I entered a password for my wi-fi network into my iphone4 and can't remember it to enter it into other devices. Is there a way to see the password on the iPhone?

I just got a new Galaxy S6 edge but it doesn't remember the WiFi passwords that I enter. I have moved from my parents house and It dosnt remeber the password of my new house but it remembers my parents password. I had Galaxy s5 with the same problem. I sync. everything from my Galaxy s5.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have changed my router; all my devices (2 x iPad, Blackberry, Samsung TV) have seen and remembered this as my new network and are working fine, however, my 2 x iPhones (1 x iPhone3, 1 iPhone4 both with ios5.1) will not 'remember' this new network. They see it fine and and I can login and use it fine, but I am asked for the password every time. I have reset networks, but couldn't 'forget this network' as the option is not available. This is strange and is frustrating me as I can't understand why all works fine on my brand-new iPad3s!

Why my iphone doesn't remember my NETGEAR wifi password? I have a router in my home and I have to select my network "Netgear" each time I arrive home and complete the password. I just "upgraded" my wi-fi router to a Netgear WNDR3400. Everything seems to be set up fine, and I'm able to connect with our various iphones, ipads, and AppleTV. But our iphones won't automatically re-connect to the network after the connection is lost, and we have to re-enter the password when we re-connect.

After a clean install (restored as a new iPhone) of iOS 5.1 on my iPhone 3GS it keeps asking me the wifi network password every time I want to connect. The system doesn't remember the password. The curious fact is that my iPad 2 isn't affected by this bug. It is on iOS 5.1 too but I simply upgraded it from 5.0.1 without a clean install. Resetting network settings doesn't make it to work, the same with an hard reset.

I'm not understanding how to find the wi-fi password. When it finds a network, it asks me to enter a password. How do I know what to type in?? I have searched online and the darn user guide and everything just says 'type the password in'. What password?! Where do I find this? In the alternative, if it doesn't find a network it says "choose a network" and then wants a name/security/password.

Is there a way to connect my iPhone 4s to my wifi network without the password? This is my home network but unfortunately it was setup years ago and I have no way of getting the password for it. I've been able to connect my laptop to it without the password by pushing the button on the netgear router but it does not work when I try with my phone. My laptop and desktop are both connected and have iTunes so I was hoping I could do it that way but I've had no luck. I've also had no luck resetting the router and I'd rather not buy a new one.

My old BB Pearl 8120 works fine with same network using WEP password. Therefore, what's happenign with Torch wifi?. Is there any wifi upgrade for Torch? For your information, the wifi router is an SMC Barricade-N (SMCWBR14-N)
I have tried almost everything. I'm desesperate. Torch is giving connections problems also with my wifi home network and also with my bluetooth handfree car system. If there isn't a solution soon I will have to change it for another mobile.
