IPhone :: 4S Dead - Not Responding On Pressing Home And Power Button At Once
May 2, 2012
I have my iphone 4s since last November. Even if I press the home & power button at once for more than a minute, I do not have any response, could you know what's going on with mi phone?
My friends iphone 4 left his phone charged and suddenly his phone shut down and cant be on anymore. it is all blackscreen ... the blackscreen is like when ur phone is off. my friends phone can go to DFU mode i tried restore it using itunes. but it keep give me error code and i have try to solve all the error code but it still cant works ...
If we press the home button twice and there is alist of the app the i open earlier what is the meaning of that do i need to delet from the long list?It use more battery to keep turn on the all application or it just a list so i can go directly by that list?
Why does voice control keep opening up without pressing the home button? This happens when i'm listening to music or watching netflix. The songs will also skip and begin to fast forward without any buttons being pressed. I've done a restore on my iphone but this has not resolved the issue.
This afternoon my Iphone 3gs started to vibrate continously for about 2/3 minsutes whilst having a black screen. I then tried to bring the home screen up and none of the buttons would work. The power button hasn't worked for sometime so the remedy of holding the power and home button together won't work.
Is there anything I can do or is it completely dead with no chance of survival?
just got the moto x 2014. How to sleep the screen without pressing power button. In that case the power button, which BTW is kind of fragile, will be free. Any virtual button we can set?
My partner's Xperia Play decided not to boot this morning. (It was fine at 7.30 but by 8.30 it was dead). On pressing the power button, it vibrates for a few seconds but does not show any other sign of booting. He has tried removing the battery to boot it but to no avail. When he plugged it into his laptop, the machine failed to recognise the device. It just continuously made the device connect then device disconnect sounds. The laptop is only a couple of weeks old so I highly doubt that it's an issue with the USB ports. It does not detect the phone long enough to perform an update. Is it possible that the USB cable is faulty, or the USB port on the phone? Or could it be a compatibility issue with the laptop?
I am having trouble with my HTC Wildfire S since when I press the power button, the touch buttons switch on but the screen remains black. In order for the screen to appear, I either need to touch the screen or else wait for a few seconds until something comes up.
My C7 froze to the point where it was necessary to pull out and reinsert the battery.
Unfortunately now I can't turn it back on. Pressing POWER button triggers vibra, but the screen remains dark and nothing happens after that.
I tried removing the batteries, plugged it in the wall, removed SIM card, I also tried hard reset key combination suggested in in this thread (Volume Down + Camera Key + Menu Key and press power button).
On a general note, the phone was freezing a lot. I noticed that especially when trying to connect to my work wlan (not very stable hot spot).
This morning the screen of my Z5 Compact starting coming back on after I press the Power Button to turn it off. It seems to be triggered by movement: If I'm holding the phone after pressing the PB, the screen comes back on immediately when my hand moves. If I place the phone flat on a table and press the PB, without additional movement, the screen stays off.
The screen stays off if allowed to Sleep past the set duration.
The past couple of days I've also been getting notifications that certain Apps are preventing Stamina mode from operating. This morning it was Facebook. Yesterday, it was another one I can't remember. Can these issues be related?
I would want to bring an issue to Sony's and all the Z2 users' notice that I am trying to observe a display burn in issue on pressing the power button while unlocking the phone a lot of times and this usually happens when I have set the brightness to adaptive. When I press the power button to unlock the screen, the colors burn for a second and the backlight comes to life with all the real colors the next second.
Its been happening quite a lot now and now I am atleast able to figure out that adaptive brightness is the culprit here. I am not sure is this another bug that sony needs to fix in lollipop or what it is? But just to mention, I have recently clean formatted my phone using the repair phone method on Sony PC companion and it has not worked to solve this issue. Lollipop is seriously making life bitter in a lot of ways than being sweet atleast for Z2 users like me. We would love to see the almost flawless Z2 back as it was on Kitkat 4.4.4.
Having issue when pressing the power button, the lockscreen will come back on for about 3 seconds and then turn off again. I can't figure out what is causing this to happen.
I have problem with waking the phone with power/lock button. Every few hours (for my usage once a day) the phone doesn't wake after locking. I have to press and hold power/lock button for a few seconds to manualy restart it. I know that N5 has notorious problems with power/lock button but as far as I know its problem with phone not going to sleep. I don't have problem with that.
I noticed this after an update to M. I am on XtraSmooth 29.10 build with RacerKernel 28.10. DT2W dissabled. Also i have the usual problem of turning screen on after calls. For me the phone sometimes doesn't turn on until the other person ends the call. Do I need to replace the power/lock button?
My phone came up with a message asking if i wanted to update to the new software so clicked ok, it seemed to be taking ages and then suddenly went off. Now when holding down the power button and the home button it is still not working and wont restore?
My home button on my iphone 4 is not respondng. I already did a system restore and still no luck. I am still under the applecare warranty but I'd like to save myself the trip is there is a quick
My home button is not responding at all. Touch screen and apps appear to work fine. I have to turn phone off every time to get out of an app once I open it.
Since yesterday this phone is showing black screen with passcode dots & message as "Emergency calls only" at the bottom & battery status on top. When I swipe passcode dots screen is only black. When I connect to PC with USB Phone is detected but I cannot access phone or SD Card. PC Companion cannot detect anything. As for incoming Calls people say they get message as mobile switched off.I feel sorry that I did not go thru discussions in this forum before buying this costly mobile. Can I get free replacement or can I have different model in place of this mobile?I am ready to pay the difference of price if it is on higher side.
My power button is completely dead. I can neither switch off or switch on phone nor can i out it to sleep widout third party app.
I need to unlock bootloader and root phone but all methods need a working power button.. Any way i can do this widout power button jus by using pc and command window ?
I've been running my Desire S for about 6 months now. Just about set up how I like it. nnoyingly it has developed a problem where after playing with any app and pressing the home screen, 9 times out of 10 I get the white background with green HTC logo, then a "Loading..." message over the home screen. When I go back to the app I was *just using*, it acts as if I've opened it for the first time and forgets where I was, what pages I was on, which album I was currently listening to etc.I've tried a few things suggested by the Internet: - Restarting the phone (of course)- Removing all widgets from home screen in case one of them has crashed- Checking I am not regularly running out of ram- Checking I am not dangerously close to running out of iternal storage- Unmounting the SD card- Un-installed any app I've added in the past month- Checking none of the app icons have become duplicated on top of each other (??? hey I was getting desperate)I have also been keeping an eye on the Services tab but to be honest, things seem to restart so often in here that it is hard to identify which one is acting out of the ordinary.
I took this into the t-Mobile shop, explained that I know they are not HTC tech support but that they might have seen the issue before and have a bit of a clue with the phones they sell, explained what I'd done above and they came back with the most unhelpful of default cop-out answers: "Software update."Latest Android version available through t-mobile is 2.3.3 which I am on.TC Sense is at v2.1oes anyone have any ideas? I would really rather sort this out without having to factory reset my phone. Firstly as I had my phone pretty much set up how I wanted it, secondly I have so many apps for which I have no idea how to reliably transfer their saved info (mostly music creation apps with their own save formats/locations) and thirdly so that I know how to resolve this when it inevitably happens again.
