Jul 6, 2012Anyone having problems with bluetooth headsets dropping connections? I have a Motorola H17txt and Bose Series II, both will start cutting in and out, then completely drop the connection after about five minutes.

Jun 18, 2011I use a Bluetooth headset to listen to music that I have on the SD card but would also appreciate the option of listening to the radio on occasion. The problem is that the radio will only work once the wired headset is connected, as the cable is used as an aerial. Is there any way in which I can overcome this problem. I have tried plugging the wired heaset in so that the radio works through that, but then there is no sound through the Bluetooth headset. For the record, I have experienced an irritating problem since having upgraded to 2.3. I downloaded a few skins off the HTC Hub after which the downloading notification arrows on the top information bar as well as the download information on the information sheet could not be removed. I tried many options, to the extent of even deleting the apps concerned, but the notifications remained. The only way that I was able to clear them was to perform a full factory reset causing much information to be lost. I wonder how many others have experienced the same problem. Other than this the upgrade did improve a number of functions.

Apr 11, 2011On my DesireHD I cannot make voicedial from my motorcycle helmet BT headset (happens to be a Cardo Scala Rider set). So here is how it worked with my 3 year old Nokia E71 symbian phone (same BT headset):
Push the call button on headsetPhone confirmed with a beepI spoke the name of who I want to call in the micPhone used voice recognition to match in my address book, and read back a suggestion with a synthesized voiceIf I agreed I just waited and let it call, if not, I called off with the buttonI do have voice search activated on my DesireHD phone, but it doesn't help voicedialing from the headset. Needless to say, I cannot pull out the phone while I drive the motorcycle to dial.
Nokia :: E75 Dropping WPA2-PSK Wi-Fi Constantly
Feb 5, 2010I've set up my E75 to use Spotify Mobile over wifi to synchronize music without going over the 3G-net costing lots.But it drops the connection constantly and it seems to coincide pretty much with the powersave functionality of the phone.
-Phone firmware is 201.12.01
-The connection is a WPA2-PSK to a Netgear WGR614
-I have tried various channles but the problem remains.
-I have tried changing to WPA-PSK and Unprotected, but to no good.
-Signalstrength of wireless connection reports around 70-80%.
-If there are no active traffic on connection it seems to stay online but when the traffic start the connection drops.
Xperia Z5 :: WiFi Almost Constantly Dropping During Use
Jul 3, 2010I got the xperia z5 for Christmas and noticed that the WiFi was almost constantly dropping during use. I brought the phone back and got a replacement but it occurs with the new one too as it seems its a well known problem.
Basically, my wifi just drops during use and it requires me to turn wifi off and back on again so it will reconnect. I could easily do this 5 times within a couple of minutes, other times it will barely happen.

May 23, 2012Since yesterday morning now both wifi and 3g have been dropping like mad on my phone--the icon will just disappear and I will have no internet signal at all, and sometimes orange will completely drop out (which is normal because my house gets bad reception in some areas. Sometimes the circle appears and I can get a slow connection for a moment before everything completely drops. The phone is only 4 months old and hasn't been dropped at all. I've tried the drain battery option and the airplane also one, but nothing is working at all.

May 3, 2014Ever since I got my Sprint Galaxy S5 phone, it drops it's Wifi connection constantly. I have taken the phone back to Sprint and they assure me that it is fine. However, in the mean time it is still dropping the Wifi and now i am getting charged over usage charges for going over my 1GB limit..

Very often, while Im in the games, it will say it is searching for the network, or it is doesn't have a network connection.I've switched to WiFi when I can, and still have the issue.I've noticed when I look at he phone now, the 4G symbol is white, then turns blue.seem to remember it always being blue.Does it sound like it's the games having the issue, the games causing the issue, or an issue with the phone?I would prefer to NOT do a hard reset. It scans, sees the SSID, connects, authenticates the encryption, then drops the connection, only to scan and reconnect again in a constant cycle.Wireless router is a Netcomm NP800n on latest firmware. Tried both WPA and WPA2, tried the Xoom with a static IP and tried rebooting both devices.Xoom is on Honeycomb 3.2.2, system version 0.268.4.MZ616.AsiaRetail.en.03 and wifi disconnect policy is set to never.
Motorola Photon 4G :: Wifi Constantly Dropping Pre & Post Update
Aug 30, 2011Have noticed that my Photon can't seem to hold a WIFI connection. I can be sitting right next to my router, and it will drop the connection and start scanning again. Have noticed the same thing with other wifi connections at work. Also the WIFI connection sometimes goes dormant/gray and won't wake up on its own. The only solution is to turn the wifi connection off/on, or to cycle the power on the router. Not sure if its a setting that kills the connection after a period of inactivity, have looked in the settings but can't seem to find anything. I have had this problem pre and post update, but am frustrated as I've just passed my 30 days to return the phone easily if something is wrong with the phone.

