I am able to send files via Bluetooth but cannot receive, when I try to search for my phone using my friends phone it doesnt detect my phone. I am using all the right settings i have set the phone to visible nothing seems to work.
View 9 RepliesAfter going through the update where it said that we could go now directly send and receive files using bluetooth but then I still can't seem to be able to use it. I have the options to send the files but whenever I do so it would say file transfer failed to the other phone I"m sending the file to. At bluetooth settings, it says 'paired but not connected'. Prior to update I was able to receive files but after so I can do neither.

I wonder why is it that I can't receive files from other devices thru bluetooth,though I already updated it to 2.1 and my bluetooth is already switched on. What should I do? Is it really like that? I go to Settings-->Wireless and Network-->Bluetooth. I switched on Bluetooth and device visibility. I accept the passcode and I am able to pair with other mobile phone.
But while the file is getting transferred from othe mobile phone, my Xperia mini pro suddenly stops transfer and says, "failed to receive file".

The problem is that while I can send files from my phone to my PC via bluetooth, I can't do vice versa. Everytime I try to send a file from my PC to my phone, the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard says,"The file transfer failed because the receiving Bluetooth computer or device did not respond.If you sent the file to another computer, that computer must be running the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. f you sent the file to a Bluetooth device, make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed.'m pretty sure that everything's enabled (Bluetooth discoverable on the phone, on the computer, etc). So what could possibly be the problem, and how can I fix it (if I even can)?
