Long pressing the Power Key to capture the screen shot or any other purpose, my mobile starts playing ringtone. I dont see any option to stop it. The only option is to restart the phone.
View 4 RepliesMy partner's Xperia Play decided not to boot this morning. (It was fine at 7.30 but by 8.30 it was dead). On pressing the power button, it vibrates for a few seconds but does not show any other sign of booting. He has tried removing the battery to boot it but to no avail. When he plugged it into his laptop, the machine failed to recognise the device. It just continuously made the device connect then device disconnect sounds. The laptop is only a couple of weeks old so I highly doubt that it's an issue with the USB ports. It does not detect the phone long enough to perform an update. Is it possible that the USB cable is faulty, or the USB port on the phone? Or could it be a compatibility issue with the laptop?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis morning the screen of my Z5 Compact starting coming back on after I press the Power Button to turn it off. It seems to be triggered by movement: If I'm holding the phone after pressing the PB, the screen comes back on immediately when my hand moves. If I place the phone flat on a table and press the PB, without additional movement, the screen stays off.
The screen stays off if allowed to Sleep past the set duration.
The past couple of days I've also been getting notifications that certain Apps are preventing Stamina mode from operating. This morning it was Facebook. Yesterday, it was another one I can't remember. Can these issues be related?
I would want to bring an issue to Sony's and all the Z2 users' notice that I am trying to observe a display burn in issue on pressing the power button while unlocking the phone a lot of times and this usually happens when I have set the brightness to adaptive. When I press the power button to unlock the screen, the colors burn for a second and the backlight comes to life with all the real colors the next second.
Its been happening quite a lot now and now I am atleast able to figure out that adaptive brightness is the culprit here. I am not sure is this another bug that sony needs to fix in lollipop or what it is? But just to mention, I have recently clean formatted my phone using the repair phone method on Sony PC companion and it has not worked to solve this issue. Lollipop is seriously making life bitter in a lot of ways than being sweet atleast for Z2 users like me. We would love to see the almost flawless Z2 back as it was on Kitkat 4.4.4.
Some days after I bought the Xperia X10, I realized I need to hold the power button lont time ti turn the X10 on, is it normal?

I bought the Z5 yesterday and if I hold down the power button, my ringtone starts playing. If I hold it down again, it will start playing again over the other ringtone and my only option is to use the rocker button to silence it but when I turn the volume back up it will still be playing so my only option to stop it is to restart. This is everytime I hold down the power button.

It's ok, because the phone is on silent, however, after it stops ringing, music starts playing and it's really loud. It plays through the phone speakers.Has anyone had an issue with this? I would love to resolve this issue asap because It's happened a number of times, especially when I don't want it to.

I am having trouble with my HTC Wildfire S since when I press the power button, the touch buttons switch on but the screen remains black. In order for the screen to appear, I either need to touch the screen or else wait for a few seconds until something comes up.

I'll listen to music on my blackberry while I'm at the gym and when I'm done I hit the stop button. Then I'll be standing in an elevator at work the next day and music will start randomly blasting from my phone. Needless to say this is rather embarrassing and obnoxious.

I dowloaded about 50 songs to my 16GB Motoactv. Listening today, random music starts playing. It is in MP3 mode and is not the radio. I scrolled through the songs on the device and music that I have never owned and never downloaded to the device is on the device.

I have to have the volume all the way down so it doesnt start to play music anymore.If I pause it from the lockscreen it won't start back up which is good. its done this before and stopped but now it's gone on for a week or 2 and it's just really annoying.