Jun 3, 2011I've downloaded the same task killer onto my desire s as I had onto my hero but with the desire there are always several apps running minutes after I've killed them. I've had to configure the task killer to kill apps every 30 mins. I don't think the task killer is to blame as it works well enough on the hero but maybe android 2.2 is overriding it. The task killer is 'advanced task killer v1.9.6 build 76' by Rechild. Is this normal behaviour for android 2.2 or is the task killer app simply not coping?

Dec 15, 2010This afternoon, randomly, the headset icon appeared in my taskbar on my HTC Hero. I'm running the latest software. It obviously means I can't hear anyone who calls nor can they hear me. I've had a look online and the general consensus was to download an app called Toogle Headset. I found Toggle Headset 2 and downloaded it (and paid for it). I've added it to my homescreen as told and the little box shows up with the 'on' green status but pressing it doesn't set the headset status to off. In fact tapping it doesn't seem to do anything. Is there another way to toggle off the headset setting or am I doing something wrong with the Toggle Headset app?

Dec 10, 2014I have myiphone 6 withios 8.1.1 connected to my 2013 Honda Pilot with Bluetooth. Everything works fine when I am listening to music with the native music app. However, when I make or receive a phone call thebluetooth drops in and out every couple of minutes. How do I stop it from dropping out? It makes usingbluetooth for a phone call useless. And why would it work for hours on end if it is only playing music but won't work for more than a minute on a phone call?

Xperia Z2 :: WiFi Dropping When Connected To Bluetooth
Dec 15, 2014I am having a strange issue when using both Bluetooth and Wifi simultaneously.
This happens pretty regularly when using the Spotify app whilst having the phone audio connected to a Bluetooth speaker. The pairing process works without issue. However, as soon as I begin searching the app for music, and select a track for playing, the WiFi connection drops. Sometimes It eventually reconnects, other times I have to go back to settings and manually select the network once again.
During the connection drop, I can still see the Wifi network and all my other devices still remain connected. Rebooting the doesnt fix it, nor does disabling/enabling the wifi. Its rendering the phone useless for music streaming!

Jun 2, 2014iPhone5 drops audio (music) playback to the handsfree built into my car. This happens about 40% of the time and after a few seconds. I have to disable bluetooth, wait and reenable. I've seen it drop after longer, but typically it's seconds into connecting and starting playback. Before upgrading to iOS 7.1.1 this never happened. Phone is placed in cup holder in center console so signal strength should not be an issue.Â
Not sure if the phone's handfree part would still work. I am suspecting that it does not.Â

Motorola Webtop Docks :: Car - Dropping Bluetooth On Calls
May 3, 2011Whenever my Atrix is in the car dock when I'm on a phone call, the bluetooth will disconnect and the phone speaker comes on. It intermittently will reconnect/disconnect bouncing between the car speakers and the phone speaker. I've tried using another car dock, another USB cable and 3 different USB car chargers.
Music works fine on the bluetooth but once I take a phone call is when all the troubles start.

When I'm on a call my phone will drop the connection to the car handsfree link and revert to the phone (you can still see the bluetooth icon lit) whenever I receive a notification for anything. If it's a text, email, or whatever the call will suddenly cut out go to the phone and then 10 seconds later or so reconnect to the car stereo.

Dec 24, 2014I've run across an issue, not sure if it's since this last Sprint M8 update (3.31.654.2), or if it started a day or two prior, but using my Blueant Q3 Bluetooth headset, the phone's mic only works, not the headset mic. I couldn't figure out why when walking around the room people where saying I was getting very quiet. I re-paired the unit tried a couple of other ones and tested using a voice recording app, to discover the phones mic is only working.... Tested using the wired HK ear bud set that came with it and it uses the wired headset mic.
