Is there a way to switch between the action of the short / long pressing of the settings button (Square button)?
I want it to show settings menu when I Single click, and show the Applications when I Long press, not the other way around like it is now.
does any one notice that pressing the Call / Green button is a little more stiffer than pressing the Call End / Red button? are there any other experiences ? currently running tanks newest hybrid

Long pressing the Power Key to capture the screen shot or any other purpose, my mobile starts playing ringtone. I dont see any option to stop it. The only option is to restart the phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince my E71 was updated to the latest firmware (at a Nokia Service Center) around 6 months ago I have had a number of odd mail problems, which manifest themselves as follows: After an initial boot everything with mail and messaging works fine as expected. However at least once or twice a day the phone switches unpredictably into an odd mode with the following symptoms:
1) E-Mail key stops responding to short or long presses.
2) New e-mails and sms messages which arrive do not appear on the home screen as usual, though they may (or may not) appear as small icons in the top right corner of the screen............
My iPhone 6 sometimes (very rare) does not wake from sleep when pressing either the sleep button nor home button.

I have recently bought a galaxy S6 T-mobile black sapphire and been using it for 2 weeks but the back button starts pressing itself randomly and everything just back out to home screen. I couldn't do anything else except for accepting calls.
I scanned through the web and found some has encountered the same issue but I haven't found a real solution. I'm actually new at rooting and flashing things to phone. My phone is unlocked and rooted. I did things like - factory reset and asked someone to flash the stock rom for me but the ghost pressing is still there so i'm thinking that i should completely the back button and use an app for replacement. However I don't know how to disable the back soft key.
I have one of the earlier 3G 8gig phones but it is in perfect working order/perfect shape/etc so I havent felt the need to upgrade. The ONLY problem I have ever had with this phone is that many times when I am sending out a text, after typing it, when pressing the SEND button, nothing happens. I can press and press and press and it wont go anywhere.
This only happens when I have about 3-4 other messages either in or out still in my box. There is no problem with my memory so the earlier messages shouldnt affect it, but they seem to. So, if i am having a conversation, I have to keep deleting all messages other than the last 2 or so OR i run into this problem. I had hoped ages ago whatever bug this is would be fixed by an update but it hasn't. And its becoming more and more annoying as I need to save certain messages but to do so ensures I cant send out a text.
My iPhone 5's lock button keeps 'pressing itself' whilst I am using my phone. For example if I open my phone by pressing the home button, my phone will screen shot my home screen, as if I have also pressed the lock button which, of course, I haven't. Also, when I am using my phone it will just stop and go to the screen which says 'slide to power off', again as if I've held down the lock button.

Then(and more of a problem!) in the last couple of days my daughter can't even login, as soon as she tries to put her password in it errors straight away and says password incorrect after she has only put in one letter.

When I swipe passcode dots screen is only black. When I connect to PC with USB Phone is detected but I cannot access phone or SD Card. View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Blackberry Curve 8530 last month, and everything has been going smoothly up until the past week or so.Every time I hit the "End Call" button it results in the Blackberry typing out the letters "NM" repeatedly. If I keep hitting it, it just types out "Nmnmnmnmnmnmnm" ... I have tried a battery pull, multiple times. I've tried a software update. I don't know what else I can do to fix it.
It's driving me insane, I'm in love with my new BB (first time user!), but this is really killing the enjoyment. I've read about this problem with other phones and I'm worried it might move on to other letters and keys, forcing me to not be able to use the phone at all.If anybody can help me I'd greatly appreciate it. not sure if my device is operating correctly so want to check with others here. i'm using the default 'precision zen' theme and when pressing the 'menu' button, the clock is displayed next to the battery icon with the network name in the middle on the same line as the wifi icon.is that correct? i was sure the clock wasn't over to the left before!

I got my 1020 last week (Disclaimer: AT&T employee in a corporate store). It's great, except that I have to have my phone PIN locked. With the addition of the Nokia camera software and it being the default, I have to unlock my phone before it goes into the camera. If I switch the button to the standard WP camera app, I can take photos while unlocked.

When using my Edge or UC Browser I find that each time I press the BACK button on a page it sends me to the top of the screen I was previously on.
With my 920, and desktop browsers, when I press back it takes me to the location of the screen I was previously on. This is a huge inconvenience when the page I am browsing is long and I then need to scroll all the way back down to get to where I was before.
I also notice this to be the case on the Microsoft Sports app. The News app works properly but the Sports app, Edge, and UC Browser all exhibit this irritating trait.
Why does voice control keep opening up without pressing the home button? This happens when i'm listening to music or watching netflix. The songs will also skip and begin to fast forward without any buttons being pressed. I've done a restore on my iphone but this has not resolved the issue.

I'm facing a problem from 2 days. My 8500 curve freezes, and after I need push the red button for some seconds, after I can use it almost normally. Almost, because it seems the "o" key in the keyboard is pressed also when I don't press it. After some seconds, the things turn normally. I suspect a software problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy partner's Xperia Play decided not to boot this morning. (It was fine at 7.30 but by 8.30 it was dead). On pressing the power button, it vibrates for a few seconds but does not show any other sign of booting. He has tried removing the battery to boot it but to no avail. When he plugged it into his laptop, the machine failed to recognise the device. It just continuously made the device connect then device disconnect sounds. The laptop is only a couple of weeks old so I highly doubt that it's an issue with the USB ports. It does not detect the phone long enough to perform an update. Is it possible that the USB cable is faulty, or the USB port on the phone? Or could it be a compatibility issue with the laptop?

Just about set up how I like it. nnoyingly it has developed a problem where after playing with any app and pressing the home screen, 9 times out of 10 I get the white background with green HTC logo, then a "Loading..." message over the home screen. When I go back to the app I was *just using*, it acts as if I've opened it for the first time and forgets where I was, what pages I was on, which album I was currently listening to etc.I've tried a few things suggested by the Internet: - Restarting the phone (of course)- Removing all widgets from home screen in case one of them has crashed- Checking I am not regularly running out of ram- Checking I am not dangerously close to running out of iternal storage- Unmounting the SD card- Un-installed any app I've added in the past month- Checking none of the app icons have become duplicated on top of each other (??? hey I was getting desperate)I have also been keeping an eye on the Services tab but to be honest, things seem to restart so often in here that it is hard to identify which one is acting out of the ordinary.
I took this into the t-Mobile shop, explained that I know they are not HTC tech support but that they might have seen the issue before and have a bit of a clue with the phones they sell, explained what I'd done above and they came back with the most unhelpful of default cop-out answers: "Software update."Latest Android version available through t-mobile is 2.3.3 which I am on.TC Sense is at v2.1oes anyone have any ideas? I would really rather sort this out without having to factory reset my phone. Having a problem when I call people/receive calls. Everything's fine as long as I have it on loudspeaker or have the earphones in but as soon as I press the handset button I stop being able to hear anything (although the person at the other end can still hear me). Not sure if it's something I've caused by messing about with the settings as it hasn't always been like this, or if something's broke.

Unfortunately now I can't turn it back on. Pressing POWER button triggers vibra, but the screen remains dark and nothing happens after that.
I tried removing the batteries, plugged it in the wall, removed SIM card, I also tried hard reset key combination suggested in in this thread (Volume Down + Camera Key + Menu Key and press power button).
On a general note, the phone was freezing a lot. I noticed that especially when trying to connect to my work wlan (not very stable hot spot).
