Jun 15, 2010My Ovi suite says there is no firmware update for my 5530. The latest is v. 20. Is my US 5530 not included in the new v. 30 update?

Apr 5, 2010I have this inconvenience with my wi-fi on my mobile. I just got it brand new the other day and have been happy with it. But it seems my wi-fi is always connected with my home router, even if i disconnect it, it reconnects a minute later. Problem: BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) occurs constantly.
I think the problem is the phone drivers (via cable). The program itself shouldn't be it.I made a system recovery, which worked. And my computer was restored. But when I tried once again the same problem occurred.
How can I use the phone with the computer without getting the BSOD?

May 19, 2010I have downloaded and installed the latest Nokia OVI Suite. My phone (E72 - 1, ver 031.023) connects perfectly etc. My problem is that I want to install the latest ovi maps for my phone. Now, according to OVI Suite, my phone has "ALL" maps on it. But I cant see them (when accessing GPS)
Secondly, OVI Suite tells me: your computer is not connected to then internet, when I clearly am. Are there any settings I need to adjust so that the program "Sees" my connection? I cannot connect thorugh my device, as it always tells me: Unable to establish network connection. Please check that your settings are correct etc..." what settings? where do I adjust these?

Apr 1, 2010PC Suite initiated internet connection via USB. PC Suite provides 3 connection options to 3 UK same problem with all 3. Connection starts and works well. After a random period of time (1 second to several hours) all web pages hang. PC Suite "One Touch Access" shows as still connected. Windows 7 network monitor shows no network activity even when you try to refresh web pages. Solution is to press disconnect and then connect on the One Touch Access screen.

While I'm at work I use the data cable normally to connect the phone to pc suite and I use pc suite to respond to sms etc. However I notice the E52 also charges on usb. I love this feature but I wanted to ask will this decrease the battery life or shorten its life span. I would like sure answers if possible and not just hunches as I really dont want to damage the battery.

Aug 20, 2010I've had my e72 since February, but I only just finally got around to downloading ovi suite on my PC. installation was fine, then it came to the part where it says to connect the phone, so I did that, but nothing happened. the thing on the PC said that I should select 'ovi suite' or 'PC suite' when it appears on the phone, but the home screen was blank. i've tried connecting it many times and still nothing. the phone lights up when i connect it to the computer, but it doesn't prompt me for the connection mode. i've checked the settings (currently on usb conn. mode: PC suite / ask on conn.: yes) but it's not asking me on connection, nor is there any indication on the ovi suite program that it is connected.

Jun 18, 2010I used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)

I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.

Apr 15, 2010Have a N900. Got the phone to work against Smart Suite and later Ovis Suite very well for the first 3 weeks. Then the trouble started. I used it both with USB cable and BTooth. First my synchronization with Lotus Notes calendar stopped (have to go by the PC), then contacts and messages. And today it does not even recognize the phone as a compatible phone. In the whole period I have been installing all kind of applications. My suspicion is that the trouble is due to an installation of a particular application - my question is:Anyone that got an idea what might have caused this?? Mar 23, 2015Recently spent a long time outdoors in the rain, but phone was never wet. Got home and when I tried to charge it, it wouldn't work. Then when I finally got it to charge (left it overnight) it had only charged to 50% and would stop immediately after reaching 50%. Now the "USB connector connected" notification randomly shows up, even when the phone is not connected to anything. Several seconds later it says it's disconnected. Is the phone damaged, or is it my charger? Just bought another battery on amazon and an external charger in case it's the phone. I read somewhere to hard reset it but I have too much stuff to back-up. If nothing else works, I'll have to do it, but I'm saving that as a last resort.

Dec 12, 2011i have collected probably 15 different chargers the last couple of years that I use at various locations to charge my Blackberry, iPhone, and a couple of Samsung Google Nexus Phones. That is every device other than the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and the Torch before that. I get the familiar message "the charging source connected to your blackberry device cannot charge your battery", except when connected to RIM manufactured charger or fortunately the USB port on my laptop. How in the world can every phone other than RIM's Blackberry take a charge from the various power sources without problem. I had the problem to some degree on the Torch, but figured RIM would catch on and get it fixed. Now I have the new Bold 9900 and it does not even work on my trusted 12V car charger. If 4 or 5 different devices work with multiple chargers and the Bold 9900 does not work on any it has to be a RIM and BLACKBERRY problem.Maybe the guys in Waterloo are just totally insulated from the rest of the world and only own BlackBerry phones with Blackberry chargers and believe there is not a problem. At least it appear that way with this charger issue and several other issues, but I won't get deeper into that here?
