How can we use a bluetooth headset with Xperia X10 Mini Pro?I cannot see any option to configure the bluetooth devide or to transfer the ongoing call to bluetooth headset.NOTE: I have installed Bluetooth File Transfer App before to use bluetooth for file transfer.

The voice command interface does not appear and it doesn't work at all. Tried clearing data and doing other basic things but the problem keeps happening. For some reason when using a Bluetooth headset (Used a Sony MW1 Smart Wireless Headset Pro, set and a Fiat Blue&Me Car Bluetooth) the sound keeps breaking off both for me and the person I’m calling. I get long brake after witch the sound returns for a while.

When using a wired headset there is no issue like this. nor do I have the issue when i do regular phone calls using the sets

Furthermore sometimes the Bluetooth sound doesn’t turn on at all, so I get no sound neither on the loudspeaker nor on the Bluetooth set although the BT volume is set to max
When I press the button on the microphone on my MH700 headset it does not answer the call but instead hangs up like sliding the red icon on the screen rather than sliding the green one. This is opposite to the behaviour of the headseet delivered with the phone and obviously not the way I expect it to work. The MH700 is supposed to be compatible with the Xperia series according to the packaging. Is there a way to change the behaviour through any phone settings, or is this something I have to accept?

I've no problem connecting via USB.In 'Settings' -> 'Wireless & Network Settings' -> 'Bluetooth Settings' -> 'Bluetooth Devices' my laptop is visible, and underneath it says 'Pair with this device.When I press that I have a Bluetooth pairing request, which says 'To pair YOUR PC, confirm that it is showing the passkey: 123456' (number changes each time). I choose the 'Pair' option but keep getting back 'Attention - There was a problem pairing with YOUR PC because the pin or passkey is incorrect.' How do I enter this passkey? I get the feeling there's a simple solution to this that I'm missing. I've paired the phone with both the MBS 100 and 200 with no problems at all. The laptop is a Sony Vaio and bluetooth is definitely on - is there a compatibility issue between the two?

I tried to transfer few ringtones from my other handsets to it (Nokia 6300 and Sony P990i) bt it rejected from both of them. Bluetooth in all sets was on. X10 was set on discoverable mode. I paired it with both the sets and it got paired but mentioned that "Paired but not connected". What may be the reason?

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy problem is that it does connect with PC companion with USB, but not with bluetooth.It does get paired, the pc sees the phone, correct name, gives me the 4 digit code, and put them in the phone, but when I put in the phone, it seems ok, until PC Companion just says I cannot connect via BT, and tells me to try with USB cable.Why would I try with BT, for any other reason that not wanting to use the cable?Well, anyway, BT in the PC is ok (i used to connect with a Palm Treo 1 week ago), and BT in the phone is ok, it connect with car's handsfree.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just picked this very nice phone up yesterday from Point Roberts in Washington State, where I have an address box I use to get packages that can't be shipped to Vancouver, BC, Canada where I live. I got it from Amazon.com.When I got home and tried to connect ot my wi-fi net work it would say turning on wi-fi, and then it would turn off wi-fi! I called SE customer support and spent an hour on the phone with customer support and did the software upgrade to android 4, which they said would solve the problem. It didn't. When I click on wi-fi it still says turning on wi-fi, and gets no further. The scan and add network buttons don't function. The bluetooth does the same thing, won't turn on. They told me to try to connect to another network, but I told them it doesn't even turn on wi-fi so how can I connect to a network?I've tried the repair function and updated the software several times, but nothing changes, it always says wi-fi and bluetooth are turning on and get no further.
I found others on here who solved the problem with software, so I'm sure mine can be solved, just wanna know how. I've even tried using it with and without a sim card in it, but always the same result. WI-FI WON'T EVEN TURN ON!SE said it is defective and needs to be either returned to the store I got it at, which is in NY, or send it in for service. I just got it, it was brand new unopened and doesn't work. Before I bought it I did an online chat with them to make sure any unit bought in the USA would still have warranty service in Canada and was told yes, any SK17A had USA and Canada warranty regardless of if it's bought in Canada or the USA. Now of course after I bought it, the supervisor at SE customer support says he thinks it won't be covered under warranty in Canada because it was bought in the US!I also didn't realize that the headset connector is OMTP and not CTIA, which my Klispch S4A android earset is and won't work. I asked Sony if they make an adaptor between OMTP and CTIA and they said they don't, later on with some googling I found out they do!
I might have to buy the Livesound earset, since it gets me compatibility and adds remote functions. Problem is I don't know if the sound will be as good as my Klipsch, which are terrific. I like the phone, obviuosly just want it to work. If it does, I will probably buy the Livesound earset.Brand new phone is apparently defective. Was not told this wi-fi issue is a common problem and is posted all over the internet.When I called back today, they said they had no record of me in the system and I didn't actually call them yesterday! Sony is now doubting Canada warranty for USA phone they previously said was covered before I bought it.I might have to pay to send phone back to store, even though it is defective out of the box.OMTP headset plug is poorly indicated on Website. I would probably not have bought it knowing it is not CTIA compatible without adapter.Being not told the truth about headset adapter availablity.
My notebook has a windows vista operational system and I can't access the bluetooth device from my Xperia Mini Pro. The notebook operational system requires a driver.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOK, as you've helped me fix the last problem, here's another one.I have had 3 SE phones now, the last a K850i which worked like a dream. Before I upgraded to the x10 mini pro, I brought a new Fiat car, which has an integral bluetooth & media system called 'Blue & Me'.
Part of the 'Blue & Me' system was a feature that not only accepted phone calls to the car, but would also accept text messages and ask you if you would like it read out. This feature worked brilliantly with the 850i and was very handy.
However, since i got the x10 mini pro and connected it, it has never worked.
Is this because it is a smart phone and therefore they do not deal with text messages in the same way, or do I need to do something to get it working again?
I've looked through the car manual and can not see angthing to help.Obviously this is not the end of the world, but it would be nice if i could fix it.
My phones bluetooth pairs with other devices but does not connect. How can i make it connect?

After updating I turned on my phone and it started optimizing with my apps and that went well too. Then I was browsing through my phone's settings option and went to tethering and wifi hotspot option and turned on the bluetooth tethering. After that my phone rebooted and it keeps on rebooting on itself. It wont connect to my PC. I tried removing the battery but when I turn it on its the same thing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI´m the owner of a fantastic and great Xperia Mini (ST15i). I´ve been using it for 4 months, and it works and navigates really good. My prior mobile was the old Xperia X10 Mini (ST10i), another fantastic mini mobile phone.
The thing is that with my old ST10i, there was not problem for discovering the Handsfree Bluetooth of my Audi A4 2.0 TDI DPF 143CV (from the 2009), but my current ST17i doesn´t discover it by any means.
is there any Application (Android) for it in order to discover more BT Handsfrees, allowing me to discover and pair it my A4?.
I am able to send files via Bluetooth but cannot receive, when I try to search for my phone using my friends phone it doesnt detect my phone. I am using all the right settings i have set the phone to visible nothing seems to work.

I called up service centre and the explanation what they're giving is, my version is andriod 1. something and they says because if that only am not able to send any. Now i have to update my version too...its not fair. it was said it got bluetooth but no one said we can't send any through it.

When this happens the car radio controls freeze and I have to switch the radio off and then on again. It all used to work fine before under 1.6. Trouble is I've got a long 18 months left on contract using the X10 mini which I now regret buying after being talked into it at the Phones 4 U shop. I've tried my ancient SE K700i and it works perfectly, so it's not the car.
