Anyone having problems with bluetooth headsets dropping connections? I have a Motorola H17txt and Bose Series II, both will start cutting in and out, then completely drop the connection after about five minutes.
View 4 RepliesI just got the Razr HD on Thursday when it became available and I love it so far. I connected my Sony Bluetooth stereo headset (url...). So, not the typical one ear peice just for answering calls. I got them because I listen to music on phone while at the gym and the wire from my old headset kept getting in the way. So, these worked great with the Droid X, never had a problem. I connected them to my Razr HD and the volume instantly goes the the max and cannot be turn down. I use the volume rocker and the volume stays at the max volume until I turn the volume all the way down at which point there is no sound. I can't find a bluetooth volume slider in the sound volume settings and the "Music, Video, Games, & other media" volume control isn't doing anything to adjust the volume for my headset. The headset does not have a volume control of its own and right now I can't use it becuase it is way too loud. I know there ways to be able to adjust the volume for each device independently on custom roms and rooted devices why can't these simple things be added to "stock" roms? Anyone know how to get the volumes to work without having to go to a custom ROM?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen Bluetooth is turned on, my data connection will disappear (i.e. the 3G or 4G icon on my screen will go away) sometime between 30 min to 2 hours after turning phone on (different length each time). I can still make calls, but the data connection is gone until I restart the phone.WiFi will still be able to connect.If bluetooth is not turned on, the data connection is fine, both 3G and 4G and wifi.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have this problem on my new RAZR MAXX as well as my Bionic.After using a Bluetooth stereo headset or Bluetooth in the car, once the connection drops, the phone's speaker stops working for awhile.For instance, you might get a call and the phone doesn't ring, or you might play some music and the speaker is silent.This usually clears up after stopping and starting the music again, or if you get a second phone call it will ring.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSeveral times/day now my droid razr HD loses all connectivity. No wifi, no 3g/4g/1x anything. All the indicators are grey and I can't connect to anything. Usually what I have to do is go into airplane mode and then back out and then things are back. I can't say for sure but I thought there was a time or two where I had to do a power cycle to get things back. Not positive about that. I've only had the phone for a few weeks, and I'm pretty sure it's always done this.

Initially, one of my accounts kept falling out of Push into Fetch.Last night I did a factory reset to see if that would help. Of course, to make things interesting, this morning I had the new firmware update waiting to be installed, so I let that go in.Strange enough, now both my accounts are falling from push to fetch. Im a long time DX user, so I'm sure I have my settings correct. When I run that "verify server" it comes back with "success" Doing some searching, I got a hit on the Bionic forum, but no resolution....[URL]
View 4 Replies View RelatedHave just recently bought a Motorola Razr M which is running stock ICS on Telstra in Australia. I am having constant problems with wifi connections dropping in and out whilst at home. It basically will display very good signal then all of a sudden drop out completely and reconnect. This happens without me moving or changing my hand position, sometimes whilst browsing web or downloading and sometimes whilst not using internet at all. It can happen as often as every few seconds or it may go 5-10 minutes before it starts. No other device I own has these problems, including my Motorola Atrix. I have spent hours changing settings in the modem (2.4g only) but nothing makes ANY difference. This is definitely a phone related problem (bug, hardware etc).
View 9 Replies View RelatedOn my Razr M, from time to time the phone will stop getting mail. Push is on. Normally works fine, however in the last few days, I'll notice that there is no mail and the last update was hours ago. If I reboot the phone, it all works again. Three different exchange accounts on the phone and the problem happens will all three accounts at the same time. When this does happen, I still have internet connectivity. Wifi or 4g makes no difference.

