everytime i have the sound on on my phone and i get a text message i open the text but the ringtone keeps playing until its over. it doesn't stop when i open the message. My old one never did that not even when i first got it. i just got this one the other day in the mail because my old one fried itself. i have tried everything and i have no idea why it wont stop playing the ringtones.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the craziest damn bug you've ever heard... I have a ringtone that plays when a call comes in, answer the phone - the ringtone turns off, as expected. However, after I hang up, the ringtone will continue to play. I can adjust the volume, but since it's a ringtone, I don't know of an app to open to change it, other than opening my phone, calling voicemail, hang up, and still the ringtone persists (good thing I like the song — Brian Setzer and Jeff Beck's version of "Twenty Flight Rock".)
Powering off the phone is the only thing that can make it work and it seems to occur more often when the phone is charging (charged?) and plugged in (vs Qi charging).
Has anyone experiencing music playing problem since upgraded to IOS 5.1? Whenever I play my music it will just stop by itself and I have to constantly press the play button again to restart it.

Songs start playing spontaneously ever since I did an update to my iphone 4 and have the "music" icon instead of the "ipod" icon on the phone. I stop the music and make sure the music app isn't even open but the songs just start up by the themselves anyway. Help. this makes the battery run down and is very embarassing when I'm in the middle of a meeting!

I just got my iphone and don't even hardly know what an app is. I suppose if you compared it to an icon on a computer I might better understand.or not. Anyway I downloaded some itunes music and started it playing and I don't know how to close it/make it stop.And other things I opened I get the feeling they are still open and running in the background. My phone keeps randomly playing this video. It doesn't play the way videos normally play. There is no way to stop it or close it once it starts. (It does stop when I press the mute button, but starts back where it left off when I un-mute.) I tried clearing the internet browser history to see if that would fix the problem, but it did not.

played 5 video. 4 of them had only 720p. Than when I went back to one of them. 1080p shows up once. And return back to 720p on every video .

For some reason, walking to my car this morning, my Atrix began to play an audiobook file (MP3). One that I had listened to days ago.
After months of using the phone and happily listening to audio books this issue has just occured this morning.
I swiped open the phone only to find that the (stock) music player was not actually running. Have not been able to find a way to stop the file(s) from playing.
Observations:
1. rebooting the phone simply restarts the playback of the file from its begining.
2. When the phone is sleeping (screen black), I have no control of the volume (as I would using media player)
3. If I swipe the phone to vibrate or silent, the playback goes silent (though I believe it continues playing)
4. I don't believe I have any ther media players installed.
5. Attempting to play a file in the (stock) music player, results in the file trying to play (the slider moves left to right), but only the audiobook is audible.
6. Have tried cycling power, removing battery, and ManageApps->clearing cache, and even uninstalling a number of downloaded apps - nothing helps.
7. I don't believe my phone vibrates any longer when I receive a notification for incoming text or email.
If I want to have my phone available for handsfree calls and hear the directional prompts using Nokia Drive in my 2011 Acura TSX (not tech package) I have to have the audio set to Bluetooth Audio. But when I do that the Music app automatically starts and plays music. I can turn it off (using the Stop the Music app), but it comes back on after a few seconds. How can I make it stop playing music?

View 7 Replies View RelatedHave had my HTC One since last September. Never had any issues until today. No matter what music app I'm using, even Google play, the music will stop playing. It happens on different songs and with different headphones. The headphones icon still shows stays up. So the plug is good. But I have to keep unlocking my phone and restart the app. It's like every app closes. I'm running all stock. Never rooted. I restarted my phone. It worked for a few minutes but started up again.
Also noticed when you lose Internet connection a phrase down on the bottom of the screen pops up that says "yikes you lost Internet connection" I've never seen this before. Especially using the word "yikes" seems odd to me. I'm was on my home screen when it happened.
I connect my phone to my car's Bluetooth system during my drive to work in the morning in case I get a call. I usually listen to a podcast on my iPod, then switch to a CD if the podcast episode ends before I get to work. To do so, I flip past my Bluetooth audio setting on my radio. I've already disabled the Bluetooth connection for media in my phone, but all that's done is stop music from playing through the speakers of my car. My phone still begins to auto-play music, either music that's stored in my phone or launching Spotify and starting to play what I last listened to on there. I really don't like having to go onto my phone and close the app while I'm driving.

I've just upgraded to an X10 mini pro. I have set a song as the SMS ringtone, but the phone continues to play the song to the end, long after I have read the text. This is really annoying when you are receiving a steady stream of texts. All my previous phones have stopped the ringtone when opening the text message. Is this a Sony Ericsson feature, or an Android feature? More importantly, is there a phone setting that will stop the ringtone upon pressing a key/screen like a conventional phone?

Namely, the songs stop playing after a number of tracks of the 25 it would normally play. Sometimes after 2nd track, 8th track etc - random it seems.I use this extensively as my main music player and had no problems with the 5530. The tracks stop randomly, when they get to the end of the current song - never in the middle of a song. Means I'm having to take the phone out of my pocket to restart it. I've even deleted the application and re-downloaded it from the Ovi store. But normal albums play in sequence without a problem.As I'm in the 28 day cooling off period (never been on a contract before), am I allowed to return the phone for another handset, if this is a software bug?

It will play for a while (like 20-30 mins) and suddenly just stop playing. I check the APP on the phone & I press the PLAY button and in continues just fine - almost like STOP was pressed. I don't have any settings for turning it off after a certain time. This seems to happen intermittently on either of the Bluetooth accessories I pair with the phone. (Headphones or Speaker).
