Cseries :: Nokia C7 Won't Turn On - Pressing Power Button Triggers Vibra
Dec 1, 2010My C7 froze to the point where it was necessary to pull out and reinsert the battery.
Unfortunately now I can't turn it back on. Pressing POWER button triggers vibra, but the screen remains dark and nothing happens after that.
I tried removing the batteries, plugged it in the wall, removed SIM card, I also tried hard reset key combination suggested in in this thread (Volume Down + Camera Key + Menu Key and press power button).
On a general note, the phone was freezing a lot. I noticed that especially when trying to connect to my work wlan (not very stable hot spot).

Feb 10, 2011Is there any shortcut to accessing the menu besides pressing the button? It seems like mine may be getting worn out. Sometimes I need to press it more than once.

Jan 25, 2010Was happily plugging away at my three-day-old N97 and decided to purchase the upgrade for the QuickOffice suite of apps that came preinstalled. Installed the new version, at the end of which the Installer requested a phone restart.When it was starting up, a message stating "system error" popped up. Ever since, I cannot get into the Menu screen, since the same message appears, with an "Ok" item to press. The phone apperas to be working just fine and I can even get into apps by configuring one of the shortcuts in the Standby screen. After backing it up, tried uninstalling all the apps I had recently added, to no avail. In desperation, even reinstalled the firmware via the firmware updater module of the PC Suite, no avail! What should I try to get it back to 100%?

Dec 17, 2011Just today my Nokia C6-00 is hanging a lot...I didn't install any third party updates or packages.longback I installed few apps from ovi store and they were working fine..From today, don't know what happened, when I switch on my phone , it hangs for around 15 minutes. It's really unbearable when I wanted to switch to a different sim card in emergency...When the phone starts, it is just hanging.At first it shows : system error Then when I press ok, its gone and now the phone becomes unresponsive..When I press and hold the menu key, it shows different apps being loaded...First clock gets loaded and its gone.then contacts...then something called securewidget installer comes and it stays for 5 mins or so...then again fsmailserver comes and this one really stays so long that irritates me a lot...I tried to restore factory settings, it worked 2 or 3 times, but again then phone hangs when I restart it...

I assumed it had to do with the theme I had installed, as my brother's phone (which has no theme) gave him the option to explore the media folder. I removed the theme and reset defaults but still no option to explore. I wanted to rename some of my media files by accessing the files folder in the application folder but when I want to rename it warns that changing it will make it unreadable.

I installed villaintweaks 1.3.1 as I was told there was a fix fire this. I installed the noise cancellation fix.... But still it remReally would like to get this echo. I don't like having to keep pressing menu-noise reduction off during every call.Also notice that if I remove my protective case the echo disappears completely....but I don't want to leave the phone unprotected.Also, is it possible to fully remove villaintweaks and all of its data(and tweaks that I installed) from the phone? Now I have a really annoying bug: the menu key, sometimes, stops working and won't bring up the menu if pressed briefly, and won't bring up the task list either (when pressed long). Anyone experiencing this bug? The only way I found to make it work again is turn off and on again my phone... And the task list can't be found in menus, AFAIK. I could do that with my old 5800XM...
I bought my phone ONE WEEK ago... I really wouldn't like to format/reinstall already!

Jul 1, 2010It keeps telling me that the c: memory is full and that i should delete some items, however when i try to, there is hardly anything on the c:. Also the phone only works sporadically for about five minutes after switching on and after that the menu button and the touch screen do not work properly and i am unable to make any calls or texts, but can still recieve calls.
Also it is telling me that the sim memory is full and remains full despite deleting text messages. Has anyone else experienced such problems or know how i can fix these problems?

When I pull the battery out, and leave it out for whatever length of time (I tried 10-20 min), as soon as the battery is back in, it turns itself on.As of the last few days, it has decided than when I place it on a table, or sometimes just getting moved around in my pocket, it wants to restart...
I do NOT want to send it back to manufacturer, as they will give me a $4 phone to use, and still charge me data rates and all that for 8 weeks.... But is there a fix for this, like a program or something that alters what the power button does? Can I disable the power button at all? Other than this issue, my phone is awesome! And if there IS a way of disabling, is there a way I can shut down not using this button, like if my phone freezes or something, besides pulling the battery?

Galaxy S6 :: Back Button Pressing Itself Constantly?
Jul 20, 2015I have recently bought a galaxy S6 T-mobile black sapphire and been using it for 2 weeks but the back button starts pressing itself randomly and everything just back out to home screen. I couldn't do anything else except for accepting calls.
I scanned through the web and found some has encountered the same issue but I haven't found a real solution. I'm actually new at rooting and flashing things to phone. My phone is unlocked and rooted. I did things like - factory reset and asked someone to flash the stock rom for me but the ghost pressing is still there so i'm thinking that i should completely the back button and use an app for replacement. However I don't know how to disable the back soft key.
IPhone :: Texting - 3G - Pressing SEND Button Nothing Happens
May 12, 2010I have one of the earlier 3G 8gig phones but it is in perfect working order/perfect shape/etc so I havent felt the need to upgrade. The ONLY problem I have ever had with this phone is that many times when I am sending out a text, after typing it, when pressing the SEND button, nothing happens. I can press and press and press and it wont go anywhere.
This only happens when I have about 3-4 other messages either in or out still in my box. There is no problem with my memory so the earlier messages shouldnt affect it, but they seem to. So, if i am having a conversation, I have to keep deleting all messages other than the last 2 or so OR i run into this problem. I had hoped ages ago whatever bug this is would be fixed by an update but it hasn't. And its becoming more and more annoying as I need to save certain messages but to do so ensures I cant send out a text.
