I am having a problem with my nokia 5530 xpressmusic. when i turned it on the touch screen wont work . What could be the cause? please help.I restarted it and it work fine now. but im still bothered by this problem.
View 7 RepliesI basically turn on my phone and then screen is not touchable anymore and message comes up with ' 2 new messages' and i try to show it but i cant because the touch screen is not working. It just happened randomly and i only got this phone at Christmas. I dont know why it has started doing this and the only app that works is camera and the middle button that looks like a dash at the bottom of the phone with the red and green button thats all that is working. i was trying to see if there is a way i can fix this problem or can i take it back to carphone warehouse and get a new one?

View 5 Replies View Relatedwhile on holiday in Asia I put my phone to water tight plastic bag after 5 minutes when I managed to get of the boat to the shore and taken the phone of the bag the touch screen stoped working, all other keys are working perfect could still take pictures press the Menu button, power botton, volume buttons but noting happens when trying to touch the screen.
I have done format (3 fingers) but still the same touch screen not working.

It keeps telling me that the c: memory is full and that i should delete some items, however when i try to, there is hardly anything on the c:. Also the phone only works sporadically for about five minutes after switching on and after that the menu button and the touch screen do not work properly and i am unable to make any calls or texts, but can still recieve calls.
Also it is telling me that the sim memory is full and remains full despite deleting text messages. Has anyone else experienced such problems or know how i can fix these problems?
I've only had my Lumia 710 for two weeks. Up until 4 days ago, the touch screen focus attribute was working perfectly. I was taking pictures and it simply stopped working.I've since tried resetting the camera options back to defaults with no luck. I recently updated the phones software pn 10.18.2012 with no change either. I also took out the battery and sim card out of frustration and obviously had no luck.

View 6 Replies View RelatedA strange thing happened. I had been coping with Nokia somehow without shifting to another phone for 5 years now. Today i updated to belle refersh, now my tocuh screen doesnt register my touch in certain areas, i cant pull down the notification bar, cant scroll vertially (horizontal scroll works with jerks), the icon i click on doesnt get selected, but one above or on the side of it gets selected...pretty strange and annoying...what i did....removed memory card, restarted, checked...same thing...clean formatted the phone (without memory card...still doesnt work).

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy sons nokia 5530 has just been in for repair as it kept switching off soon as a call was answered (received phone back thurs 15th july ) all seems to be working fine now until he noticed today the auto rotate doesn't work i've checked the settings and the box has been checked also removed the battery for a while to see if it kicks it into touch can anyone shed some light as to why this might be happening before i take the phone back into shop, its not a massive issue but it is a function he likes to use.

Now is this rectifiable? Or better to go for an exchange? I dont trust Nokia Care because my e72 is still with them for some error which they are not explaning properly. Poor customer service.

I bought a Nokia 5530 in Xtra Vision recently and I've been having minor problems.. First of all i was sending a message and the screen randomly went black and red lines came across the screen for a few seconds then it went back to my message .. Then I was charging it Good Friday and took it out to make a call and the screen went white as if I was turning the phone on as nokia came across the screen please help why is it doing this?

Only way of calling is going thru contacts within the menu and if it is not there then you have to set it up which is extremely long and laborious! View 6 Replies View RelatedI just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.
Yesterday me Touchscreen stop working. I tried to restart it for 3 or 4 times, but it´s still not working. So I tried to download the software again but it´s still the same. Only the Keys on the sides are working, but not the touchscreen.
View 4 Replies View Relatedwas working perfectly fine until i downloaded an app that you can now get for free from RIM until some date in may. anyways, i wiped my phone and it was working fine for a few days, then it stopped working out of no where. then for some reason when i upgraded bbm and had to reset my phone, the touch worked perfectly but then randomly stopped working again. I got my Nokia 5530 in December last year and after a hard reset and some sotware updates the problems continue to come back. Right now the touch screen is completely unresponsive and reseting taking out sim and memory cards have no affect. I think the problem could be fixed if i do a hard reset but the send and end buttons dont work.

The main screen sometimes flickers too. The symbol is like a wedge with a rectangle shape sat on top with a red circle beside it.
