Motorola Droid Razr HD :: Bluetooth Stereo Headset Volume Too Loud
Oct 20, 2012
I just got the Razr HD on Thursday when it became available and I love it so far. I connected my Sony Bluetooth stereo headset (url...). So, not the typical one ear peice just for answering calls. I got them because I listen to music on phone while at the gym and the wire from my old headset kept getting in the way. So, these worked great with the Droid X, never had a problem. I connected them to my Razr HD and the volume instantly goes the the max and cannot be turn down. I use the volume rocker and the volume stays at the max volume until I turn the volume all the way down at which point there is no sound. I can't find a bluetooth volume slider in the sound volume settings and the "Music, Video, Games, & other media" volume control isn't doing anything to adjust the volume for my headset. The headset does not have a volume control of its own and right now I can't use it becuase it is way too loud. I know there ways to be able to adjust the volume for each device independently on custom roms and rooted devices why can't these simple things be added to "stock" roms? Anyone know how to get the volumes to work without having to go to a custom ROM?
Has anyone found a setting for the volume of the shutter sound that occurs when you take a screenshot of the RAZR MAXX on ICS? It seems much louder than any other sound effect on the phone.
I have noticed that my speaker volume is very low after I disconnect from my Bluetooth stereo. It has become a problem because I have missed my alarm the next morning because I don't hear it. I have narrowed it down to the Bluetooth being the issue but I don't know how to fix it. Do I not disconnect correctly?
Well, 181 was SUPPOSED to cure that evil end of call tone while making a call on a bluetooth connection. It nearly breaks my eardrums after every call.I've installed 181. Verified that I have 181 installed. Looked at every possible option to see if there was a way to silence the end of call tone. Nothing. The end of call tone is as loud as ever, post update. I know ICS has a switch for this - at least I am told it is there.
Anyone having problems with bluetooth headsets dropping connections? I have a Motorola H17txt and Bose Series II, both will start cutting in and out, then completely drop the connection after about five minutes.
Any bluetooth headset I pair with my photon is too loud. Yes, I turned the volume down on headset and phone. I know its the phone cause I have paired the headset(s) w/ other devices, and the volume will go down all the way. Tried an app (Volume Ace Free) and it did nothing. Bottom line is when media volume is set to minimum its still WAY too loud. This is not an issue w/ wired headphones.
Noticed that the speakerphone volume all the way up is not loud? Regardless of playing music or using speakerphone either on a call or watching a YouTube video, it just stinks.
I swear it used to be louder. I have gone into settings etc and nothing changes it. I haven't gotten it wet nor dropped it. I don't have pocket lint and crap in the way.
For some reason my playbook is not connecting to my stereo Bluetooth headset(SonyEricsson MW600). Manage to add it to my playbook but its not connecting.
I have a stereo with no bluetooth, but would like to stream Pandora or other music from my phone to the stereo. Now, I use an aux. cable from the headphone jack to the aux on the stereo, but I hate having the cable running from the phone to the stereo. Anybody know of a bluetooth adapter that plugs into a stereo to do this?
I"m looking for the settings for the wired headset. There was a screen that allowed you to set sound effects and I believe equalizer settings. Was this screen eliminated? I can't seem to find it.
I use BeyondPod with headset controls enabled and they work when the screen is on. When it turns off and the Razr lockscreen has been activated for a few minutes, headset controls no longer work. I'm not sure if this is a problem in Android or Motorola, but I didn't have this problem with BeyondPod on my Droid.
my S10 HD which has great volume with phone calls but volume is too low when playing music Did a reset but no luck...Am I missing something I have tried 3 different headsets and all are the same
Music volume is too low to hear but phone calls are fine did a reset and it was ok once but has never been the same volume as volume with wired earphones am I missing something?
I have been trying to get my bluetooth earpiece to work while video chatting on gtalk. So far I have not been able to do so. I have a Motorola earpiece that is about 4 years old. The model Number is HS850.
I purchased the Moto Elite Sliver because my Plantronics Pro HD would drop its bluetooth every single time a call was answered or placed. I did a little research and found it may be related to a conflict with the 2.0 headset and 4.0 phone. Moto Sliver is BT 3.0 and was working great until this week. Now every single time a call is disconnected, the headset disconnects and reconnects. Reboots galore, problem still exists. Uninstall/reinstall Motospeak, problem still exists. Sometimes the bluetooth will not connect at all (reboot required). The Droid RAZR Maxx and the Elite Sliver are supposed to be state of the art MOTOROLA, I make a living with my phone and headset.
I have found it almost impossible to get a wired headset to work on my bionic when in my car (which has built in bluetooth, and which is bonded to the phone just fine). The only way I can make the wired headset take precedence over the bluetooth, and/or the phone's speaker phone, is to:
1. Make a call in the car (any mode). 2. Plug in headset. 3. Click on the phone's speaker icon (headset works for 1/2 second before sound reverts to bionic's speakerphone). 4. Unplug and plug the headset into the bionic, often 2 or 3 times.
Obviously this sucks and would cause a terrible accident if one were driving and doing all these procedures. I have read every documentation on the phone to no avail. I have called Motorola twice, to no avail (and was hung up on by the tech), and called Verizon tech, who also hung up on me.
i don't want posts stating this has been reported before-the search enging sux on here.
as soon i turn off the wifi, the call quality goes back to normal. is this yet another bug? will it be fixed with an update? what's the story on this moto?
I got my Razr Maxx replaced under Asurion warranty, got sent a "Certified Like New" from Verizon, and I can't hear people through the earpiece. It's way quieter than my other phone, even at the loudest volume, and then it crackles at that volume. Can I fix this myself or do I need to take it to Verizon and demand that they give me a good phone without having to pay their crap replacement fee?
I would like to have my bluetooth headset read my texts with the ability to reply. Is there an app available or something built in the turbo that will allow me to do this? I currently have a Plantronics explorer 505.
Is it just me or with the upgrade to JB has Moto taken the colume controls on this phone and downgraded the performance of the speaker?
Having mild hearing loss I loved the fact that with this phone my ringtones and notification sounds could wake up the dead. For normal situations I would have to slide the volume controls to the mid point of the slide bar, but when I was in a noisy environment I could slide the controls all the way to the right and be sure I wouldn't miss a call. Now after the upgrade it seems like even with the slider controls all the way to the right the volume is no where nearly as loud as it used to be.
Is this just me or did Moto make a change with the update? If so is there anyway to get back to the pehnenomal speaker performance we had under ICS?
Is there a setting that would allow the volume to be adjusted while in a call without taking the phone away from my face. the volume key should not lock out when the screen turns off during a call.
