Is there any shortcut to accessing the menu besides pressing the button? It seems like mine may be getting worn out. Sometimes I need to press it more than once.
View 1 Repliesnot sure if my device is operating correctly so want to check with others here. i'm using the default 'precision zen' theme and when pressing the 'menu' button, the clock is displayed next to the battery icon with the network name in the middle on the same line as the wifi icon.is that correct? i was sure the clock wasn't over to the left before!

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded from a Curve to a Torch 9850. I have had the new phone for nearly 3 weeks and noticed that occasionally the back button and menu button would not work. In the beginning it was once or twice a day but this weekend it has been an all day event. The phone is fairly useless like this. It occurs with all applications as well as text and BB messenger.

When you are composing email/txt msg, once you touch the "send" icon on touchscreen the msg will just be sent immediately. I hate this because I might hit it randomly. Is there any way to add a confirmation window there?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy menu button loads my 'phone' and not the menu for the phone. I cannot access the menu that includes: hide, move, open tray etc. I cleaned up the phone and uploaded the newest software via the BB desktop application software. I ended up cleaning it up so well it seemed to go back to factory settings as I lost all my apps. It seemed to solve the problem though and I got my menu button to work properly again. I have since uploaded App World and a new theme. The button still worked properly for 24 hours. Today, I turn it on and all is working well but the menu button loads my phone again. Do you understand that the menu does not load, but rather the 'phone' menu pops up as though I'd pressed the phone icon. I wonder if the 'flex ribbon cable' underneath the buttons is misaligned somehow and when I press the menu key, it is loading the green telephone key menu because of malfunction of the ribbon.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with the menu/BlackBerry button (whatever it's called) The button seems to be stuck. So when I push it the menu will come up but it will automatically do what is highlighted, which is often close or open the tray if on the home screen. If I lock the phone it will darken but then lighten up as if I have pressed the button, but I haven't. It will say screen locked but will continously darken and lighten back up.
I was having this issue a little while ago and even took my phone apart to clean as I thought that was the issue but it did not help. Then I needed to charge it, which I normally do by plug in, but this time I used usb to computer. There seemed to be a substantial update for my phone which once completed fixed the issue with the button. Which was a huge relief as I was thinking I would have to pay somebody to fix and I don't want to do that. It is very pricey.
Well today it started back up. I connected it to the computer but it said there were no updates and did not fix the button problem. And yes I have tried battery pull.
I've tried to access the email options menu in several different ways and can't. It has been missing since I first received the phone some months ago and no one can tell me why. What can I do to remedy this?

My 8520 curve doesn't allow me the option to explore when pressing the menu key. I assumed it had to do with the theme I had installed, as my brother's phone (which has no theme) gave him the option to explore the media folder. I removed the theme and reset defaults but still no option to explore. I wanted to rename some of my media files by accessing the files folder in the application folder but when I want to rename it warns that changing it will make it unreadable.

I installed villaintweaks 1.3.1 as I was told there was a fix fire this. I installed the noise cancellation fix.... But still it remReally would like to get this echo. I don't like having to keep pressing menu-noise reduction off during every call.Also notice that if I remove my protective case the echo disappears completely....but I don't want to leave the phone unprotected.Also, is it possible to fully remove villaintweaks and all of its data(and tweaks that I installed) from the phone? Would a normal uninstall work, or would I have to do something else.

Whenever I select "Options" from the BB Menu button's drop down list on my Torch 9800, the screen flashes, then goes back to my home screen. It has been this way for quite a while (nearly a year) and I am thinking that there is a permission that was inadverdently disabled. It does not work whether i use the native BB6 theme or others i have downloaded. how to make "Options" option start working again?

I have recently bought a galaxy S6 T-mobile black sapphire and been using it for 2 weeks but the back button starts pressing itself randomly and everything just back out to home screen. I couldn't do anything else except for accepting calls.
I scanned through the web and found some has encountered the same issue but I haven't found a real solution. I'm actually new at rooting and flashing things to phone. My phone is unlocked and rooted. I did things like - factory reset and asked someone to flash the stock rom for me but the ghost pressing is still there so i'm thinking that i should completely the back button and use an app for replacement. However I don't know how to disable the back soft key.
I have one of the earlier 3G 8gig phones but it is in perfect working order/perfect shape/etc so I havent felt the need to upgrade. The ONLY problem I have ever had with this phone is that many times when I am sending out a text, after typing it, when pressing the SEND button, nothing happens. I can press and press and press and it wont go anywhere.
This only happens when I have about 3-4 other messages either in or out still in my box. There is no problem with my memory so the earlier messages shouldnt affect it, but they seem to. So, if i am having a conversation, I have to keep deleting all messages other than the last 2 or so OR i run into this problem. I had hoped ages ago whatever bug this is would be fixed by an update but it hasn't. And its becoming more and more annoying as I need to save certain messages but to do so ensures I cant send out a text.
My iPhone 5's lock button keeps 'pressing itself' whilst I am using my phone. For example if I open my phone by pressing the home button, my phone will screen shot my home screen, as if I have also pressed the lock button which, of course, I haven't. Also, when I am using my phone it will just stop and go to the screen which says 'slide to power off', again as if I've held down the lock button.

My daughters curve is only 6 months old but has been some very strange things in the last week, firstly it keeps taking hundreds of photographs without any buttons being pressed, its impossible to stop until it stops itself. When I swipe passcode dots screen is only black. When I connect to PC with USB Phone is detected but I cannot access phone or SD Card. PC Companion cannot detect anything.As for incoming Calls people say they get message as mobile switched off.I feel sorry that I did not go thru discussions in this forum before buying this costly mobile.Can I get free replacement or can I have different model in place of this mobile?I am ready to pay the difference of price if it is on higher side.
