I have a Nokia N95 and i got problem with wifi networks. I can join and surf on the internet, when im in unsecured router, but mine router is WPA and settings in N95 should be right. It is saying that I entered invalid router password or something like that.
View 12 RepliesI have changed my router; all my devices (2 x iPad, Blackberry, Samsung TV) have seen and remembered this as my new network and are working fine, however, my 2 x iPhones (1 x iPhone3, 1 iPhone4 both with ios5.1) will not 'remember' this new network. They see it fine and and I can login and use it fine, but I am asked for the password every time. I have reset networks, but couldn't 'forget this network' as the option is not available. This is strange and is frustrating me as I can't understand why all works fine on my brand-new iPad3s!

It's a 2WIRE AT&T router for a DSL line. Do I need to set up something under DHCP or BootP or Static settings?
I no longer have the 3G network and I can get WiFi at all other WiFi spots except when a 2WIRE DSL box (router) is being used.
I bought my mom a E63. When I se it up, everything worked perfectly. It would find my router at home and conect to it, it would find wireless hotspots everywhere and connect to them etc... Now, all of the sudden, it will not find anything anymore. Even if I am standing in front of my router, it will say "No WLAN network found".
I just updated her phone to the newest firmware and reset everything to factory defaults, and the phone still refuses to find any WLAN's. I went into the menu and made sure that it does show WLAN availability etc...
After a clean install (restored as a new iPhone) of iOS 5.1 on my iPhone 3GS it keeps asking me the wifi network password every time I want to connect. The system doesn't remember the password. The curious fact is that my iPad 2 isn't affected by this bug. It is on iOS 5.1 too but I simply upgraded it from 5.0.1 without a clean install. Resetting network settings doesn't make it to work, the same with an hard reset.

I'm not understanding how to find the wi-fi password. When it finds a network, it asks me to enter a password. How do I know what to type in?? I have searched online and the darn user guide and everything just says 'type the password in'. What password?! Where do I find this? In the alternative, if it doesn't find a network it says "choose a network" and then wants a name/security/password.

Is there a way to connect my iPhone 4s to my wifi network without the password? This is my home network but unfortunately it was setup years ago and I have no way of getting the password for it. I've been able to connect my laptop to it without the password by pushing the button on the netgear router but it does not work when I try with my phone. My laptop and desktop are both connected and have iTunes so I was hoping I could do it that way but I've had no luck. I've also had no luck resetting the router and I'd rather not buy a new one.

new Torch is unable to associate with my work wifi network when it uses WEP password. If I change wifi network to WPA password, then it works (But I cannot change it because the network is unsing WDS and it isn't compatible with WPA).
My old BB Pearl 8120 works fine with same network using WEP password. Therefore, what's happenign with Torch wifi?. Is there any wifi upgrade for Torch? For your information, the wifi router is an SMC Barricade-N (SMCWBR14-N)
I have tried almost everything. I'm desesperate. Torch is giving connections problems also with my wifi home network and also with my bluetooth handfree car system. If there isn't a solution soon I will have to change it for another mobile.

My children are unable to connect their Blackberrys to the home network with this new router(Thomson Techni-color 582?). With the previous router (585?) all they had to do was scan for available networks and then when ours appeared they put in the password.But with this one when you scan and find the network and try to connect you get the message "this wireless router supports wi-fi protected setup. To connect using a PIN (which your Blackberry will generate), click Next". Then when you click Next you get an 8 number code. it doesn't give you the opportunity to put in the network password.Please tell me how to connect the Blackberrys to our network.

When I put my new sim card in (brand new sim, never been used), my phone registerd me on the verizon wireless network, even though I am livning in south africa with a south african sim card. I can send sms and make phone calls, but that it is! Before I did my sim swop and system update, everythin worked fine on this phone. I cant bbm, use the internet etc etc.I have tried everything. Tried to resend registerstation message, manually connected to 3G vodacom network and resent registration msg. I have called my service provider. I have rebooting. I even tryed restoring data from a recent backup i did when my phone worked, and that did nothing. EVERYTHING, and im on my final straw. I just want a working phone.

Both operate on orange networks. My old BB was v4 new BB is v5.I have a personal email address, and 5 work email accounts - all of which have worked perfectly fine on the old BB. However when trying to add them to the new BB, although my personal account has been accepted, when trying to input my work email I keep getting a message that the password is not correct (which I know it is. I have even tried resetting my work email password on the email server).The email accounts were removed from the old BB when it was given to my son, and although they have worked on that BB for 2 years, I tried reloading them on his BB - but now have the same error message of incorrect password.I have surfed the net and can see this seems to be an issue, mostly for gmail accounts (My work email is not a gmail account) - but no specific response on how to resolve it. I have carried out all the checks such as making sure keyboard is set to right language, and font does not automatically set capitals as first letter, so that isnt the problem.The phone is primarily for business use - so I absolutely have to resolve this.
