I have this inconvenience with my wi-fi on my mobile. I just got it brand new the other day and have been happy with it. But it seems my wi-fi is always connected with my home router, even if i disconnect it, it reconnects a minute later. Please could someone post a solution, i've been trying to find this all over the net.

View 9 Replies View RelatedYesterday when i bought the phone at the mall I was able to briefly connect to a wifi spot using nokia 5530 .But when I got home I couldnt connect to my router which also has wireless capabilities , now when I search for network throught the phone I cant see my router ! Im beggining to think this is because I use PPPOE that I also connect my pc to internet ? what should I do to get wireless to my phone too I dont see an option on the phone that asks for PPPOE username and password ,how do I get this ressolved ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Phone for some months. The problem started a month ago when I tried to connect to my WLAN router. There is a security key on my router but when I connect through my Nokia Phone, it doesn't ask for any key (with my Laptop, I can connect to the WLAN with the preshared key). It simply connects to the router without they key and when I start browsing, it says "No Gateway Reply". Thinking this might be the settings problem I soft reset my phone but still the problem remains. The point is, it only does this with my own router. Anyone know how to sort this out?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia 5530 xpress music mobile - (Christmas present) and was wondering when any new firmware is going to be released; The native browser just closes on its own (sometimes active sometimes inactive) The phone is a little slow loading up and menus (know this may be down to apps etc and memory card) The shortcut icons disappear sometimes from the homescreen (causing a reset to rectify) and when I change them the shortcut on the far right changes itself back to facebook The phone sometimes gets stuck on a white screen at startup which can only be solved by removing the memory card and starting up then reinserting There are a few more minor things but they don't really matter but I have noticed the touchscreen can be quite unresponsive needing quite firm touches or repetitive touches (yes I know some things require double touch) I was also wondering why my phone keeps disconnecting from the wifi source (I have a standard home router) - I know some routes 'refresh' themselves however I don't have problems with my computers or laptops (yes I know its different hardware) Done get me wrong its a good phone, with great features and I am not complaining however I just expected less obvious faults not ones that can cause disruption in normal day-to-day use URL...

I recently bought a Nokia C3-00 WiFi phone but I can't seem to browse my home wireless connection with it. The phone can detect and connect with the wireless network successfully but when I open my mobile browser, it can't load websites, saying "Service not available."However, I can connect and browse the internet through other WiFi hotspots, just not my home connection. The router I'm using is LP-8616. It's an AP router, if that helps. Unfortunately, there's no firmware upgrade for this router anymore.

My friend has the aforementioned router. I can connect but get no data transfer. My tablet and my friends phones HTC incredible and og droid work just fine. We've done all the general troubleshooting and installed all updates still same problem a full connection but no data. I should note that my wifi works flawlessly in all other locations work home parents other friends etc.

I have had it connected in the past and have tried the reboot (taking out the battery whilst still on) but it didn't improve, I have tried to connect via WPS and manually. Turned my iphone on and off two times, Turned my router on and off several times, reset my network setting on the iphone, changed the channel on the router twice, pressed "forget this network" and tried to connect manually.

My wife has a bb 9300 3g on os6 and everything has been fine.However somehow she has screwed up the wi-fi settings.The phone will not connect to our home router and displays the rror message " failed to obtain an IP address".I hve tried everything on the phone from
- Removing the wi-fi setting and reentering them.
- Entering the details manually
- Removing the battery and rebooting the phone
- Reinstally the os over the computer
Nothing seems to work. I know the router is fine as I have the same phone and it connects ok along with several other devices.Has anyone any suggestions before I reset the phone to factory setting?
My BB Pearl 8120 picks up wi-fi fine, but I have just replaced my home router and it doesn't recognize it when I scan for networks, All other wireless devices in the house (TV, laptop, I-Pad, son's phone) connect no problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a Nexus 5 about 15 days back. I am very happy with the phone - except for the fact that I face difficulty connecting to my Home Network in particular. My Windows Laptop, My wife's iPhone and iPAD connect to the same WIFI almost instantaneously. However, my Nexus 5 phone keeps saying "Obtaining IP Address" endlessly. At times, it says "Weak Signal - Cannot Reconnect" and gives up. However, all other mobile devices show that the signal strength is good. the phone does connect to the WiFi after sometime by itself.
I do not have this problem when I am at my office. It connects immediately to the WiFi in my office.

I bought my mom a E63. When I se it up, everything worked perfectly. It would find my router at home and conect to it, it would find wireless hotspots everywhere and connect to them etc... Now, all of the sudden, it will not find anything anymore. Even if I am standing in front of my router, it will say "No WLAN network found".
I just updated her phone to the newest firmware and reset everything to factory defaults, and the phone still refuses to find any WLAN's. I went into the menu and made sure that it does show WLAN availability etc...
I recently bought the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music and tried to connect to the internet via my Linksys ADSL wireless router. As i have added MAC Filtering to keep wireless network safe, i tried to add my 5800's MAC in the filter list. but when i tried to save the settings an error message popped up saying "The MAC address cannot be the Multipart Address.".Any thoughts on what that means? or what should i do?The connection works fine if i dont apply the MAC filtering. It is might be some problem at router end.
