i am unable to send sms from my xperia x10 mini pro using my sim alone but i am able to send sms if my sim is placed in any other phones. please help me out to sort out this issue. There is no way to change sms settings in my phone since i updated it to android 2.1
View 9 Replieshave checked with provider and nothing wrong at their end. up until friday all working fine, no downloads done or anything changed and since saturday unable to make calls or send sms. provider sent me new sim in case it was that but still doesn't work. sim does work (fully) in other mobiles though

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy x10 mini pro is was working just fine until 3 days ago. But all of a sudden, it wasn't letting me send sms anymore. I still am able to receive sms though. Its just the problem with sending sms.Whenever i try to send an sms, it shows 'sending' for like 4 seconds and then shows 'could not send'.Been having this issue since 3 days and it still persists.Let me tell you what all i have done. (Except for restarting the phone a million times)
1. Network tower issue: To check if the issue was with the tower, i moved a good 30 miles away to another tower and it still had the issue. Plus, my other friends living just next door are able to send and receive sms through the same network operator.
2. Phone software issue: To check if it was an issue with the phone, i flashed my phone with the pc companion and installed a fresh copy of android 2.1. But the problem persists.
3. Sim: I removed and re-inserted the sim card a few times just to make sure the contact was proper with the chip. And it was properly connected.Now, the only thing thats left in my mind is if my operator changed the message centre number of the network.But then, there's no way of changing or editing the message centre number in android 2.1.It used to be in Home screen > Settings > Wireless controls > Mobile networks > SMS centre in 1.6.But unfortunately, it aint there anymore in 2.1.
I am not able to send SMS from my X10 Mini Pro, the search on the sonyericsson website and i follow the instructions but under Mobile NETWORK i coundn't find SMS center to put the number that i got it from my Provider,
View 1 Replies View RelatedI cant send any files though Bluetooth but i can receive any !! why is it so ???? i've been a regular user of Nokia and recently i just switched on to Sony but its so weird...it aint that user friendly, we cant handle any folders, cant manage any, conclusion will be as, we are meant to use the phone as the way it is..but compairing nokia actually Nokia let the user customise the phone ! I called up service centre and the explanation what they're giving is, my version is andriod 1. something and they says because if that only am not able to send any. Now i have to update my version too...its not fair. it was said it got bluetooth but no one said we can't send any through it.

Turning the phone off and on doesn't help and the failing applications aren't there in Settings > Applications > Running Services, so I've performed Factory Data Reset, not SD card, then done all my settings again. This is really bugging me.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I try using the PC Companion to update my Xperia X10 mini it gets to preparing and it stays there for a while then gives the error 'Unable to install or start update components' I then click on OK and it says 'The update of software has failed.
If I try using the PC Companion it gets to preparing and it stays there for a while then gives the error saying 'An unexpected error has occurred. The application will shut down'I made some screen-shots of the errors.No matter what I try I cannot get it to work.
My X10 mini pro is consistently telling me a software update is available, and I must update via computer. However, the PC Companion says the software is already up to date. The phone has firmware 2.1-update1.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI dont know what i have done or deleted improperly but I can no longer get android market to work on my X10 mini pro phone today. I have tried clearing cache and re-starting phone, turning off wi-fi and turning it back on again. when i click on the Market Icon i just get a white screen briefly for under a second and then it goes back to standby/menu screen I cannot get android market at all. I dont really fancy restoring the phone back to factory defaults to get it sorted out, is there any other way I can restore the market can I maybe download it and associated files from the internet somewhere. My phone is updated to 2.1 firmware by the way.

When this happens the car radio controls freeze and I have to switch the radio off and then on again. It all used to work fine before under 1.6. Trouble is I've got a long 18 months left on contract using the X10 mini which I now regret buying after being talked into it at the Phones 4 U shop. I've tried my ancient SE K700i and it works perfectly, so it's not the car.

The camera does not not get activated when I press teh Key avalable at the side of the phone. When i activate the camera from the application menu, I could focus and also use the flash to take picture. A green dot appears at the top left corner of the screen and blinks for some time indicating it is ready to shoot. I also get a beep sound as it should normally happen when the shot is successful. But, the pictures are not saved on my phone. I tried both inserting a sim card and without it.

If my smartphone is connected to the wifi, everything is either very fast and good, or it loads only very slowly and almost did not go. It also disturbs other devices (PC, Playstation, etc.), which are then work very slowly. When i turn of my wifi from the smartphone, all other devices functioning again as always, and everything loads very fast again. I have that problem since one week.

At first I thought the battery ran out, but turns out I have plenty of battery and the phone is on charger now. Then I realised that phone works just fine, it rings when someone calls me, when there are some notifications you can hear a sound too. I can even set volume. Just the screen is black all the time.

Touch screen works, I receive calls, charging works, able to switch-off / switch-on, etc. Service Center person says liquid log near the display connector. Not sure where this water has come from into the phone and using very delicately as I am yet to complete EMI :-(

my phone (x10 mini) can't send sms..when I try to send one it says that's impossible I tryed a factory reset, then an update to last firmware, then to change the sim card..nothing.It seems to be a problem with the message center, but there isn't the option to change it..when I try to change the SMSC (by dialing *#*#4636#*#*) it says "update error"

Get message warning of potential high costs, but even when accepting this, get message saying you can't turn on Data Roaming when outside your home network. Is this the problem?
