when i turn on my Nokia 5530 XM i get an eror : "Home screen: function doesn't work on this device" . What's the reason of this error and maybe i could fix it on my own?

The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?
My nexus 5 is having screen issues and the screen basically doesn't function due to what I can only assume is a bad connection on the mainboard ( if I press in the right area with the back cover off the screen will flicker and work a tiny bit if I reboot the phone.) My issue is I still have tons of pictures that are very dear to me on the device and need to get them off of it.
When I connect it to my pc (windows 7) it connects and shows up as a nexus 5 device but nothing will appear in the folder. Im fairly certain I have the correct drivers installed as well. So how can I get it to connect properly with having basically no access to the screen?
When I try to access the camera function from a locked screen i click on the camera icon it just bounces and the camera app doesn't open.

my sons nokia 5530 has just been in for repair as it kept switching off soon as a call was answered (received phone back thurs 15th july ) all seems to be working fine now until he noticed today the auto rotate doesn't work i've checked the settings and the box has been checked also removed the battery for a while to see if it kicks it into touch can anyone shed some light as to why this might be happening before i take the phone back into shop, its not a massive issue but it is a function he likes to use.

Ive got a problem with my space bar. Normally if i touch the left arrow under and then spacebar u get the search lamp with more symbols now i have to touch them at the same time. whats wrong? if i do the arrow first and 1 sec later the spacebar is doenst work, then got a space. So the Spacebar( more symbols ) only work if u touch them at the same time.( leftunder arrow and spacebar )

However, when people call me, it does not show them as a saved contact, it just shows the number.This is frustrating and is a continuation of a long list of problems with my E66. I would say that the E66 is not the best phone I have used from Nokia.Can anyone please offer some suggestions on how to make my saved contacts show up on screen when they are calling me?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI basically turn on my phone and then screen is not touchable anymore and message comes up with ' 2 new messages' and i try to show it but i cant because the touch screen is not working. It just happened randomly and i only got this phone at Christmas. I dont know why it has started doing this and the only app that works is camera and the middle button that looks like a dash at the bottom of the phone with the red and green button thats all that is working. i was trying to see if there is a way i can fix this problem or can i take it back to carphone warehouse and get a new one?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia 5530 xpress music mobile - (Christmas present) and was wondering when any new firmware is going to be released; The native browser just closes on its own (sometimes active sometimes inactive) The phone is a little slow loading up and menus (know this may be down to apps etc and memory card) The shortcut icons disappear sometimes from the homescreen (causing a reset to rectify) and when I change them the shortcut on the far right changes itself back to facebook The phone sometimes gets stuck on a white screen at startup which can only be solved by removing the memory card and starting up then reinserting There are a few more minor things but they don't really matter but I have noticed the touchscreen can be quite unresponsive needing quite firm touches or repetitive touches (yes I know some things require double touch) I was also wondering why my phone keeps disconnecting from the wifi source (I have a standard home router) - I know some routes 'refresh' themselves however I don't have problems with my computers or laptops (yes I know its different hardware) Done get me wrong its a good phone, with great features and I am not complaining however I just expected less obvious faults not ones that can cause disruption in normal day-to-day use URL...

As I said I will just be on my phone then the screen will go black with red and black stripes going from one side of the phone to another, it will then turn itself on and off again. With the previous device software, the owner information would appear. Incidentally, the owner information will appear if I lock (with a password) the device; but I typically do not have the need nor wish to go through the bother of using a password.Is this simply a glitch? I have a problem with my phone, whenever i try to click on on of the two icons at the bottom of my screen ( Home screen/NOT MENU). It does not work, so i can not enter a new number or call someone, with out changing the home screen option. Can you tell me what the matter is.
I can still use my phone and call but the home screen, setting at the moment i really do not like. I know this may not be properly clear to understand, if you need more info just send me a message.
I seem to be unable to access the Help Function from the home screen without having to complete a hard reset each time. The device is new and I suspect that I have a setting incorrectly placed but I have checked the obvious ones and am stuck.

I restored it to factory settings, and I got to the part where it says to let your phone restart, but after it did, the iPhone turned off and now it will not turn back on. iTunes cannot see it and I have tried charging it and it does not work.
