I just got my iphone and don't even hardly know what an app is. I suppose if you compared it to an icon on a computer I might better understand.or not. Anyway I downloaded some itunes music and started it playing and I don't know how to close it/make it stop.And other things I opened I get the feeling they are still open and running in the background. How do I shut them down when I don't want to be using them?

Has anyone experiencing music playing problem since upgraded to IOS 5.1? Whenever I play my music it will just stop by itself and I have to constantly press the play button again to restart it.

Songs start playing spontaneously ever since I did an update to my iphone 4 and have the "music" icon instead of the "ipod" icon on the phone. I stop the music and make sure the music app isn't even open but the songs just start up by the themselves anyway. Help. this makes the battery run down and is very embarassing when I'm in the middle of a meeting!

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, walking to my car this morning, my Atrix began to play an audiobook file (MP3). One that I had listened to days ago.
After months of using the phone and happily listening to audio books this issue has just occured this morning.
I swiped open the phone only to find that the (stock) music player was not actually running. Have not been able to find a way to stop the file(s) from playing.
Observations:
1. rebooting the phone simply restarts the playback of the file from its begining.
2. When the phone is sleeping (screen black), I have no control of the volume (as I would using media player)
3. If I swipe the phone to vibrate or silent, the playback goes silent (though I believe it continues playing)
4. I don't believe I have any ther media players installed.
5. Attempting to play a file in the (stock) music player, results in the file trying to play (the slider moves left to right), but only the audiobook is audible.
6. Have tried cycling power, removing battery, and ManageApps->clearing cache, and even uninstalling a number of downloaded apps - nothing helps.
7. I don't believe my phone vibrates any longer when I receive a notification for incoming text or email.
If I want to have my phone available for handsfree calls and hear the directional prompts using Nokia Drive in my 2011 Acura TSX (not tech package) I have to have the audio set to Bluetooth Audio. But when I do that the Music app automatically starts and plays music. I can turn it off (using the Stop the Music app), but it comes back on after a few seconds. How can I make it stop playing music?

View 7 Replies View RelatedHave had my HTC One since last September. Never had any issues until today. No matter what music app I'm using, even Google play, the music will stop playing. It happens on different songs and with different headphones. The headphones icon still shows stays up. So the plug is good. But I have to keep unlocking my phone and restart the app. It's like every app closes. I'm running all stock. Never rooted. I restarted my phone. It worked for a few minutes but started up again.
Also noticed when you lose Internet connection a phrase down on the bottom of the screen pops up that says "yikes you lost Internet connection" I've never seen this before. Especially using the word "yikes" seems odd to me. I'm was on my home screen when it happened.
I connect my phone to my car's Bluetooth system during my drive to work in the morning in case I get a call. I usually listen to a podcast on my iPod, then switch to a CD if the podcast episode ends before I get to work. To do so, I flip past my Bluetooth audio setting on my radio. I've already disabled the Bluetooth connection for media in my phone, but all that's done is stop music from playing through the speakers of my car. My phone still begins to auto-play music, either music that's stored in my phone or launching Spotify and starting to play what I last listened to on there. I really don't like having to go onto my phone and close the app while I'm driving.

Does anything exist that would let me play music for some period of time (15, 20, 30 minutes, etc) then automagically shut off? Similar to a sleep mode on my radio. I would love to see this feature in Slacker, but I either can't find it or it hasn't been pushed from feature request to real feature.

It will play for a while (like 20-30 mins) and suddenly just stop playing. I check the APP on the phone & I press the PLAY button and in continues just fine - almost like STOP was pressed. I don't have any settings for turning it off after a certain time. This seems to happen intermittently on either of the Bluetooth accessories I pair with the phone. (Headphones or Speaker).

Before the update I could just turn my phone on vibrate or mute and the alerts wouldn't interrupt my music. I'll be singing along to a song when suddenly the music stops, an alert tone comes on and the "new sms message" pops up on my radio display. It's bad enough that half of my apps stop working randomly for no reason since the update.

When I play songs on my music player with my headphones, the music will stop randomly. Some other times it won't stop and will play for a long time. I had a feeling it was somehow related to turning the screen off using the power button after I start my playlist but I am not sure about it. I remember before the 3gs came out the only way to get custom sms tones is to make it the same name as an original sms tone but they had to be short because you cant stop them no matter what buttons you press.my question today is has anyone found a way to make longer sms tones that can be longer than a couple seconds...i guess im just used to hearing my favorite songs play when i get a text so if there is away please feel free to let me know.

everytime i have the sound on on my phone and i get a text message i open the text but the ringtone keeps playing until its over. it doesn't stop when i open the message. My iPhone will not play my music through its built in speaker or headphones, but it will play music when I connect it to my ihome. Also my ringtone will play so I know the speaker is not broken.
