my mobiles menu button light not working, befoe when any message came it will blink,now nothing will happen when use mobile, call recieve & end button light only work what i do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with the menu/BlackBerry button (whatever it's called) The button seems to be stuck. So when I push it the menu will come up but it will automatically do what is highlighted, which is often close or open the tray if on the home screen. If I lock the phone it will darken but then lighten up as if I have pressed the button, but I haven't. It will say screen locked but will continously darken and lighten back up.
I was having this issue a little while ago and even took my phone apart to clean as I thought that was the issue but it did not help. Then I needed to charge it, which I normally do by plug in, but this time I used usb to computer. There seemed to be a substantial update for my phone which once completed fixed the issue with the button. Which was a huge relief as I was thinking I would have to pay somebody to fix and I don't want to do that. It is very pricey.
Well today it started back up. I connected it to the computer but it said there were no updates and did not fix the button problem. And yes I have tried battery pull.
i bought my minipro last nov. last two days the menu button in my phone stopped working. so to unlock my phone i use to slide the phone.but for other options i find it very difficult without the menu button.

Now I have a really annoying bug: the menu key, sometimes, stops working and won't bring up the menu if pressed briefly, and won't bring up the task list either (when pressed long). Anyone experiencing this bug? The only way I found to make it work again is turn off and on again my phone... And the task list can't be found in menus, AFAIK. I could do that with my old 5800XM...

I fell in love with my 8310 when I first got it about 2 years ago. It has everything I could need. I am not a internet person but it has the memo pad for my fireman stuff, the right size buttons for texting since I have pretty large hands, and I liked the applications I had. Well my phone has taken the falls and the other day it fell face first into a rain puddle. I grabbed it up fast. The cell has dried and it still works except for the trackball and the menu button. Basically the 2 most important buttons. I took it to the store and the phones strip was still white and never turned red. They told me I am do for a upgrade. I love the 8310, its been great to me. So the question: is there a fix of the keypad I can just get off ebay or the other options were 2 cells I found. Not wanting to do the whole data plan deal and not all stoked about a 3g. The guy was trying to press the torch on me and I told him no thanks.
The cells that interest me are.
1) The 8520. I like this one cause it seems like its not far from what I had maybe a few new bells and whistles. I see it has wifi.
2) HTC Tilt 2

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had some problems with my X10 lately. Admittedly this was after a full-on day in the Scottish Highlands where the phone was exposed to cold and rain. Getting back into a warm car the phone started going mental, the led lights flashing like a Christmas party disco and the vibrate constantly on. After a session on the radiator I got some life out of the phone. It basically works except for the following:
- the top left power button to standby/turn the phone off does nothing (the phone switches itself on when you put the battery in)
- same for the bottom middle button to standby, although it will bring the main desktop up.
- the red led light is on permanently (this is so annoying)
I have re-flashed Gingerbread and had the phone on charge for hour upon hour to no avail. I have installed a free widget that puts the phone on standby but I can't power it down without taking the batter out.
getting the power button working and telling me if there's a way (hardware or software) to get the red LED light to go out (this means that any messages/missed calls reders the green light inoperative)

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a new nokia x3, around 2 months old, after restarting the phone one time, the main button (the menu button) works for locking/unlocking and even makes the keytone sound when you press it, but i cant open up the menu, its really annoying because without the menu i cannot access the phone! i can still make calls/text messages, but i really want to fix this.

I don't know if it is something new because I came from an old 8330. I used to hit menu and if I hit menu again the menu would go away.

It has been this way for quite a while (nearly a year) and I am thinking that there is a permission that was inadverdently disabled. View 2 Replies View RelatedA couple weeks ago I put a needle (needle and thread) on my phone screen for like 2 seconds, the needle rolled to the side and went between the screen and he side of the phone, as I tried to get it out it went in further and was pushed behind the screen on Saturday I took the phone a part, managed to get the needle out and put the phone back together. Once it was back together I switched it back on and now the call/menu/return and end call buttons are not working. They do click when pressed but they don't actually do anything anymore. So I retook the phone a part just to make sure I didn't snag anything or move anything to which I found I had not.

In the beginning it was once or twice a day but this weekend it has been an all day event. The phone is fairly useless like this. It occurs with all applications as well as text and BB messenger.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy menu button loads my 'phone' and not the menu for the phone. I cannot access the menu that includes: hide, move, open tray etc. I cleaned up the phone and uploaded the newest software via the BB desktop application software. I ended up cleaning it up so well it seemed to go back to factory settings as I lost all my apps. It seemed to solve the problem though and I got my menu button to work properly again. I have since uploaded App World and a new theme. The button still worked properly for 24 hours. Today, I turn it on and all is working well but the menu button loads my phone again. Do you understand that the menu does not load, but rather the 'phone' menu pops up as though I'd pressed the phone icon. I wonder if the 'flex ribbon cable' underneath the buttons is misaligned somehow and when I press the menu key, it is loading the green telephone key menu because of malfunction of the ribbon.

I've spent just over a week looking for an answer, searching Google and forums.The screen is very dull on the main menu, to the extent that to see any data on it you need to be in a very dark room. The screen saver however is just as bright as it has always been, brighter in fact.
I've turned the screen brightness up to full but this made no difference. It is almost as if the back light has been turned off.Does anyone know how to turn the back light on or even any resolution of this so I can use the phone during the day.
Recently my Bold 9900's back button started going to this menu to toggle applications instead of just closing any open menus or returning to the previous application. Is there any way to make it work like it used to? Checked the options, it's not anywhere I can see.

I mean the same function happens as by holding down the menu button or just tapping options, open applications.Was this functionality always there, and I was the only one that didn't know about it? Cause it makes things really easy.
