone 4S to my PC (with Windows 7) every picture that I try to edit (rotate) I receive an error: "Windows Photo Viewr can't save the changes to this picture because there's a problem with the picture's file proprietes"I checked the proprieties and all seems to be ok?
I recently purchased a Motorola Xoom and i've been trying a couple of different apps for Twitter on my Xoom the regular Twitter app doesn't seem to work for me on my Xoom and the Tweetdeck App doesn't move or turn on all screens when i move my Xoom.
i tried connecting my fe to my tv tonight to watch netflix. it doesnt work for me. the video freezes up and i only hear the sound. all other aspects of hdmi out works. i can watch my movies i copied to the device or taped using the onboard video camera on my tv, Internet, etc. i was just curious if my netflix problem is a known issue or limitation?
Am I am able to cut and paste from one image to another with my existing photo software? Compared to other phones - Nokia has awesome photo editing capability....
If i try to crop an image (using the iPhone edit option) that i saved to my photo library (while browsing the internet e.g.), once i click save the image gets completely blurred out (into small pixel) cubes. Doesn't happen with images that were clicked directly from the phone camera.
