I have nokia 5800 it have a problem the time cannot be set it just say ** system error**. Now I can't even install whatsapp on it. I think its because of the time settings. I did reset the phone still no change....
View 2 RepliesI've been using my Nokia C5-00 for about a year now without any problems. Recently however, it started to show wrong time (like it was going too fast). The offset is usually about 15-30 minutes forward. Initially I thought that its just few seconds per minute faster than it should be (like a normal mechanism watch) and I tried to explain it with processor clock being somehow off, but I noticed that it must at one point just skip these several minutes.
I've never spotted this "skipping" explicitly but it happens once per 10-15 hours, I guess. E.g. it shows proper time the whole day and when I go to sleep but next morning its off several minutes. It happens both with automatic time update On and Off. I haven't updated my software for a couple of months now, but the one I got is up to date (according to Ovi).
Everytime i open ovi maps and try to go online i get the error message 'something went wrong and the connection failed'?
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.
I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.
There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.
Every time I open my gallery an error pops up "Gallery: System Error (-28)" and some items in the gallery duplicating. Phone Model: 5800 XM.

I had that problem three times now, this is third. Last two times I did *#7370# reset code and camera worked fine for a while, but the problem comes back. I was deleting some apps from app manager and I accidentally had to delete something important because from that moment my Maps aren't working. I got System error second after loading starts. I upgrades my soft - didn't work. I deleted the maps and install it again - didn't work. I soft resetted my phone - didn't work. I formatted memory card - didn't work, I always get this System Error.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my N8 to Anna. Could not do the 1/2, everything else worked fine. Finally got the 1/2 to work, ever since had nothing but problems. Whenever I start the phone I get 3 or 4 system error messages. After hitting ok, I can access most of my phone. I cannot access my contacts from the home screen. I can only go into the call screen, which does not allow me to add a new contact or edit. I have tried both the hard and soft reboots and tried to re-install but it has only gotten worse. I kinda need to access my contacts for work.

Moreover, at startup a pop up appears with the new sms messages, but it starts looping and the only way to turn it off is to press the menu button and change view.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently bought Nokia 5800XM and I have small problem. When I try to use Ovi maps and select My location it points me out to some place in London. First of all I thought its a problem with the GPS so I installed Google maps to check. The result was - Google maps application properly found my exact location(Sofia, Bulgaria, even the street was correct).Then I tried to remove all the maps and voice guidance files from my phone and installed ONLY the Bulgaria map and Bulgarian voice guidance file. However when I selected "My location" the GB(London) map was downloaded and the again I was pointed to some random location in London...
My phone software is updated to 50.0.005 and my Ovi Maps version is 3.04(updated today). Only Assisted GPS and Integrated GPS are enabled in App>Location>Positioning>Positioning Methods. I use the WAP services(HSDPA) provided by my operator(Mtel BG) to connect to internet.Is this some kind of hardware problem(in other words should I return my phone to the vendor) ? Or Ovi Maps are still in beta(or alpha) stage and can't be used for proper navigation ?
I have a N97. I am new to Ovi maps 3.0.3. My question is how come when i open the map, the position is wrong. I live in chicago, but the map is showing up Washington, Dc. area.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have iOS 7.1.2. I have an iPhone 5 64 GB with Verizon. I wished to restore my phone to a previous time. I have a backup file from December 6th 2014, November 27 2014, and January 1 2014. The backup files are anywhere from 30-35 GB. When I attempt to restore my phone, it takes a long time, typically 4ish hours. I have tried multiple backups and am getting the same error Â
It will run fine the ENTIRE time, then when it gets to 0 minutes left and completes, I get an error. It tells me that the backup is corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that I am using. All of these backup files were created within Itunes. All of these backup files were created with the same phone I am trying to restore to. I have no other iphones, iPad, or apple devices. I am restoring from a PC with an Intel i7 processor. I am running no other programs while iTunes is restoring and I have updated to the most current version of iTunes.Â
Why are my backups considered corrupt or incompatible and how do I fix this?Would updating my phone to iOS 8 hinder this?Is there a program or way that I can get the data/photos from the backup files.

Has anyone else had issues with the Lumia 920 showing the wrong date and time? I entered both manually when I first set up the phone as the automatic setting did not work. After a couple days I noticed that the date had changed to 1st Sep 2012 and the time was a couple of hours out. I corrected but again a couple of days later the clock is a couple of hours slow and the date was 3 weeks out. I then changed the settings to "automatic" turned the phone off and on again and the date is a week behind and the time is 3 hours fast.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Lumia 800 and have discovered a bug where the recipient name is wrong if contacts have very similar phone numbers. Example:
I have two contacts with the following phone numbers
Contact 1. - 0703 246 802
Contact 2. - 0705 246 802
Note that the only thing differing the contacts is 0703 from 0705.
Regardless of whom of these two I send a text message they always show as being sent to Contact 1. This includes any History as well, they are all grouped into Contact 1 regardless of to which phone number I send the text message to. This is very annoying and it makes it impossible to see who actually had the message sent to when looking back at the history. I have tried moving the numbers around to different contact categories, changing contact name and so on, but it has made no difference to the behavior.
