BB Curve :: How To Factory Reset When Buttons Are Not Working
Jun 15, 2012
I would like to factory reset my Blackberry Curve 8520. None of the buttons are working, so I cannot do it by entering through 'Options' as has already been advised.
I have AT+T HTC One - stock; I was happily using it too much let the power run down till it died and after that cannot restart. I can reach the Hard Reset Loader screen. I have already tried factory reset.
I see a kind of battery picture pop up for a while with two green arrows making a circle and a little down arrow in the middle - in the center of screen.
A while later the screen goes black and nothing happens. The SIM card is still inside. I have tried 2-3 times - battery shows to be >80% as of now.
This is info from the Hard reset (DownVol + Powre) screen: ****Locked**** M7-UL PVT SHIP S-ON R/H HBOOT 1.56.0000 RADIO-4T.24.3218.09 OpenDSP-V32.120.274.0909 OS-4.18.502.7 eMMC-boot 2048mB JAN 28 2014, 09:32:4.1704
Is it possible to wipe date/factory reset the N5 if the screen only barely lights up a dull grey? I got a replacement but I have to send this one back and cant reset it the normal way.
touchsceen on my Xperia mini pro is not working so when I power the phone on i get to lock screen and thats it. I want to perform factory reset to find out whether its software or hardware problem, but how to do it, when I can't select factory reset in the menu. how to get into recovery mode, but none of them worked.
Why I cannot do Factory Reset. I enter: Privacy/Factory Reset press Reset and nothing happens. I tried remove battery and put it back and still nothing.
My E75 built-in browser is not working. After I open the "Web" tab it gives the list of bookmars, but as soon as I press left soft key it either exits back to the menu. And the other web-related icons (Download!, Files on Ovi; Software Update) don't work. Moreover, Download! reports "Unrecoverable error".
It started on 201.12.01 firmware, thought that update would help. 202.12.01 brought no changes.Factory reset wasn't helpful too. Tried uninstalling Opera mobile 10 beta, changing language, also - no changes.
I had to restore my factory settings to change my default google account on my moto xprt, but after that I couldn't get updates from news (rss feed) and social networking, as well as facebook mails (in universal inbox) and fb contacts. no news, no mail, no contacts! I have tried the following:
- Turn device on/off, remove the battery - Erase facebook account and reenter it - Remove motoblur app from my fb account, then reenter the fb account - Turn sync social networking via WiFi only on/off - Leave the phone on battery maximum performance to sync through the night - Clear data from social networking and news app (in app manager) - Restore factory settings again - Tried updating it via gsm data only
Nothing seems to work, but it worked fine before the factory reset. I couldn't find motoblur registration option. is that common for android phones? When I factory reset I don't get that motoblur registration window!
In my Blackberry curve 8520 general settings option is not available under security option in settings,Because of this i am not able to find factory restore
I have got a blackberry of my nephew and I can't change blackberry ID to mine as he has forgotten his ID and password so it won't let me change it so is there anyway
Since I can't reboot with memory card, my main screen is completely wrong, I can't see my four shortcut icons (I can see only hover icon), green (last calls) and red buttons doesn't work, two bottom icons (num keyboard and contacts) doesn't work too. So if I want to insert hard reset code, I canīt. Restart without memory card and SIM card, shut down-power up and restore factory settings canīt solve my problem.
Is there a way to really reset the BB to the factory settings?I am running 5.0x firmware, and the Options/ Security Options/ General Settings/ Menu/ Wipe Handheld function is not present anymore! (I saw it when I had 4.6.x..)So I tried this (from Mac, as on XP I can't locate the loader.exe file): http://www.blackberry.com /btsc/ search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB18998 but it actually did not really clean my BB, it kept for example all the apps I installed which are the reason why I would like to reset the BB! it also kept the 5.0.x firmware, while when I got the BB it had the 4.6.x firmware. I really would like to go back to the original status. any suggestions?

I brought a blackberry off a friend but her name still aappear's in the message bit and her email address's are still on the phone. How do i reset the phone to factory settings?
Everyone says go to options - security options - general options - wipe handheld.
When I go to security options, all the options I have are: Advanced Security Options Encryption Firewall Information Security Wipe
I have been reading that the security wipe won't get rid of everything. When I go into security wipe, it says if I wipe "Emails, Contacts, etc." you will not be able to send or receive email on the device after you wipe it.
Does that mean on this phone ever again, or just from the email addresses I am wiping?

I was playin with my girl's phone tryin to guess her password and after too many attempts the phone seems to have factory reset. The pictures are still loaded so I believe the SD card wasn't reformatted. How do I reset it?
Anyways, I have managed to change my homescreen, widgets and subsequent screens so much that now I'm bored with it. I would like to reset all these screens back their original state.
Some buttons are not working so I can't enter password or default "Blackberry" password to gain access to phone. Basically Vodafone are buying this handset back off but I need to wipe all data from phone first.
