Noticed that the speakerphone volume all the way up is not loud? Regardless of playing music or using speakerphone either on a call or watching a YouTube video, it just stinks.
I swear it used to be louder. I have gone into settings etc and nothing changes it. I haven't gotten it wet nor dropped it. I don't have pocket lint and crap in the way.
Any way to increase (and maintain) a louder volume from the speaker while using speakerphone or Bluetooth speaker? My Maxx was awesome!! I thought for sure when I got the Turbo it would be equivalent.
I often find myself disappointed in the output. The really strange part is that I swear that it changes somehow. One phone call on speakerphone is great. Same number calls back later and not so much! I didn't change anything. I then try to increase my volume to no avail. My Bluetooth does that as well watching a YouTube video. I can start the video nice and loud. Stop it for a bit to return later and I can't hear the dang thing.
I use all factory Android software without any additional apps, etc. for volume controls. All levels are set to high. No droppage or any damage to the speaker or phone.
Since I updated last week, my phone has been randomly switching itself to a loud profile on its own.

It's just easier to hold and talk with it in my hand in front of my body or else I set the phone on my desk. My screen time out is set to two minutes, so after I've talked for a couple of minutes my screen goes black. Then, when I'm ready to say good-bye, I can't figure out how to get back to the phone active screen! If I were holding it to my head it would automatically go to the phone screen, but when on speaker it doesn't. As a result I usually wait for the other party to hang up the phone. Tapping the power button doesn't do it.
How to I return to the phone screen after my screen has timed out and I'm on speakerphone?
Has anyone found a setting for the volume of the shutter sound that occurs when you take a screenshot of the RAZR MAXX on ICS? It seems much louder than any other sound effect on the phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got the Razr HD on Thursday when it became available and I love it so far. I connected my Sony Bluetooth stereo headset (url...). So, not the typical one ear peice just for answering calls. I got them because I listen to music on phone while at the gym and the wire from my old headset kept getting in the way. So, these worked great with the Droid X, never had a problem. I connected them to my Razr HD and the volume instantly goes the the max and cannot be turn down. I use the volume rocker and the volume stays at the max volume until I turn the volume all the way down at which point there is no sound. I can't find a bluetooth volume slider in the sound volume settings and the "Music, Video, Games, & other media" volume control isn't doing anything to adjust the volume for my headset. The headset does not have a volume control of its own and right now I can't use it becuase it is way too loud. I know there ways to be able to adjust the volume for each device independently on custom roms and rooted devices why can't these simple things be added to "stock" roms? Anyone know how to get the volumes to work without having to go to a custom ROM?
View 9 Replies View RelatedMost notably is the alarm. There have been days that it is very loud and others I had to make sure the volume was turned up because it was pretty quiet. Luckily I was up this morning and waited for my alarm to go off. It went off but it was very quiet, if I was still asleep there is no way I would have heard it which is opposite yesterday because it woke my wife up it was so loud. I have changed the tone but it hasn't made any difference.

Almost every time I use my phone now the volume will fluctuate between normal and almost completely inaudible. I don't have time until at least Tuesday to possibly go to Verizon. So far turning it off and back on seems to knock it off for a few phone calls.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the droid turbo 32g. If I am listening to something on headphones and someone calls, the in call volume will be wake-the-dead loud. I can try to adjust the volume either before answering the call or after answering, but it makes no difference. It is loud enough that is uncomfortable to keep the speaker against my ear. I'd say this happens about 75% of the time. I can't figure out why it occasionally works correctly.

