View 4 RepliesAll i see in the router status under attached devices is:140:FC:89:21:1A:73the 1st -- is supposedly the device name, the second -- is supposedly the IP....neither ever show up and the xoom constantly loses data connection even though it says its connected.fortunately for me, i'm only stuck with this pile of junk 2 more days but it seems like a major issue to me, probably in netgears firmware.

After the GB update, my computer (either of them, both running windows 7 64bit, one professional, one home edition) don't recognize the device at all. I have Moto Media Link installed, and I've tried reinstalling the drivers software and such, but whenever I plug the phone in it just charged, I get no notification like I used to that I was plugged in. In the past, the phone beeped and asked me to choose what kind of connection I wanted. I get no such prompt now. The phone is not set to debugging mode either.
View 4 Replies View Relatedwith a lack of Internet connection on their 4G LTE XOOM. I purchased my XOOM in October and except for one time right after I got it, I've always been connected to a wifi someplace. Last week I found myself at probably one of the few McDonald's that had no wifi. I didn't think that was an issue but it turned out to be. I spoke with the people at Motorola who couldn't diagnosis my problem so I'm supposed to send the unit back to them. In the interim I thought (and spoke to Motorola about this as well) that as a means of troubleshooting I would take it to Verizon to see if perhaps I had a bad sim card. The manager was a complete idiot (I'm being VERY nice here) and told me that sim cards do not go bad! At issue is that when the unit goes back to Motorola it goes back devoid of anything including my sim card. I called Verizon directly and the feeling I got from them was that they really wanted to resolve my problem and probably not send my unit back to Motorola. The tech was very nice but she couldn't get any internet working on my XOOM either. She is sending me a new sim card which should be here tomorrow. Let's hope it's as easy a fix as that. I do have the 3.2.6 upgrade on my unit and except for it sometimes freezing at boot up the past week or so I haven't had any other issues with it.
View 15 Replies View Relatedthis has been constantly happening to me on multiple sets of headphones. it appears the music player thinks that when the headphones are connected to the xoom that you must want to play music. last night i was watching Internet and all of a sudden a song in my music started playing when i went back to a prior video i was watching. many times prior to this i was listening to music in my mp3 app and music started playing from the music app.
i left my headphones connected all night with my xoom asleep not charging and just now i couldn't get my screen to come on. i was sure that the battery must have drained so i plugged it in and held the power button to get it to start and nothing happened. my charger was plugged in too. i was scared there for a bit until i unplugged the charger from the xoom and my screen came on asking me if i was sure i wanted to shut down. i had 56% battery. so i was able to continue. then all of a sudden my music started playing again.
I just bought the new camera connection kit for my 32gb 4G Xoom. I have a Samsung WB210, but can't seem to get it to download photos to the Xoom. Is that not possible? Is it only used to put photos on the Xoom from a computer?
View 9 Replies View RelatedUsually, I have no problems making the USB connection to my Xoom work. I've been using it for nearly a year with no problems. Today, I noticed that when I connect my USB cable, I can see both the Internal Storage and SD Card devices. However, when I click on the SD Card, I don't see any files. I can see them just fine if I use a file manager on the Xoom so I know that they're there. I just can't see them with my Win7 box. It does know how much space on the SD Card is used/available so it's at least getting some information.
I installed the Motorola drivers to see if that would help but it didn't. I've also rebooted both devices and tried a different USB port on my PC.
I've been trying and trying but copying more than a few music files seems to beyond my xoom.I have Windows XP connected to Xoom via USB, and after a few seconds the file copy just dies and I can't see the Storage device.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just installed an update to the Music App, shows as version 3. Previously I had moved several albums to the Music folder on my wifi Xoom and could see and play these on the Xoom. After the update the Music app does not see the previous albums. I moved another wma file to the Music folder using the latest USB drivers but the App does not see it either. Other music playing apps on the Xoom see the files and can play them. What am I doing wrong? I think I have the Music beta but am not sure, can anyone tell me what the version of the Music beta is? Also, I installed the windows USB driver on all my computers. USB seems to work fine on my Win 7, WinXP and Windows Home Server computers except through USB I cannot see any media files in my Xoom folders. Also many files I have put in the download folder cannot be seen. Is this due to the .nomedia file in the folder. Can I just rename that file to see the other files there?

