Motorola Droid Turbo :: How To Preserve (backup / Restore) Settings Across A Factory Reset

I've been told by Verizon and by Motorola that I need to do a factory reset. (Moto Approach stopped working yesterday and we can't get it to start again.)

Before doing that, is there any way to backup my folder settings (which apps are grouped together in which folders on my home screens)

Motorola Droid Turbo :: Low Volume On Speakerphone

Sep 22, 2015

Any way to increase (and maintain) a louder volume from the speaker while using speakerphone or Bluetooth speaker? My Maxx was awesome!! I thought for sure when I got the Turbo it would be equivalent.

I often find myself disappointed in the output. The really strange part is that I swear that it changes somehow. One phone call on speakerphone is great. Same number calls back later and not so much! I didn't change anything. I then try to increase my volume to no avail. My Bluetooth does that as well watching a YouTube video. I can start the video nice and loud. Stop it for a bit to return later and I can't hear the dang thing.

I use all factory Android software without any additional apps, etc. for volume controls. All levels are set to high. No droppage or any damage to the speaker or phone.

Motorola Droid Turbo :: Volume Is Inconsistent

Jul 18, 2015

Most notably is the alarm. There have been days that it is very loud and others I had to make sure the volume was turned up because it was pretty quiet. Luckily I was up this morning and waited for my alarm to go off. It went off but it was very quiet, if I was still asleep there is no way I would have heard it which is opposite yesterday because it woke my wife up it was so loud. I have changed the tone but it hasn't made any difference.

Motorola Droid Turbo :: Speakerphone Volume All Way Up Is Not Loud

Jun 2, 2015

Noticed that the speakerphone volume all the way up is not loud? Regardless of playing music or using speakerphone either on a call or watching a YouTube video, it just stinks.

I swear it used to be louder. I have gone into settings etc and nothing changes it. I haven't gotten it wet nor dropped it. I don't have pocket lint and crap in the way.

Motorola Droid Turbo :: Volume Goes Almost Dead While On Phone

Motorola Droid Turbo :: In Call Volume Unadjustable

May 4, 2015

I have the droid turbo 32g. If I am listening to something on headphones and someone calls, the in call volume will be wake-the-dead loud. I can try to adjust the volume either before answering the call or after answering, but it makes no difference. It is loud enough that is uncomfortable to keep the speaker against my ear. I'd say this happens about 75% of the time. I can't figure out why it occasionally works correctly.

Motorola Droid Turbo :: Why Does Ring Volume Lock On Silent

Sep 13, 2015

Verizon XT1254 Moto Droid Turbo, android version 5.1.About once a week I notice that my phone is on silent ringer, I might catch a call because I feel the vibe, or see a missed call. I check where the ring volume is and the slider is all the way to the left on silent. Pushing the vol up hardware key does nothing, touch and slide the slider and it will snap back to silent as soon as you lift your finger. I do have moto assist set to silence the phone from 11pm to 730am, but this problem seems to happen during the day, not just stuck from the nightly mute and the moto assist notification is not up on the screen. If I require the phone to ring at night, there is no problem just moving the slider and moto assist does not interfere.

I have checked through settings, tried multiple ways to raise the volume but nothing works. The only fix is to turn off the phone and then back on again. BTW, what happened to the quick menu that was under the lock button with a long hold that would allow volume changes, vibe on or off, airplane mode and restart? My Gzone has all that under a long press of the lock button.

Motorola Droid Razr :: Its Just Factory Data Reset?

Jul 12, 2012

For some reason, my phone just did a factory reset. I wasn't using it, just had it in my pocket with headset plugged in. Pulled out the headset from the jack and was going to make a call. When the screen turned on there was the Android icon with what looked like a green "electron cloud" type symbol animated in its open "belly". After a few minutes with that on the display, tried to shut the phone off, it wouldn't power down so I did the volume down and power button. When it came back, the phone was cleared asking me to select a language.

Motorola Droid :: It Freezes After Sleep Even After Factory Reset?

Jun 23, 2011

Assume my Droid is working, and it goes to sleep after a period of disuse, or a click on the power button to put it to sleep. Then, when I click the power to turn it back on, the screen appears but none of the controls work. When I swipe the unlock icons, nothing happens. Nothing happens when any button is pressed or any screen item is pressed. If I merely pull the battery nothing works. If I pull the battery and then do a hard reset, using the X plus power kay, then a reset, the phone will work fine...until it goes to sleep, when it freezes again and the only way to revive it is to do another hard reset.I did a hard reset, and cleared all of my user data...but still the phone froze after it went to sleep. This happens whether or not the 16 GB data chip is pulled. It happens with a fully charged battery as well as using the power cord. Finally, I did a factory reset and wiped out everything, so that I was starting with a new default system and a new activation. The phone started up fine...and I could access the factory-installed apps...but when it went to sleep it froze again. When I tried to wake it I could not get by the home screen.I had this problem starting a few days ago. Then it seemed to go away. Then a day later it started again. Why does going to sleep kill a phone that otherwise works perfectly? It can't be any add on apps, because there are none.

Motorola Droid X :: Bypass Activation After Factory Reset?

Aug 5, 2011

I bought a used DROID X from a friend to use only with Wi-Fi, not with Verizon service. It worked fine with only Wi-Fi even though it had no service. I did a Factory Reset to wipe it clean. Now when it comes up it goes to the activation screen and will not go past it, forcing activation to continue. I do not wish to activate the phone with Verizon, only use it with Wi-Fi. Does anyone know how I can get the phone back to working with Wi-Fi only? Is there an Android ROM version I can download from somewhere and load on this phone so that it does not force activation?

Motorola Droid :: Old Version Of Market After Factory Reset

Dec 8, 2011

did a factory reset due to the market kept insisting I had updates, and when I go to maket none were available. And I got tired of doing this So I did the factory reset. This is the second time I have done this task. Last time it was a breeze, and once done all the apps I had prior automatically re-downloaded of their own. Didn't happen this time, and that is no biggy,But what is bothering me is I still have the old version of the market. At least it works, but it has been a little over 24 hours since I did the reset...shouldnt the latest version of market been made available to me by now?

Motorola Droid Turbo :: Ringtone And Notification Volume Have Completely Separate Settings?

Aug 20, 2015

I have a Droid Turbo, and on both KitKat and Lollipop you have to change volume settings separately. I'm always turning down my volume, just to get a full blast text alert that startles me right out of my seat. On previous phones (including other Motorola droids) all notification volume settings were linked and changed as one. Why is that not a thing anymore? How does that not just make the most sense? I know there are apps out there that could do this, but I don't want to have to download another app to simplify something that should be simple in the first place.

Xperia Z2 :: Power Or Volume And Camera Buttons Suddenly Stopped Working

Apr 23, 2015

My power button suddenly stopped working this morning. I think it may have worked once with a really long delay... But since then I have to tap my screen a few times to wake it up. I'm worried that if my battery ever runs flat I won't be able to turn my phone back on.

Then I have realised my volume and camera buttons dont work either. They definitely all worked yesterday.

I'm really not happy with this phone. I look after it properly, it cost me a lot of money not long ago, its kept in a protective case and has never been dropped etc. I spent more money than I could afford on a phone thinking I should buy the best I can and I shouldn't have a problem with it being Sony, but so far I have been disappointed with it.
