A couple of weeks ago the light on the back and end call button went out. It came back about a day later. Those same two buttons went out this morning and now the menu button will not work correctly. When I hit it, it types "jk" into the search menu.

I have upgraded from a Curve to a Torch 9850. I have had the new phone for nearly 3 weeks and noticed that occasionally the back button and menu button would not work. In the beginning it was once or twice a day but this weekend it has been an all day event. The phone is fairly useless like this. It occurs with all applications as well as text and BB messenger.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I noticed that some apps utilize a floating menu button (I think that's because the s6 doesn't have a dedicated menu button?) that appears like a circle with 3 dots on the screen wich you can move around.
However it appears to somehow be broken, as when I tap the button a menu appears for a fraction of a second and then disappears again, not giving enough time to do anything and of course rendering such an app useless.
Recently I have updated the OS on my Bold 9700 (version 6.0 bundle 2718 - v6.0.0.615, platform 6.6.0.223).The problem is that the menu button does not work at all when I'm in the e-mail, text, or messages.Also, the emails would not open if I just click on them - I need to hold the trackpad button and then select "Open" in the square window that appears on top.The menu button behavious is the same in all other modes, e.g. camera, browser.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt keeps telling me that the c: memory is full and that i should delete some items, however when i try to, there is hardly anything on the c:. Also the phone only works sporadically for about five minutes after switching on and after that the menu button and the touch screen do not work properly and i am unable to make any calls or texts, but can still recieve calls.
Also it is telling me that the sim memory is full and remains full despite deleting text messages. Has anyone else experienced such problems or know how i can fix these problems?

voice control goes off by itself & every time i call an operator at the apple store they're just completly rude. thought the iphone 4 was mean't to be so awesome !

It'll say I have a new text and I'll go in my inbox to open it but when I click, it won't let me read it. It'll let me open the ones before it, but not the unread one. Even if I click the the menu button then "open" it still doesn't work.

I cannot access the menu that includes: hide, move, open tray etc. I cleaned up the phone and uploaded the newest software via the BB desktop application software. I ended up cleaning it up so well it seemed to go back to factory settings as I lost all my apps. It seemed to solve the problem though and I got my menu button to work properly again. I have since uploaded App World and a new theme. The button still worked properly for 24 hours. Today, I turn it on and all is working well but the menu button loads my phone again. Do you understand that the menu does not load, but rather the 'phone' menu pops up as though I'd pressed the phone icon. I wonder if the 'flex ribbon cable' underneath the buttons is misaligned somehow and when I press the menu key, it is loading the green telephone key menu because of malfunction of the ribbon.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with the menu/BlackBerry button (whatever it's called) The button seems to be stuck. So when I push it the menu will come up but it will automatically do what is highlighted, which is often close or open the tray if on the home screen. If I lock the phone it will darken but then lighten up as if I have pressed the button, but I haven't. It will say screen locked but will continously darken and lighten back up.
I was having this issue a little while ago and even took my phone apart to clean as I thought that was the issue but it did not help. Then I needed to charge it, which I normally do by plug in, but this time I used usb to computer. There seemed to be a substantial update for my phone which once completed fixed the issue with the button. Which was a huge relief as I was thinking I would have to pay somebody to fix and I don't want to do that. It is very pricey.
Well today it started back up. I connected it to the computer but it said there were no updates and did not fix the button problem. And yes I have tried battery pull.
Is there any shortcut to accessing the menu besides pressing the button? It seems like mine may be getting worn out. Sometimes I need to press it more than once.
