Apr 3, 2012My husband and I recently purchased the iPhone 4S. Exact same phone. His will connect to the home WiFi, but mine won't.Any ideas on why? We checked the settings and both have the same settings on our phone. It will bring up the WiFi name, and when I add the password, it says that I am unable to join.

Apr 5, 2012I've been using my MacBook Pros, iPads, and iPhones for years with no WiFi issues. Now suddenly, every time I return home with my iPhone, my WiFi connection is lost on ALL of my devices — even the MacBook Pro and iPad, which both remain at home.
So every time I return home, I have to shut everything off, unplug my Airport Express, unplug my modem, plug them both back in, and restart my three devices.

Jun 17, 2014I've been using my Wifi connection (from home) lately, I had no troubles what-so-ever. I turned on my 3G network this morning, and again, everything's going perfectly fine with my connection. I came home around half 4 from school and decided to turn on my WiFi connection at home, what I've realized is that whenever I try turning on my WiFi network, the little sign that's usually at the top doesn't appear anymore. I tried resetting the network settings and closing and opening my phone, but.. This didn't really make any difference.I have tried reconnecting to my WiFi but nothing happened, my Bluetooth's never really turned on.

I have uninstalled all apps and still no solution. I know others on here have had similar problems has a solution been found. I have switched the Wifi sleep to never. I have installed wifi fix which resolves it temporarily but then the connection falls off.

Sep 3, 2010Really loving this phone (8520) and a massive leap from my last phone.
Having trouble with connecting to my or my works wifi. It registers both routers and displays the name across at the top of the phone and in wifi settings I have a black square with a white dash line and a green wifi symbol.
I have a Asda pay as you go sim which is fine for the calls text etc but I hearing not so good for the Internet.
I have managed to get the browser going with the Hotspot setting but I'm guessing this isn't using my home wifi as it as slow as a snail and keeps cutting out.
Without Hotspot enabled it tries to use VodaphoneLive and I get the message "unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider"

Mar 10, 2010I've recently bought a Nokia 5800 xm and have been able to connect it to my home internet using the wlan wifi.
I can only use the wifi if i go to settings>connectivity>wlan. If i go straight to internet, it tries to connect to t-mobile internet. This also happens when trying to use applications such as bbc iplayer and the ovi store.
Is there a way of setting the wifi connection as the default connection? If not, is there a way of setting up my applications so they connect using wifi?

Apr 8, 2012I accidentally dropped my iPhone 4 in a toilet the other day. I dried it out and everything works except for the wifi connection. I went to go to connect to wifi and not a single network showed up so I typed in the wifi name and password and it said it couldn't locate it. I used the wifi connection in my house while I was in in my house. I have also tried restoring it but that didn't work. Is there any way to fix this or can I send it in to get it fixed?

Jun 12, 2012I just bought my iPhone 4S for AT&T today, and as I came home I connected to my home Wi-Fi (I just had the iPhone 4 for Verzion a couple days ago and it was working fine in my house), I connected, and it worked, but my Wi-Fi randomly cuts off now. For example, I'm connected to Wi-Fi, but I open an app, a second later it'll go back to the 4G sign and then back to the Wi-Fi symbol within a few seconds. It's very on and off, every 20-30 seconds it does this. Why does my phone keep disconnecting then reconnecting to my Wi-Fi?

Sep 2, 2014I have had my Iphone 5 for around 16 months and the internet connection; whether it be by WIFI or 3G has always worked perfectly; until now.I know it can't be my router at home, as I have the same problem if I'm at work and it also affects the 3G.
My phone will have full WIFI signal but will stop connecting to any websites or give me internet access. If I turn the phone OFF and then ON again, it fixes the problem for around 15mins or so, and then revert back to the same problem of not connecting.I have tried resetting the network settings and reset to factory settings, but neither do any good.
