Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Unable To Send File's Through Bluetooth?
Nov 25, 2011
I cant send any files though Bluetooth but i can receive any !! why is it so ???? i've been a regular user of Nokia and recently i just switched on to Sony but its so weird...it aint that user friendly, we cant handle any folders, cant manage any, conclusion will be as, we are meant to use the phone as the way it is..but compairing nokia actually Nokia let the user customise the phone ! I called up service centre and the explanation what they're giving is, my version is andriod 1. something and they says because if that only am not able to send any. Now i have to update my version too...its not fair. it was said it got bluetooth but no one said we can't send any through it.
I purchased Xperia Mini Pro (Black colour) on 15th March 2012. Am not able to receive files transferred from other mobile phones using Bluetooth.
I go to Settings-->Wireless and Network-->Bluetooth. I switched on Bluetooth and device visibility. I accept the passcode and I am able to pair with other mobile phone.
But while the file is getting transferred from othe mobile phone, my Xperia mini pro suddenly stops transfer and says, "failed to receive file".
The mobile has simcard and 2GB memory card. how to make file fransfers from other mobile working using bluetooth.
I am unable to either receive or send any file via Bluetooth, When a another device sees me and tries to send, It asks for passcode, which i create a 4 digit, in matter of seconds it times out and looses connection. Similarly when i trie to send a file from my device strom 2, i can never select other devices at all.
i installed the bluetooth file transfer app from the market and it worked fine for a couple of goes, then my 6 yr old got hold of my phone and i am not sure if he altered some sort of setting and it is now not sending out files (it says on the recieving phone, - connection dropped- ) it is also now not connecting to other phones. Is there anyway of finding out what had changed so i can fix it, would a reset work if so how to do it.
I can't transfer files between my xperia x8 and my lapton using Bluetooth File Transfer (which I downloaded from Android Market). I paired the two devices but it didn't help.
Can't seem to send pictures, music etc via bluetooth. I click on the picture then click on the message icon but there's no option for bluetooth. Plus my freind sent me a video from his blackberry via bluetooth and can't find it anywhere on my phone.
I am able to send files via Bluetooth but cannot receive, when I try to search for my phone using my friends phone it doesnt detect my phone. I am using all the right settings i have set the phone to visible nothing seems to work.
After going through the update where it said that we could go now directly send and receive files using bluetooth but then I still can't seem to be able to use it. I have the options to send the files but whenever I do so it would say file transfer failed to the other phone I"m sending the file to. At bluetooth settings, it says 'paired but not connected'. Prior to update I was able to receive files but after so I can do neither.
I have a Nokia 5800 XM. I am not able to receive any file via Bluetooth if that file is not openable by Nokia. ie., if I receive a jpg or mp3 file, it receives fine, and when I open it from Messages, it tries to open it, and then I save it from the Message to the Gallery. But when I try to receive some other type of files which is not supported by the mobile, it receives the message, but it fails to open the bluetooth message and as a result, I am not able to save it to the Mass Memory. It says Un supported files. Say for instance, I am trying to receive a docx (Microsoft Word) file, then I face this problem. Is there any way to save the file directly to any folder in memory without trying to open the received message?Had it been some protected files like .SIS or .SISX then I would agree, but It's bad if I am not able to receive general files.
My x10 mini pro is was working just fine until 3 days ago. But all of a sudden, it wasn't letting me send sms anymore. I still am able to receive sms though. Its just the problem with sending sms.Whenever i try to send an sms, it shows 'sending' for like 4 seconds and then shows 'could not send'.Been having this issue since 3 days and it still persists.Let me tell you what all i have done. (Except for restarting the phone a million times)
1. Network tower issue: To check if the issue was with the tower, i moved a good 30 miles away to another tower and it still had the issue. Plus, my other friends living just next door are able to send and receive sms through the same network operator.
2. Phone software issue: To check if it was an issue with the phone, i flashed my phone with the pc companion and installed a fresh copy of android 2.1. But the problem persists.
3. Sim: I removed and re-inserted the sim card a few times just to make sure the contact was proper with the chip. And it was properly connected. Now, the only thing thats left in my mind is if my operator changed the message centre number of the network. But then, there's no way of changing or editing the message centre number in android 2.1.It used to be in Home screen > Settings > Wireless controls > Mobile networks > SMS centre in 1.6.But unfortunately, it aint there anymore in 2.1.
I am not able to send SMS from my X10 Mini Pro, the search on the sonyericsson website and i follow the instructions but under Mobile NETWORK i coundn't find SMS center to put the number that i got it from my Provider,
1) Camera is not working, i am not able to capture any pics....when i open the camera it is showing out of memory error.(I am having enoungh space in memory card) even though i am getting this error.
2) I am unable to send or receive any files through bluetooth.
i am unable to send sms from my xperia x10 mini pro using my sim alone but i am able to send sms if my sim is placed in any other phones. please help me out to sort out this issue. There is no way to change sms settings in my phone since i updated it to android 2.1
I am experiencing problems connecting WM600 Bluetooth Handsfree to my handset. I've made my WM600 discoverable n scanned it with my X10 mini pro over and over but it doesn't work.
I've only had this pig of a phone a month and twice I've had to restore factory settings because I couldn't send texts or see my contacts, which means that I also had to re-do all my settings.
The messages I've had are - Activity Contacts (in application Contacts) is not responding. Force close or WaitSorry! Activity Messaging (in application Messaging) is not responding. Force close or WaitSorry! The application Messaging (process com.sonyericsson.conversations) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close
Turning the phone off and on doesn't help and the failing applications aren't there in Settings > Applications > Running Services, so I've performed Factory Data Reset, not SD card, then done all my settings again. This is really bugging me.
The phone is up to date, with Android version 2.3.4
i have nokia n8 but when i wanna send any ting via bluetooth i can't go to my photo and press on it and stay hold anew menu appear then i select send there's no via Bluetooth option avail
I can copy a file from the micro sd card to the computer no problem.I have applications/developmentUSB debugging ticked on.The micro sd card has no way of being locked, does it?I have simply connected the usb cable from the computer to the mini pro.Have no other problems in the usb connectivity, pc companion asks if it should be launched - and I successfully installed an update. When trying to paste a file - I get the following error: "The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected"
I have downloaded skype app on my computer for my xperia but i can not transfer this file to my mobile. Please suggest me how can i transfer this file to my phone or how can i install this app.
Unfortunately I can't seem to get any files from any phone via bluetooth. I just get a file transfer error message phone with no futher explanation. I have paired them up accepted the passcodes, turned off encryption but nothing, I even sent a picture from my blackberry to an existing phone which went fine and tried to resend the file back but it just will not work.
i am not able to send and receive files on my nokia 701 through Bluetooth...except one of my another nokia c5-03 on which i am only able to send the files but cannot receive from that also.
