After updating to FP2 the phone was working well but after some days each time i boot up the device it always says "System error"i tried to hard rest the device but that didn't work ,also i tried reinstalling the software via nokia suite but with no luck so: if i reflashed the phone myself will that void my warranty?

I have carried out a *#7370# and reinstalled the full firmware image from Nokia Suite (twice) and am still getting the same issues. This occurs without doing any restore at all of previous files.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi'm continously getting a 'system error' message whenever i try to install some apps, such as nokia battery monitor, Internet downloader and fmobi. this occurence only began recently after updating to symbian anna. i've installed many other apps and can still install other apps but i seem to have a problem with a select few. i have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the apps and also done a delete and restore after backup but still no change.

-Firmware is updated
-soft reset done
-it seems that the app is not installed
-have deleted the cities folder and the qf file
Unfortunately no change maps app does not start. Not sure that this is important but I want to mention this for the sake of completeness.
-the maps did work once
-when I started them the next day and I was at a different location it still showed the location of the
previous evening abnd did not recognize where the phone was
-after some time I could not start the the maps app.
I was deleting some apps from app manager and I accidentally had to delete something important because from that moment my Maps aren't working. I got System error second after loading starts. I upgrades my soft - didn't work. I deleted the maps and install it again - didn't work. I soft resetted my phone - didn't work. I formatted memory card - didn't work, I always get this System Error.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my N8 to Anna. Could not do the 1/2, everything else worked fine. Finally got the 1/2 to work, ever since had nothing but problems. Whenever I start the phone I get 3 or 4 system error messages. After hitting ok, I can access most of my phone. I cannot access my contacts from the home screen. I can only go into the call screen, which does not allow me to add a new contact or edit. I have tried both the hard and soft reboots and tried to re-install but it has only gotten worse. I kinda need to access my contacts for work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the Belle upgrade for some reason and very randomly I start receiving a "system error" at startup. Phone freezes and have to be restarted. It happens 1:100 but it happens.
Moreover, at startup a pop up appears with the new sms messages, but it starts looping and the only way to turn it off is to press the menu button and change view.
Im getting this problem since 2 days now. When I send a text message to anyone, I get an error saying ''Messaging: Feature Not Supported". After quite a few attempts the message finally is sent but I dont receive any delivery report even though I have enabled that option. And when I check the sent items or conversations, the recipient is totally someone else! I tried soft reset and the problem solved. But now it came up again. Soft resetting my phone every day is not an option.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Nokia N97 Mini handset and I am facing problem in it with Battery Low error message, when ever I call someone or I receive any call.Battery works fine in case of standby mode, or even when I do SMS chat for whole day. Even if I listen to music for 10 to 12 hrs, the mobile works fine, no issue of battery low. But during that if I receive any call, then suddenly it displays the battery low error message and the mobile is switched off.I try to check everything of it. The mobile functions normal and in good condition in following cases
1. Wife Connectivity
2. Bluetooth data transfer
3. Sms chat for lets say 12 to 14 hrs.
4. Video play for 2 hrs.
5. Music plays for 10 to 12 hrs.
6. Clicking photos or recording Videos.
7. Browsing internet.
But it only falls down in case of Call. Either I receive call or make a call. I don't know how to Rectify this problem. I had once shown to Nokia customer care, but even after that the problem still remains.I even try factory restore settings and hard format of OS. But still no improvements.
I have been using my N8 for one year. I have not faced any problem so far except this one. For the last couple of days, Whenever I start to speak on the phone , in a few seconds time, call ends and I get same message."CONNECTION ERROR"

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Pearl 8100 and am running BB Messenger 4.2.1. Once or twice a day as I start to type in a message it stops and gives me the error message "Input System Error. The system is being restarted." It won't do anything but that if I try typing so I pull the battery and it returns to normal. Also, more than a couple times a day when I send a message, it hangs and won't send. Yesterday it looked like a message didn't send, but my friend responded and said it came through.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to change the system font on my Nokia N8 because I don't like it. I don't find it comfortable to read, and I especially don't like that *everything* takes on this font - even web pages which use their own font, in the N8 browser this is always changed to Nokia's font! My research seems to have offered me three options for changing the font.
Method 1: Installing a couple of unsigned apps that apparently only actually works on S60 smartphones and is likely to just not work or even break the N8.
Method 2: Involves copying some fonts renamed to a specific folder on a memory card - however for some bizarre reason if you do this you can no longer access the Ovi Store!
Method 3: Installing an application from the Ovi Store that is designed to let you change the system font, however no one who mentions this says what this app is called so I fear they may be talking nonsense and no such app exists!
So is there any way to change the N8 font that actually works and doesn't mess up the phone?
I bought my N8 in the Caribbean as I was living there in the time, and unfortunately the system locale is in US English. I really don't like using it in US English, and prefer to use UK English. Is there a way of changing the language and settings to UK from US?
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since I've upgraded my E72 to version 51, phone tends to crash almost every time I turn on WLAN scanning, displaying a System Error message, forcing me to lose all my data, including applications I've paid for.From what I've read here on the forums, I understand that reverting to factory settings might fix this issue, but I don't that I should not be forced to lose everything on my device due to Nokia's incompetence, especially since I have no guarantee that this issue will not show up again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy E63 has just started to show 'system error' when I'm trying to enter a 'to do' appointment in my calendar.The IT guy at work recently updated my 'mail for exchange' settings and had set the phone up to sync mail, contacts and calendar - I usually only sync mail so I turned off the syncing of contacts and calander. Does anyone know if this would cause the error? I've attempted to do a reset using *#7780# 12345 as mentioned elsewhere on this forum but the phone tells me that if wil restore ALL factory settings before I get as far as entering 12345. View 3 Replies View RelatedWas happily plugging away at my three-day-old N97 and decided to purchase the upgrade for the QuickOffice suite of apps that came preinstalled. Installed the new version, at the end of which the Installer requested a phone restart.When it was starting up, a message stating "system error" popped up. Ever since, I cannot get into the Menu screen, since the same message appears, with an "Ok" item to press. The phone apperas to be working just fine and I can even get into apps by configuring one of the shortcuts in the Standby screen. After backing it up, tried uninstalling all the apps I had recently added, to no avail. In desperation, even reinstalled the firmware via the firmware updater module of the PC Suite, no avail! What should I try to get it back to 100%?
