I was wondering if it were possible, and hopefully free, to use my mac's isight and speakers as a bluetooth audio 'headset' for my iphone... in a similar way that I use my car's stereo as a speakerphone....

I was able to update my 16GB 3GS to iOS4 without a hitch, that is until I paired it up with my Contour Design SurfaceSound Compact Bluetooth handsfree car kit. Upon syncing the device would confirm pairing to the phone by announcing "handset connected". However, after updating to iOS4 the device would continually announce "handset connected" every minute or so (quite annoying). I've tried unpairing it to my iPhone and then repairing it but the problem continued.
However, I did find a workaround to this problem. I noticed that if I left my iPhone on the Bluetooth screen (within the Settings), the pairing takes place but it doesn't force my car kit from announcing "handset connected" every minute. Aside from not being able to switch to another screen or application, pressing the power button (turn off the display) will bring this "bug" back.
At least the iPod functions still work and I can take incoming phone calls...hopefully Apple fixes this annoyance soon.
Is there an Auto connect bluetooth headset option? I hate having to always choose to send a phone call to my hands-free device. What's the point of a Bluetooth headset if I have to use the phone every time to connect to it?

My samsung wep460 pairs and works perfectly with my Nokia 5350. But it just won't pair with iPhone, My iPhone on the other hand can recognize other devices like my laptop but doesn't find the WEP460. But when an incoming call comes, why does not the phone ring? i can hear only from the bluetooth headset speaker. When I was using this very headset with my earlier phone the iPhone 4S, I could hear the incoming call on both the phone ringer and the headset.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've run across an issue, not sure if it's since this last Sprint M8 update (3.31.654.2), or if it started a day or two prior, but using my Blueant Q3 Bluetooth headset, the phone's mic only works, not the headset mic. I couldn't figure out why when walking around the room people where saying I was getting very quiet. I re-paired the unit tried a couple of other ones and tested using a voice recording app, to discover the phones mic is only working.... Tested using the wired HK ear bud set that came with it and it uses the wired headset mic.

I swapped it out with Verizon already and same issue. Been working with Jawbone with several units sent and even another model. Try a Samsung phone and it works great. Verizon says there is nothing else they can do at this point. They get HTC tech support on the phone and the end result was a clear "keep buying headsets until you find one that works". Really?

I cannot pair it with any bluetooth headset, specifically it doesn't detect any bluetooth headset (I've tried with 3 different models). I'm sure Bluetooth is working 'cause I can connect the device to my PC. I've already tried everything, I've set in pairing mode both the headsets and the device but still nothing. I've tried "listen" mode and "search" mode yet nothing work.

I just got a Blueant V1 bluetooth headset and everytime the milestone sleeps [screen auto goes off] my bluetooth will disconnect shortly after that. If I keep the screen on the connection seems fine. View 2 Replies View RelatedI use a Bluetooth headset to listen to music that I have on the SD card but would also appreciate the option of listening to the radio on occasion. The problem is that the radio will only work once the wired headset is connected, as the cable is used as an aerial. Is there any way in which I can overcome this problem. I have tried plugging the wired heaset in so that the radio works through that, but then there is no sound through the Bluetooth headset. For the record, I have experienced an irritating problem since having upgraded to 2.3. I downloaded a few skins off the HTC Hub after which the downloading notification arrows on the top information bar as well as the download information on the information sheet could not be removed. I tried many options, to the extent of even deleting the apps concerned, but the notifications remained. The only way that I was able to clear them was to perform a full factory reset causing much information to be lost. I wonder how many others have experienced the same problem. Other than this the upgrade did improve a number of functions.
