View 3 RepliesThis problem has been occurring since I have used the 1520. Never did I experienced this with my 920 before.
Anyways, music randomly stops playing and I can't seem to get it back to playing if I don't restart THE WHOLE PHONE. It's very annoying and no this is not an Xbox Music issue since I've tried MixRadio, the Hub Tile and other third party players and this is still happening. Whatever skipping of songs I do it still won't play. Songs are switching but it's stuck on the 'pause' button but it's not playing.. No sounds, time is not running. REALLY annoying.
I just updated new FW, and after each call (income and outcome) the music player start play music. I try format phone and card, reinstall new FW, but I have still the same problem.

It's ok, because the phone is on silent, however, after it stops ringing, music starts playing and it's really loud. It plays through the phone speakers.Has anyone had an issue with this? I would love to resolve this issue asap because It's happened a number of times, especially when I don't want it to.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to 5.0, my blackberry tour does this annoying thing where it randomly starts playing the music I uploaded onto it. I'll listen to music on my blackberry while I'm at the gym and when I'm done I hit the stop button. Then I'll be standing in an elevator at work the next day and music will start randomly blasting from my phone. Needless to say this is rather embarrassing and obnoxious.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI dowloaded about 50 songs to my 16GB Motoactv. Listening today, random music starts playing. It is in MP3 mode and is not the radio. I scrolled through the songs on the device and music that I have never owned and never downloaded to the device is on the device.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I turn my phone off it starts to play whatever song it feels like that I have installed. Like right when I turn my phone off it'll start to play. I have to have the volume all the way down so it doesnt start to play music anymore. If I pause it from the lockscreen it won't start back up which is good. its done this before and stopped but now it's gone on for a week or 2 and it's just really annoying.

I purchased a new ATT 1520 about 6 weeks ago. I love everything about the phone. The only problem that occurs every once and a while is my Blutooth starts cutting in and out. Most of the time it works fine. Usually it happens in my car. It will work once and then I make a stop and re-establish the connection it starts cutting in and out almost like a record skipping. I have tried to turn off Blutooth and rediscover.
I have completely taken it out of my car's discovered blutooth connections and started over. I have turned off wifi. Restarted my phone. I also thought maybe it was the Live Lock Beta app so I uninstalled and it did work but it still happens on occasion. It also happens on occasion when I'm listening to my Motorola blutooth headset. At first I thought it may have been notifications coming in but just kept doing it.
Ever since the operating system upgrade, the music player starts playing music when ever I answer a phone call.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWeird glitch I noticed in the first 2-3 days post ICS. Everything seems to be normal with the phone, except for the fact that when I plug it into a charger, this will automatically trigger the device to start playing the same song. The song plays all the way through once and then ends, after which everything is normal again. While the song is playing, I can't determine which program is responsible for playing the music so that I can stop it. There is no app or icon that pops up to indicate that music is being played, it's just as if the music is being conjured out of thin air. If I try playing a track on either Google Music or My Music during this time, the second track will start playing at the same time as the first, almost as if the software doesn't recognize that another song is already playing.
Again, this only occurs when I plug the phone into a charger. Happens consistently whether it's a wall charger, usb or car charger. I've been searcing like crazy through Settings and Smart Actions to see what's causing it, but have come up empty so far. Tried rebooting a few times (both hard and soft reset), clearing out the cache....everything except a factory reset which I'd prefer to avoid if at all possible. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I've been scrolling through various message boards but haven't seen any examples of this yet.
After the recent mix radio update, while playing songs it suddenly stops and starts working after restart?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI highly value the sound output of a phone and how it can drive pro headphones. So I went to ATT store and took my Sony headphones with me.
I was pleasantly surprised by the dynamic range and quality of the sound. It is rich and satisfying. it can drive big headphone nicely. Bass was not only present but it was clean and un-clipped, punchy and full. I did not go over 27 on volume since it was very loud already.
I did not keep my 920 for this reason; 1520 is miles ahead of 920 in music sound output.
I've long since gotten rid of my NAS and moved to Onedrive and Netflix and so far I'm loving 'Ze Cloud'! However one feature I'd love to see (and I'm hoping exists) is the ability to not just play music from your Onedrive folder (which some apps can already do) but have a music folder that syncs to your phone and physically downloads whatever is in that folder to your phone's music folder. At this stage my music folder is linked on all my PCs but when I want to update my phone (to play in my car when reception isn't available) I still have to physically find and connect a cable. It's not a major annoyance but it'd be far more seamless if done over the wifi etc.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAs soon as I play a game, no matter how much battery life I have, the phone overheats and then says battery low and shuts down immediately. As soon as I turn in back on afterwards, battery life is still fine but doesn't change though I use the phone till phone cools down. It suddenly started to happen, I didn't update or did anything suspicious.