My C7 froze to the point where it was necessary to pull out and reinsert the battery.
Unfortunately now I can't turn it back on. Pressing POWER button triggers vibra, but the screen remains dark and nothing happens after that.
I tried removing the batteries, plugged it in the wall, removed SIM card, I also tried hard reset key combination suggested in in this thread (Volume Down + Camera Key + Menu Key and press power button).
On a general note, the phone was freezing a lot. I noticed that especially when trying to connect to my work wlan (not very stable hot spot).
Having issue when pressing the power button, the lockscreen will come back on for about 3 seconds and then turn off again. I can't figure out what is causing this to happen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have problem with waking the phone with power/lock button. Every few hours (for my usage once a day) the phone doesn't wake after locking. I have to press and hold power/lock button for a few seconds to manualy restart it. I know that N5 has notorious problems with power/lock button but as far as I know its problem with phone not going to sleep. I don't have problem with that.
I noticed this after an update to M. I am on XtraSmooth 29.10 build with RacerKernel 28.10. DT2W dissabled. Also i have the usual problem of turning screen on after calls. For me the phone sometimes doesn't turn on until the other person ends the call. Do I need to replace the power/lock button?

View 10 Replies View RelatedWeird glitch I noticed in the first 2-3 days post ICS. Everything seems to be normal with the phone, except for the fact that when I plug it into a charger, this will automatically trigger the device to start playing the same song. The song plays all the way through once and then ends, after which everything is normal again. While the song is playing, I can't determine which program is responsible for playing the music so that I can stop it. There is no app or icon that pops up to indicate that music is being played, it's just as if the music is being conjured out of thin air. If I try playing a track on either Google Music or My Music during this time, the second track will start playing at the same time as the first, almost as if the software doesn't recognize that another song is already playing.
Again, this only occurs when I plug the phone into a charger. Happens consistently whether it's a wall charger, usb or car charger. I've been searcing like crazy through Settings and Smart Actions to see what's causing it, but have come up empty so far. Tried rebooting a few times (both hard and soft reset), clearing out the cache....everything except a factory reset which I'd prefer to avoid if at all possible. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I've been scrolling through various message boards but haven't seen any examples of this yet.
I use Stitcher for podcasts and on my new Turbo I'm having an issue where it will start playing as soon as the screen turns off. As long as the app is open, as soon as the screen goes off, a podcast starts playing.

The best product to date i have used for tracking my gym session.I have noticed that everytime i press the power button, the volume increase and the music section starts ups. Very hard to track my gym work majority of the time as it stops the start button to work.I have updated to the latest version, no change in behaviour.Powering off is not an option as it automatically goes into bootloader mode, very hard to get it out of bootloader mode.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSimply put, my HTC One is vibrating.. all the time. As long as it has battery life it is consistently vibrating. I've tried turning all the vibration settings off, and i don't think that is going to affect it. Is there anyway to permanently disable the vibration? Is there anything else I could possibly do? My phone is past any sort of warranty, so I'd rather attempt to saving it before trying to buy a new one. Is there a way to possibly remove the vibrating hardware from the phone?

everytime i have the sound on on my phone and i get a text message i open the text but the ringtone keeps playing until its over. it doesn't stop when i open the message. My old one never did that not even when i first got it. i just got this one the other day in the mail because my old one fried itself. i have tried everything and i have no idea why it wont stop playing the ringtones.

Of course, this can be done by just playing repeatedly high pitched sounds, which, depending on the kind of mosquito you want to get rid off, may be in the range from 14 to 25 KHz.
Since I don't know whether playing so highly pitched sounds for a long time could damage the phone, I've asked the Italian support. They looked confused, indeed.
At first, they asked which app was I asking about and said that, anyway, all apps from the Market "are developed and managed directly by Google" (sic).
Then, when I pointed out that, put aside the fact that apps in the Market are not being developed by Google, I wasn't talking about apps and software but of particular sounds and hardware, they escalated the question to their technical department.
I was asked again which app I wanted information about (!!) and then, after telling again that I meant nothing more than playing a 14-25 KHz-pitched mp3 for a long time, they answered that no, that may not harm the phone but they couldn't be 100% sure.
I've asked them about the audio playback hardware, about who produced it and whether those latter could answer. The final answer, that they suppose is enough to close my ticket, is that "nobody could say for sure that playing high-pitched tones for a long time wouldn't damage the phone".
This is a nonsense to me, since hardware must have technical specs. Does Motorola International have got a better answer?
