Mar 5, 2010Is there a way to really reset the BB to the factory settings?I am running 5.0x firmware, and the Options/ Security Options/ General Settings/ Menu/ Wipe Handheld function is not present anymore! (I saw it when I had 4.6.x..)So I tried this (from Mac, as on XP I can't locate the loader.exe file): http://www.blackberry.com /btsc/ search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB18998 but it actually did not really clean my BB, it kept for example all the apps I installed which are the reason why I would like to reset the BB! it also kept the 5.0.x firmware, while when I got the BB it had the 4.6.x firmware. Feb 21, 2012Is it possible to do like a factory reset on my curve. Since I gave my girlfriend my former phone my contact list is still in there and its freaking me out. I tried to delete but I could only achieve deleting one contact at a time and I have close to 800 contacts.

Sep 8, 2010I fell in love with my 8310 when I first got it about 2 years ago. It has everything I could need. I am not a internet person but it has the memo pad for my fireman stuff, the right size buttons for texting since I have pretty large hands, and I liked the applications I had. Well my phone has taken the falls and the other day it fell face first into a rain puddle. I grabbed it up fast. The cell has dried and it still works except for the trackball and the menu button. Basically the 2 most important buttons. I took it to the store and the phones strip was still white and never turned red. They told me I am do for a upgrade. I love the 8310, its been great to me. So the question: is there a fix of the keypad I can just get off ebay or the other options were 2 cells I found. Not wanting to do the whole data plan deal and not all stoked about a 3g. The guy was trying to press the torch on me and I told him no thanks.
The cells that interest me are.
1) The 8520. I like this one cause it seems like its not far from what I had maybe a few new bells and whistles. I see it has wifi.
2) HTC Tilt 2

Apr 11, 2010i have a new nokia x3, around 2 months old, after restarting the phone one time, the main button (the menu button) works for locking/unlocking and even makes the keytone sound when you press it, but i cant open up the menu, its really annoying because without the menu i cannot access the phone! i can still make calls/text messages, but i really want to fix this.

When I go to security options, all the options I have are:

Firewall
Information
Security Wipe
I have been reading that the security wipe won't get rid of everything. When I go into security wipe, it says if I wipe "Emails, Contacts, etc." you will not be able to send or receive email on the device after you wipe it.
Does that mean on this phone ever again, or just from the email addresses I am wiping?

Jul 2, 2012My menu button loads my 'phone' and not the menu for the phone. I cannot access the menu that includes: hide, move, open tray etc. I cleaned up the phone and uploaded the newest software via the BB desktop application software. I ended up cleaning it up so well it seemed to go back to factory settings as I lost all my apps. It seemed to solve the problem though and I got my menu button to work properly again. I have since uploaded App World and a new theme. The button still worked properly for 24 hours. Today, I turn it on and all is working well but the menu button loads my phone again. Do you understand that the menu does not load, but rather the 'phone' menu pops up as though I'd pressed the phone icon. I wonder if the 'flex ribbon cable' underneath the buttons is misaligned somehow and when I press the menu key, it is loading the green telephone key menu because of malfunction of the ribbon.
