Since the lollipop update, even with my ringer volume at the loudest, when someone calls, it is really low and then eventually becomes louder. it never did this before the update.
how can i make it so the volume of the ringer is constant?
i thought maybe there was a setting that i need to check / uncheck but didn't find one.
Never had a problem until last night when the ringer volume began to automatically increases on its own.If I turn it down you can watch it immediately increase itself back to full volume and then it will continually chirp that its at full volume. It's like the side button is stuck but it isn't.I can power off the phone and even pull the battery and reboot and it will be fine for a short while and then the problem will begin again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I have the headphones (standard, no controls) plugged in and media playing, the ringer will only ring at the level the media is set at. You can move the slider back and forth but it will stop increasing the volume for the ringer when it gets to the media slider setting. If I increase media slider, the volume for ringer will increase. It will go lower when reduced below media setting. The volume for the media setting seems to be a cap for all volume while headphones are inserted. It must be a bug in GB because Verizon was able to reproduce it. I need the phone to ring loud when under these specific conditions as I get called to go to work, it HAS to be able to wake me up. Ive performed a full factory reset and asked if I can go back to Froyo without a root and, no dice.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAny way to increase (and maintain) a louder volume from the speaker while using speakerphone or Bluetooth speaker? My Maxx was awesome!! I thought for sure when I got the Turbo it would be equivalent.
I often find myself disappointed in the output. The really strange part is that I swear that it changes somehow. One phone call on speakerphone is great. Same number calls back later and not so much! I didn't change anything. I then try to increase my volume to no avail. My Bluetooth does that as well watching a YouTube video. I can start the video nice and loud. Stop it for a bit to return later and I can't hear the dang thing.
I use all factory Android software without any additional apps, etc. for volume controls. All levels are set to high. No droppage or any damage to the speaker or phone.
Most notably is the alarm. There have been days that it is very loud and others I had to make sure the volume was turned up because it was pretty quiet. Luckily I was up this morning and waited for my alarm to go off. It went off but it was very quiet, if I was still asleep there is no way I would have heard it which is opposite yesterday because it woke my wife up it was so loud. I have changed the tone but it hasn't made any difference.

I swear it used to be louder. I have gone into settings etc and nothing changes it. I haven't gotten it wet nor dropped it. I don't have pocket lint and crap in the way.
Almost every time I use my phone now the volume will fluctuate between normal and almost completely inaudible. I don't have time until at least Tuesday to possibly go to Verizon. So far turning it off and back on seems to knock it off for a few phone calls.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the droid turbo 32g. If I am listening to something on headphones and someone calls, the in call volume will be wake-the-dead loud. I can try to adjust the volume either before answering the call or after answering, but it makes no difference. It is loud enough that is uncomfortable to keep the speaker against my ear. I'd say this happens about 75% of the time. I can't figure out why it occasionally works correctly.

View 2 Replies View RelatedVerizon XT1254 Moto Droid Turbo, android version 5.1.About once a week I notice that my phone is on silent ringer, I might catch a call because I feel the vibe, or see a missed call. I check where the ring volume is and the slider is all the way to the left on silent. Pushing the vol up hardware key does nothing, touch and slide the slider and it will snap back to silent as soon as you lift your finger. I do have moto assist set to silence the phone from 11pm to 730am, but this problem seems to happen during the day, not just stuck from the nightly mute and the moto assist notification is not up on the screen. If I require the phone to ring at night, there is no problem just moving the slider and moto assist does not interfere.
I have checked through settings, tried multiple ways to raise the volume but nothing works. The only fix is to turn off the phone and then back on again. BTW, what happened to the quick menu that was under the lock button with a long hold that would allow volume changes, vibe on or off, airplane mode and restart? My Gzone has all that under a long press of the lock button.
I have noticed that my speaker volume is very low after I disconnect from my Bluetooth stereo. It has become a problem because I have missed my alarm the next morning because I don't hear it. I have narrowed it down to the Bluetooth being the issue but I don't know how to fix it. Do I not disconnect correctly?

I'm always turning down my volume, just to get a full blast text alert that startles me right out of my seat. On previous phones (including other Motorola droids) all notification volume settings were linked and changed as one. Why is that not a thing anymore? How does that not just make the most sense? I know there are apps out there that could do this, but I don't want to have to download another app to simplify something that should be simple in the first place.

The most recent update mentions that you've "Added Support to control Notification Volume along with Ringer Volume". I had assumed that this had fixed my problem that I had with this application, but was greatly confused when it didn't.I want an action to adjust my Ringer Volume and an action to adjust my Notification Volume. I want them to be separate settings, not combined. I have read multiple threads posted previously in this forum from people complaining that they need to have the volume of their notifications all the way up, or their ringer volume up while they are sleeping for work.As a Systems Administrator I want to be able to sleep at night. I don't want to hear pinging from people emailing me at 4 AM. I work for a company that has associates all over the world, so this happens regularly. I understand that you want to keep the application streamlined and as simple as possible, but it really will not cause confusion to have the same volume sliders that Android has within settings. It does not seem like it would be that difficult to add the 4 volume sliders for Media, Ringtone, Notifications, and Alarms. It would actually make MUCH more sense to users than it does now. (Especially considering I spent an hour and a half on the phone with support over a poorly worded update description)
I'm still new to Samsung and it's on Cricket. Anyway I've finely figured out how to get into the file system with QPST. BitPim wasn't working for me. What has anyone else done from here? Can you add brew apps to the phone? Or change any system settings? What would really be good is if I could eliminate the ascending volume ring when calls come in. My girl friend has the Samsung My Shot II and it does not have that stupid ascending ring. I know with my last phone (UTStarcom / AudioVox) you could edit some files and get rid of some default sound efx and other stuff. I have the R560

If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!
View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery app I have that requires volume to listen works fine. But when I close the app, my ringer volume level is still in app mode volume. The app volume completely takes over my ringer volume level although in settings it never really changed. In order for me to get my ringer volume back to it's set volume, I have to go into settings and move the volume up or down. Then and only then do I have control over the ringer volume with the buttons on the side of the phone.

I've seen this issue covered in a few non-motorola forums. Despite the fact the I have the ringer turned on, a ringtone selected and the volume turned up, I don't get a ring during incoming calls.Powering the phone off and on seems to be a temporary fix, but (according to the non-motorola forums), the issue may have something to do with a smart battery profile (something I did not enable) and can only be permanently fixed by a factory reset.If that's what it takes, I'm more likely to return the phone and find a model without this bug.

The phone ringer stopped working and I have to completely shut off the phone and turn it back on to get it to work, but then it will randomly stop working again. Also, the camera will take a picture but when you go to the gallery the picture is not there and it just shows a generic icon. I've done a factory reset on the phone twice and the issues keep coming back.

This option defeats the whole purpose or meaning of silent mode, it's a no go. The other option is vibrate only on silent mode, again not very well thought of Motorola. So i want no ringer, vibrate only without compromising my silent mode because when i want complete silence the vibrator has to go as well.

On my DX it was lower and never was completely covered. Not a complaint, just surprised as I missed a few calls due to the phone sitting on my car seat and sofa.

I also noticed that sometimes the ringer volume is fully silent even if I havent adjusted it. I did do a software repair & it rang for just a few times after that but Im back square one!
