I have a W910i Sony Ericsson phone. And we have WIFI connection in my home and at my work place. Thus, we have our own wireless router. Is it possible for me to connect to our WIFI connection using my W910i? If it is possible, how will I connect to it?

I've been trying to get my phone to connect to my existing home Internet connection, which is wireless. I gave this thought because my husband's IPhone connects to our home network so easily. How do I get my C901 to do this? Or is it not possible?
When I tried to set up the My Presence section within the phone I entered in my username, password and then it asked me for server information so I entered in what I thought was the right info, but now it keeps giving me a network error failure message.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBefore the problem happened, i left my phone on in standby mode.I discovered after the problem happened, the phone was permanently shutdown, nothing i did (trying all the keys, taking battery out etc) could turn it on again.When I charged it, it still refused to turn on.The only thing that happened when it was under the charger was that the top left key and 'main' middle button in the directional keypad light up in red. The other non numerical keys light up to varying degrees of brightness, but the top left and middle key are the brightest for some reason.Could someone kindly advise, I would like to have my functioning phone back.

I have deleted files but the error is still coming up. This seemed to occur after storing a large amount of data on my 8GB M2 card. I have tasken the card out but the phone still has error. Tried updating software but it says it is the latest. Also done a Reset settings from Master reset - error still occurs. Everytime I switch on phone the free memory is sometime 10MB. 6.1MB or 4.9MB.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have no problem using anything else that requires an Internet connection through Wi-Fi, such as browsing, email and GPS.However, when A-GPS is enabled when using any location service application,the phone will use the mobile network (O2 in my case) to access the server even when connected to a Wi-fi network (my own wireless router).Everything else will use Wi-Fi by default, when connected, but A-GPS seems to be the exception.Has anyone else encountered this problem with the W995 and do you know why? Is it perhaps network related?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded the firmware in my W910i, and now it doesn't see/recognize the messages (email, SMS, MMS) that have been saved to the M2 memory card, nor does the phone see/recognize the Java applications I'd added. I know all this data is on the card, because I've seen it, via a card-reader, on my notebook.
I have kept a record of all firmware change activity, except I don't know what the original firmware details were, i.e. straight out of the box. I use this SE 'jewel' as a Walkman/iPod, a PDA, and as a serious portable email client, and don't want to lose the ability to migrate my email through any OS upgrade (or phone model upgrade, as I also have a W705a).
I know those 5-6 files (like MSTK_PRO.IND) in the root directory of the memory card have something to do with it, but I don't know how. I have actually seen that the content of the email messages (body.dat files in sub-folders with long numeric names) is simply pure text. I hope there is a way of 're-sewing' the pieces together, using some sort of key formula.

I am using Nokia Maps 3.03 on my E71 (language: German) plus Nokia Map Loader 3.0, but I am experiencing several problems: Nokia Maps goes online via Internet for a few seconds (which costs me) although I set it to my Wireless connection. How can I switch that off? Every time I load a new map (and voices) via Map Loader and then start the software on my E71, it tells me that the maps are out-dated and I need to delete them. But then I do not see any maps in the software, and also the load of the voice is gone.