When it turns off and the Razr lockscreen has been activated for a few minutes, headset controls no longer work. I'm not sure if this is a problem in Android or Motorola, but I didn't have this problem with BeyondPod on my Droid.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased the Moto Elite Sliver because my Plantronics Pro HD would drop its bluetooth every single time a call was answered or placed. I did a little research and found it may be related to a conflict with the 2.0 headset and 4.0 phone. Moto Sliver is BT 3.0 and was working great until this week. Now every single time a call is disconnected, the headset disconnects and reconnects. Reboots galore, problem still exists. Uninstall/reinstall Motospeak, problem still exists. Sometimes the bluetooth will not connect at all (reboot required). The Droid RAZR Maxx and the Elite Sliver are supposed to be state of the art MOTOROLA, I make a living with my phone and headset.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have found it almost impossible to get a wired headset to work on my bionic when in my car (which has built in bluetooth, and which is bonded to the phone just fine). The only way I can make the wired headset take precedence over the bluetooth, and/or the phone's speaker phone, is to:
1. Make a call in the car (any mode).
2. Plug in headset.
3. Click on the phone's speaker icon (headset works for 1/2 second before sound reverts to bionic's speakerphone).
4. Unplug and plug the headset into the bionic, often 2 or 3 times.
Obviously this sucks and would cause a terrible accident if one were driving and doing all these procedures. I have read every documentation on the phone to no avail. I have called Motorola twice, to no avail (and was hung up on by the tech), and called Verizon tech, who also hung up on me.

View 9 Replies View Relatedif it is possible to have automatic connection for a Bluetooth headset? My Plantonics Voyager Pro worked fine with my E71 just enable bluetooth on the phone and it connected. On my N8 I have to manually connect to the headset everytime, which is a pain.
Am I doing something wrong?, or is this feature not available on the N8?
I am having issues streaming music over 3G and 4G netowrks.It works great over a WIFI connection just not over the 3 and 4g netowrks.My laptop is a Macbook pro.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI searched around and found a few forums dealing with similar issues and the previous models of the Razr, but couldn't find any solutions. I purchased a Razr M yesterday and cannot get the hotspot to function. I can connect the computer to the hotspot and I can see that connection on both the phone and the laptop, but I have no internet connection. I previously had an HTC Incredible and it worked with no issues. I have tried disabling the security, re-naming the connection, changing the channel in the hotspot settings and even changing the client start address. this is really frustrating to me because it is the primary use of this phone. (or at least it's supposed to be) has there been any solution to this issue in the previous models I missed? is anyone else having this problem?

I have successfully established the connection, but often have to reboot the phone in order to get the connection established. At this point, I have been unable to figure out the pattern of when I can no longer get connected. I have turned off all Smart Actions that manipulate the GPS connection, I have tried leaving it on all the time, or off when I am not outside, nothing consistent that I can figure out.
View 8 Replies View RelatedReally poor day with the phone today. All day (motly midtown Manhattan) my phone was bouncing from 3G to 4G to white indicators. It was getting very hot. Tried power down, airplane mode, it was not staying connected to Google and chewing through the battery. I was in and out of areas with poor/no signal a few times but for the most part I was in a good signal area (3 bars). I was able to get calls and had three bars (even when the indicators were white) as I expected
View 9 Replies View RelatedBefore I had the Vehicle Navigation Dock, when I turned on navigation and the radio was on, the turn by turn voice went through the car radio. If the radio was off, it played through the phone speaker. Now that I have the dock, if Bluetooth is active, the voice doesn't play at all. I have to turn Bluetooth off in the phone to hear the turn by turn. This isn't optimal because then I can't use the phone over bluetooth. Is there a setting to have the voice always go over the phone speaker?

My apologies if it is there already.Having the issue that has basically kept me from using smart actions, i had smart actions setup to disable background data when the screen is off, not charging and no movement is detected. The problem is when i turn on back the screen and begin to use the device the 4g icon stays white the whole time, and the data connection does not kick in at all. I usually end up having to put the device to sleep or airplane mode or rebooting all together to restore the data connection

Mine turns white when the screen goes to sleep and takes some time to turn back blue. i have checked the advanced settings, and it is set to Always keep WiFi on during sleep. When it is white, I don't get email, Gmail Chat, etc. As soon as it turns blue, I receive email, and Chat messages.

I will watch as my data connection goes from 4g to 3g to nothing as i am standing in the same spotI am just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue? I have used about 10 gigs this month but i don't think i am getting throttled ( if Verizon even does that).
