I was playin with my girl's phone tryin to guess her password and after too many attempts the phone seems to have factory reset. The pictures are still loaded so I believe the SD card wasn't reformatted. How do I reset it?

When I go to security options, all the options I have are:

Information
Security Wipe
I have been reading that the security wipe won't get rid of everything. When I go into security wipe, it says if I wipe "Emails, Contacts, etc." you will not be able to send or receive email on the device after you wipe it.
Does that mean on this phone ever again, or just from the email addresses I am wiping?
In my Blackberry curve 8520 general settings option is not available under security option in settings,Because of this i am not able to find factory restore

View 5 Replies View Relatedmy wifes 8530 we just did the BB App World upgrade. Now we can't see or find the icon to open and use it. After being on the phone with Verizon for a while they contacted BB and this is what I was told to do.
-Download BB desktop manager on my computer
-Backup all data from the phone
-Do a hard reset which will delete all data from the phone
-Reinstall all data from desktop manager back to phone and then the icon should appear
When I turn on my BB, the numeric keypad is locked (123 sign on upper right activated).I am therefore unable to enter my password which contains letters.How can I unlock the numeric keypad, as all the other keys are inactive?
View 5 Replies View Relatedgot a 8520 a couple of months ago, and after two weeks the phone speaker would break up when making a call, so you could only hear 1 in 3 words someone was saying, and inbetween was silence.T-mobile sent me a new one out next day, but now after 4 months the new one has started doing it.Can make calls fine with ear piece, speakerphone is working for playing music, haven't tried it for calls, and handset speaker works fine for music too, but breaks up when phoning anyoneThe second time it happened was just after okaying an upgrade. I have horrible battery life with the device. With brightness at 10 percent, ten second backlight, locking the phone when not in use, having wifi and bluetooth off when not in use, and phone off or antenna off when in low service (about four hours), I am lucky to get through the day with a little bit of heavy use (web browsing). I have a few minutes of calls, and mainly texting and web browsing with some email. I expected better battery life out of a blackberry!
The reception on my phone is bad. I have five bars of sprint coverage at my house, but when I pick up the phone and start using it the coverage drops to two bars, zero bars, searching, and can't keep a signal. With one bar of service my phone won't send messages, and then I will lose the bar where my old phone would get one bar solid, sometimes two bars.
I downloaded my lookout virus scanner.Worked great.Did an upgrade from BBapp world and after reboot it starts and the application permission pops up and everything is frozen. My animated screensaver is moving in the background and if I press the alt or caps key the symbol comes on and off but nothing moves and I cant do anything. The phone signal never turns on and the time freezes to when it first starts. I have pulled the battery atleast 20 times and have done the alt caps del reset a bunch too. I email the company of the program and filed a help request but it being the weekend I think Im screwed with them. Can anyone help me out how to get around this I just wanna get my phone back this has been all afternoon.

Sprint said it couldn't be done. One of them are lying to me, but I don't know which one. It shouldn't be a big deal. It should be just changing the software. What should I do?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got a 8530 from work and the second I plug it into my pc by the USB cord, it shuts the phone off and the red led comes on. Then the white spinning clocks comes on and then back to the red led and keeps resetting. It does this on both curves we just purchased for work. Same PC works without a hitch for a 9550 and a 9630 same usb cord. As soon as I remove the usb cord from the curves, they boot up fine. Any help would be nice.