View 10 Replies View RelatedThe XOOM 3G manual says that ts possible to use USB tethering for sharing your XOOM's 3G connection with the laptop. However, the XOOM doesn't have the option described in the manual! I'm running 3.2 on a non-US 3G XOOM.Well, you might wonder why I need USB tethering. So far, I've found that USB tethering provides better bandwidth than WIFI tethering.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a hard time tethering from XOOM to Laptop, after I reinstalled my Window VISTA laptop, and since I upgraded XOOM to 4G. I don't know whether it is 4G upgrade or VISTA that causes the problem. Sometime, it works the first attempt to connect, the other time i have to reboot my laptop a couple of times. My remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device driver is current. My Laptop saw XOOM drive fine no problem( I did installed Motorola Driver). And I attempted to do a soft reboot (Vol up + Power button), it shown the battery level and hung there for a long time (1 to 2 minutes maybe). I think i don't know how to do a soft reboot the right way. However, I can tether to my laptop, but i have to reboot my laptop a couple times. I did try to unplug and replug the USB cable and then set xoom to tethering/hot spot in both wifi and 3g/4g. It failed to connect unless I reboot the machine. My xoom is 3.2.2 with HLK75D build number.

I've been looking up things on the internet for days now, and am getting desperate.

View 1 Replies View RelatedTraveling with the Xoom wi-fi and it suddenly decided not to connect with open wi-fi networks. Works fine on home network and worked fine on open networks a couple of weeks ago. Now, it sees the network, saves the network but when you tap "OK" to connect nothing happens.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy XOOM returned from 4G upgrade refusing to search for WiFi once it has been allowed to connect 4G. I have experimented with many ways to improve this including changing from CDMA/LTE to CDMA only (just to test 3G connections), disabling the 'data enabled' setting, disabling WiFi too, then turning on WiFi both before and after blanking the screen, and trying all 3 options of when to change from 4G to WiFi (after screen blank, etc.). The only fix is a complete shutdown and cold boot for it to wake up and search for WiFi. The WiFi in question are the same I used before the 4G upgrade and nothing has changed but the XOOM hardware and presumably software. If it is restricted to WiFi only and I move from home to office to a public WiFi, it will happily switch back and forth UNTIL I coax it into a 4G connection. Then, it takes a cold reboot.

how to read in raw image files direct from my dslr. I have an OTG cable that is connected to the micro-usb. If i set the camera to jpeg it will launch the gallery and allow me to import these so i know the cables work, the images can be imported and stored on the xoom. Have also read variuos things that say direct raw import are not possible but am not sure if this is now out of date. I also know rawdroid works ok once i can get the files on the xoom so have my raw viewer sorted. Now, if i try and use file manager and check at the /mnt directory i can't see a way to find the sd card in the camera to try and copy them over. This was one of the key things i wanted to get working on this when i bought it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently had issues with my Xoom where it often loses touch connection. When I touch and drag it suddenly acts as if I lifted my finger when I did not. It's almost like something is interrupting the touch. I've tried uninstalling everything, doing a restore, stopping services, restarting the tablet, but none of it has worked. This does not happen all the time, but happens often, most often when I first turn the tablet on or when I've been using it a long time. Imagine playing Angry Birds and having the bird fling itself when you've just started pulling back the sling shot. It's quite frustrating. Kidding aside it affects other applications as well. For example I can no longer draw dependably since my lines end up cutting off at unexpected moments.
My screen also has some kind of strange oily stuff under it when I press it. I thought these issues were due to my screen protector so I took it off, but the issues continue. It's been getting worse to the point where sometimes it does not go away for a while. Eventually the oily stuff disappears but when I touch the screen it comes back.
I have a problem connecting my BlackBerry 8900 to a Sitecom WL-346 WiFi modem/router. I have created the WiFi profile on my phone, the connection get established, my phone get an IP address from the router (that is also a DHCP server) but I can't connect to internet. Also, if I try to ping the phone itself or the gateway (that is the router), the ping times out. I can't figure out which is the problem. From al of my devices (PCs, Wii) internet connection whit this router is OK.

I"m looking for the settings for the wired headset. There was a screen that allowed you to set sound effects and I believe equalizer settings. Was this screen eliminated? I can't seem to find it.