Bluetooth headset is connected, music player is not running (or any other application, for that matter). When a phone conversation ends, or a missed call is received, the music player starts by itself. Note: I do not press any buttons on the headset or the phone.
how to prevent this annoying behavior?
last night a friend came around mine so i thought i would use have laptop whilst he had it with him to get some up to date music. i simply plugged my usb in and then dragged and dropped some of his music into the music file on the phone. all looked so simple to me. there were some messages that came up regarding some of the files not working but my friend said he got those messages when he transferred to his itunes also.
when i go to play these songs i can barely hear them at all but i can play Internet videos with volume fine, i can play things within the nokia music mix thing, i can hear my system sounds, i can hear my ringtone. i have tried the basic obvious things of looking at settings on my phone etc but the fact that all other music works has made me assume it's not a settings issue on my phone.
only other thing i have since tried is transferring from my phone to my fiancees laptop, deleting all the songs from the phone and then i put an album back on. no luck, didn't work. really gutted at the moment, just got this phone and love it but i will be gutted if there is some sort of weird restrictions causing me to not just take music from a pc.
How do you stream music on Wi-Fi?
View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes the Lumia 1520 stream music even if it exists on the SD card locally? It seems like the network active arrow indicator is on an awful lot when I am listening to music, even though I have the "show streaming music in my collection" setting off.
Also, I get error messages saying "Can't fetch rights. Sorry, this song may be unavailable for streaming. Please try purchasing from the store."
These are not subscription songs; I own them, they are MP3 format and not DRM protected and they are on my SD card locally.
I use the Windows Phone app to transfer songs from my Windows 7 PC to my Lumia 1520 with the 8.1 update.
I also get messages on some songs saying "Can't play. Sorry, we cannot play this song on your phone. It may be corrupted, or be an unsupported file type." so I suspect the files are corrupted in both cases and need to be resynched.
When ending a phone call in my car using bluetooth, music starts automatically. How can I prevent this from happening?

When i put my mobile for charging, it automatically starts taking pictures and continues taking them. It takes about 800 pictures within an hour. What I can do. Iv tried soft resetting many times but problem still remains. My phone becomes super heated after that. Its been 2 months since i bought my phone from an online store.

How can I make it stop playing music?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem while playing music that is stored on the device in my collection (not streaming). I try to play a song and it says "opening". Then the song comes in and out sporadically for a couple of seconds. Then it stops for about two minutes and then plays again for a few seconds. Sometimes it plays fine, but I notice that when I am at the health club, the problem always occurs. Could it be a connection issue even if the music is stored locally and not being streamed?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to windows phone although i have been watching it for a while now, and i am very excited and pleased with my new lumia 1020. one question i have is, is there any way to make artist cover art be your lock screen while music is playing? View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my 1520 for about a year and I simply cannot get it to play music through Bluetooth without the sound jumping, dropping out, cracking up, etc etc. I mostly try to use it in my car (with a LG infotainment system). It's a dead loss. Making a BT connection is no problem, neither is speaking through the BT handsfree in my car - just the music playback quality.
What I have tried:
.Now running Windows 10 10166 on the phone. I was hoping that changing from Windows 8.1 might work. No luck. Incidentally, when the phone still ran Win 8.1, I tried resetting it twice (on the advice of Nokia support) - to no avail.
.I have, about 50 times, removed all Bluetooth connections then re-enabled them in my car and on the phone. No good.
.This led me to believe it was an issue with my LG car system. However, when I play music through BT with my old Android Samsung Galaxy Note 2 or my daughter's IPhone 5, it works without issue. This seems to point to a Nokia hardware issue.
.I also experimented playing music on a standalone JBL BT speaker. Same problem. Again, points to a hardware issue.
When I leave my phone to play music, either connected to an auxiliary cable to my car, or just via headphones, and basically the music doesn't play properly. On my phone, the music still goes on, but there's no output sound. The only way i've been able to fix it temporarily is to unplug the aux/headphone and pause the song, then replug and replay.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter the denim update on my 1520 for att, the phone has started acting weird. It unlocks itself and goes into messaging by own. Sometimes its funny as to you click the unlock button and things seem to happen by own.
Other issue that i am facing is the music pause. Play music, lock the phone, keep it in the pocket n boom... it pauses... every time.