View 2 Replies View RelatedVerizon XT1254 Moto Droid Turbo, android version 5.1.About once a week I notice that my phone is on silent ringer, I might catch a call because I feel the vibe, or see a missed call. I check where the ring volume is and the slider is all the way to the left on silent. Pushing the vol up hardware key does nothing, touch and slide the slider and it will snap back to silent as soon as you lift your finger. I do have moto assist set to silence the phone from 11pm to 730am, but this problem seems to happen during the day, not just stuck from the nightly mute and the moto assist notification is not up on the screen. If I require the phone to ring at night, there is no problem just moving the slider and moto assist does not interfere.
I have checked through settings, tried multiple ways to raise the volume but nothing works. The only fix is to turn off the phone and then back on again. BTW, what happened to the quick menu that was under the lock button with a long hold that would allow volume changes, vibe on or off, airplane mode and restart? My Gzone has all that under a long press of the lock button.
I have noticed that my speaker volume is very low after I disconnect from my Bluetooth stereo. It has become a problem because I have missed my alarm the next morning because I don't hear it. I have narrowed it down to the Bluetooth being the issue but I don't know how to fix it. Do I not disconnect correctly?

I'm always turning down my volume, just to get a full blast text alert that startles me right out of my seat. On previous phones (including other Motorola droids) all notification volume settings were linked and changed as one. Why is that not a thing anymore? How does that not just make the most sense? I know there are apps out there that could do this, but I don't want to have to download another app to simplify something that should be simple in the first place.

I know its the phone cause I have paired the headset(s) w/ other devices, and the volume will go down all the way. Tried an app (Volume Ace Free) and it did nothing. Bottom line is when media volume is set to minimum its still WAY too loud. This is not an issue w/ wired headphones.

Just this past week, I have started having an issue with the volume of the built in speakers. I first noticed it on speakerphone. When Speakerphone is first activated and turned all the way, it is loud (as loud as it has always been since new) but then within about 1-2 seconds, it gets quite a bit softer. If I am in a very quiet location, it is loud enough to use, if the location has any noise above dead quiet, the speakerphone is too soft to use.
I can repeat this over and over again, turn off speakerphone, and turn on again and the same thing happens first loud then much softer in 1 to 2 seconds. Moving the volume slider using the side rocker does not make the sound any louder either. When it is on speakerphone and I move it down from 100% volume to 0% volume, it does not start to get softer until I get down to about 25%. When I move it from 0% up to 100%, it seems to stop getting louder at about 25%, almost like there is a volume limiter on it preventing it from getting too loud.
I though about a factory reset but I hate to have to go through the hassle of re-installing everything if this might be a hardware issue.
I also see a similar behavior in Sirius XM Radio where it is loud at first (when started with 100% volume) then it makes it much quieter
More recently, my droid turbo has been turning rainbow colors instead of black with the time when it's charging. If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy mic does not work in speakerphone mode. I does however work in normal phone mode, and at the same distances that it does not work in speaker mode. Google voice search works just fine. I'm certain that the mic is not the problem. A factory reset did not solve the issue.

Obviously I would need to bring the display back up so I can tap the speakerphone button, but I can't seem to get the display to come back while in the call. If I briefly tap the power button, the call is dropped. Touching the volume or camera button won't bring the display back, so what is one to do? Drop the call and call them back?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI see that the Bionic users are complaing of this issue, but don't see it here with the Droid 4 users.(My Droid 2 did it as well).The tone happens at the end of a call no matter who is terminating the call or whether the phone is BT or not. I see no way to turn this off or control the volume with the Droid 4 without turning the whole notification process off.The problem is most severe when I BT to my car stereo as the tone is especially loud because of the car stereo volume. Ironically, if the call drops, there is no termination tone, which is the one time at least you could appreciate some sort of notification. Often I am talking away after the call drops and will have no idea that the call dropped. Ideally, this tone should be volume controlled independently of other notification tones.
View 6 Replies View RelatedToday I discovered my speakerphone was not working. On phone calls, the speakerphone light comes on but the audio only comes from the earpiece. Every few calls, the speakerphone starts working midway through the call. On Skype video calls, the same thing. The audio comes only from the earpiece. I have removed and reinstalled Skype. No change. The ringer works as do all the notifications so the speaker is working. I have tried disabling bluethooth to make sure it was not interfering. No change.

I also went to the Verizon store and tried out a display Razr M and it had the same problem. This is very noticeable over headphones when listening in a quiet room.
